Don’t tell your customer their order will be ready in 15min at 7:55pm and then only start making their drinks when they walk in at 8:20pm! :(There was nobody there either. Sigh. AU79 is much more efficient and right around the corner with plenty of seating.

Very disappointing experience this time. I was trying to explain to my Irvine friend the importance and significance of half and half. We ordered the Almond milk tea. A relatively safe drink. Usually a pretty mellow calm almond flavors masking the bitterness in the tea. Unfortunately there was barely any almond. It was a light brown color versus the usual milky tan color. :(I worked at half and half a year ago, so either they changed up the recipe or it was made wrong but… MANWHAT A LETDOWN. How can i defend the half and half legacy when the almond milk tea tasted like watered down milk tea?! I even ordered it less ice to prevent wateryness. Its worth noting that half and half has a remake for free policy(from what i remmember), but we were already halfway out the parking lot so we didnt turn back. So ill settle for a two star. See ya never Arcadia H&H!

I usually like half and half, I always get the milk slush with the honey boba and pudding! However, this time, I tried something new. I tried the brown sugar milk tea(hot) and let me tell you something. It felt like there wasn’t any sugar. I usually like things sweet, so I made my friend try it(who doesn’t like sweet) and she agreed that it’s basically a sugar free milk tea. Also, I ordered some drinks for my friends, and I asked for a to-go bag, and they told me it cost extra for it, even though other locations will gladly offer you a bag for free. WHATTHEHECK. DOTHEYEXPECTMETOHOLDLIKE3DRINKSINEACHHAND? Also, if you plan to go, bring cash! It’s cash only.

I had high expectations since this is half and half after all… but I was wrong. Don’t get me wrong, it was decent, but with other locations just five minutes away, I’d rather go there instead. I ordered a kumquat green tea with grass jelly and it came with a slice of lime, which made me question the kumquat-ness of my drink. Unlike other locations, it’s cash only and the to-go bags cost extra(and it’s closed on Tuesdays!-but I think it’s for all locations) :(The servers I had were also not the most polite even though it wasn’t busy and my friends and I were the only people there. TLDR: it was decent, but I’d rather go to the other half and half nearby. Also don’t ask for kumquat tea.

Poor service. We called in a phone order and they told us it would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived about 5 minutes early and they hadn’t even bothered to start making the drinks(and no, it wasn’t a packed store, we were in during a slow time and only one customer was in line). They completely messed up our drinks, blamed it on us and refused to remake them. Despite their posted policy(see pic) the cashier(Jiayi) didn’t want to remake the drinks because no manager was available. This store needs to get it together. I think I’ll stick with the half and half on San Gabriel and Las Tunas.

This might be the newest location for Half and Half. In the same plaza as CVS, Moffat’s and that one ramen place. :) Surprisingly, all the people waiting outside are waiting for the ramen place and not Half and Half. No line when I came Sunday afternoon for a boba fix. I already had boba during the week, so I compromised with myself and ordered a green tea with grass jelly. They still have the summer promo going on in October, where you can tack on a green apple green tea with lychee jelly for $ 2 more. I thought I’d give that a try and added it on. Total spent was $ 5.53. Pretty good drinks. I can see myself coming back for a nearby drink fix. Edit: There is a line when you come here for Thanksgiving! I stand(in line) corrected. :)

This is a must stop location for any Boba/BubbleTea connoisseur! As everyone says, order their milk tea with honey boba and pudding! Very tasty… and VERY filling. I could only finish half of mine… maybe it’s in the name — ‘a drink to share’. hehe :)

This Half and Half is my spot to hit up on weekends primarily for convenience purposes. Parking is easy to find, there’s hardly a wait unlike other locations, and they make their beverages just as good as any other Half and Half. Their drinks are very affordable and hit the spot every single time I come here. Some people complain about their drinks tasting bad or whatever in some reviews, but it really depends on what you order. My wife loves their taro milk teas and I love their green teas, and so far, we haven’t had any problems. Just a word of warning… their cups are HUGE! And by that, I mean they are wide, so they won’t fit in standard sized cup holders. And just to be safe, bring cash since they don’t take credit cards.

half & half… stands for half bucket, half cup. lol~ no seriously, their drink sizes are soup bowl(small) and bucket(large). They can replace your meals easily so i hate that they’re located right next to my favorite ramen joint… it’s like i have to pick between the two! argh~ Its cash only so hit up CVS next door if you need cash. I live taking socal visitors here since this size/boboa Isnt really available in PA.

So many options! The menu is vast and varied. The store configuration/flow is poor. Nice cashiers who will answer your questions about all of the drinks. Great price point. They offer a loyalty card. Drinks come out fast but bottlenecks at the pick up area(which also doubles as the ordering area). Their honeyboba is nice and chewy. I like this place!

One of the best mike tea I had in the US! The place is quite small, since it’s express. There are two benches for customer to sit, but most people just grab and go. You can customize how much ice and sugar you want in your tea. I ordered the mike tea with no ice and less sugar, and added boba. Their boba is honey boba, which is sweet itself. Even with less sugar, I kind of felt it was too sweet by the end. If you don’t like very sweet drink, I’d suggest to go with reduced sugar if you choose to add boba. The portion is pretty big considering the price you pay. They make the milk tea in hot too, but you need to wait extra 5 minutes.

This review is exclusively for the shop staff on 11÷6÷2015 at 5:36pm. The girl at the cash register could not care less about her job. It clearly showed on her face that she did not want to be there. My husband, for as long as I can remember, always orders their ice milk drink with pudding, grass jelly and honey boba and we’ve been to at least 5 locations in SGV. Yesterday he ordered an ice milk drink with pudding, taro pudding and honey boba but this girl told him that he could only choose 2 toppings not 3. OK we could have been wrong but 1) he ALWAYS got 3 items at other locations and 2) she could have explained that in a nicer way instead of acting annoyed and arguing with him as if he were stupid. The shop was almost empty with only 1 customer before us. As we sat down waiting for our drinks, a bunch of customers started to come in one after another. A few minutes later I knew my drink was done because I ordered a smoothie and could hear the blender on then off. 5 more minutes went by and still we did not get called so we walked to the front to check and saw the guy who made the drinks putting about 7 cups on the counter at once and the customer behind us even got called first. I ran out of patience so I walked up to the counter and told the girl at the register our number and what she did was rudely pushing the drinks to us. I was so relieved the moment we got the drinks and walked out the door because had I been in there even just a minute longer I would have said something I would regret later.

Overview: Half and Half Tea Express is a To-Go version of the original sit-down Half and Half Tea in San Gabriel, CA. It serves top-notch milk-tea and slushee boba drinks in large quantities with wonderful twists such as grass jelly, hot honey, and pudding. The Food: Half and Half Tea is known for its«Hot Honey» but don’t let that stop you from tring out everything on their menu. Whether it’s a fruit slushee, grass jelly, boba, almond milk, or hot honey, I have always been very pleased with the flavor profile of what I get fro Half and Half. I love how their«large» size is practically a small bucket, and I absolutely love they give you the option to keep their ingredients unblended because the novelty of swirling it around yourself is actually pretty relaxing. I give my highest recommendation to the drinks at Half and Half Tea and have not yet determined what is my favorite. I almost always order off their«Top 10» menu and have never been disappointed so my recommendation is to do the same. The Establishment/Service: There’s not much to say because it’s a very tiny place with no table service. They’re decently quick considering their popularity. Also bring cash! No credit cards are accepted here at least as of Oct, 2015. Conclusions: Exceptional drinks, great creativity, moderate pricing, but To-Go only :-(.

My favorite boba place in the area. My favorite is Bo’s coffee with honey boba or the regular milk tea with honey boba. The drinks are never overly sweet even when I forget to order half sweet, which is a plus. Bottom line: whatever you get, add the honey boba. It’s always served hot and tastes delicious!

A hidden gem amongst all the half and half places I’ve been to! It’s an express location so they only serve drinks here. Maybe that’s why this location is more efficient. I’ve never had to wait long for my drinks so if I’m in the area and craving half & half(which is often), I’ll come here. So far my drinks have been the same consistency and quality as that from other half and half locations. This location may be small and quaint compared to other locations but they don’t expect people to really lounge around. It’s a order and take to-go type of location. Just be sure to pay attention to what days they are closed because like all half and half locations there is one weird off day like monday or tuesday.

The drinks were decent, service was fast. I ordered the almond milk tea, it was pretty good without me having to ask for less sugar. It was hard to locate(but that’s not necessarily their fault). Stop by if you need a quick drink.

I have always like the drinks from Half and half. I have always dislike the wait in Half and Half. This store has the balance. It’s by far the shortest line of all the half and half I have been too. It’s tiny inside. But service was better than I thought. I waited about 2 min in line and then 5 min for my drink. They also accommodated my request of half sweeten. I would go back if I am in the area. My favorite– milk tea with pudding and boba. Runner up– milk tea with taro and boba. And I don’t even usually like boba!

Props to whoever that made my drink! By far the best half and half I have ever had out of all the locations. I ordered a white iced milk with caramel and egg pudding with extra ice and it was perfect. This is the only drink that I get at half and half and this location couldn’t make it any better. I got my extra ice as asked and it was not too sweet and not bland! I just wish this location wasn’t so far but I’m ever in the area, watch half and half, I’m coming for you! ;)

Drinks here are decent. I usually order the Iced Milk drink with honey boba($ 3.85) or just the regular milk tea($ 2.85) and they consistently taste good. The boba here is top-notch and nine out of ten times it is usually warm and fresh. I know a while back there was a youtube video where the regular size actually turns out to be more or the less the same size as the large, so I usually opt for the regular now… Has anyone figured out if it’s still the same? One drink I wouldn’t get is the rose green tea($ 2.85) as it is overly floral and the rose flavoring completely washes out the tea itself. If you are a rose green/oolong tea type of person, definitely check out AU across the street. Service and parking are good, but they do not take phone orders unless it is over $ 10 which is annoying. Sometimes, you just want to get in and out. But you end up waiting forever. Oh, and they do not take credit cards :(

New location of Half and Half! I used to not like there drinks because they were so sweet, but I really enjoyed my less sugar drink. Small and tight inside, like all the other Half and Half’s Can get really cramped if there were a lot of people in line. No tables, just two long benches. Not really a place to get boba and chill. Drink take like 5 – 10 minutes to make, even longer if it is packed. Milk Tea w/Boba and Pudding, large — $ 2.85 + $.50 + $.50 + $.85 — Back the first locations opened this was so sweet. But I got less sugar and it was perfect! You could taste the milk and tea flavors without the sweetness killing it. Boba was warm and chewy. Pudding was like eating daan tat custard, so good! Coffee Milk Tea w/Boba and Taro Pudding, large — $ 2.85 + $.50 + $.50 + $.85 — I wanted to try something new. Less sugar. Good blend of coffee and milk. I could taste a lot of hazel nut creamer. Taro pudding was good and not as sweet as the egg pudding. Got bamboozled into getting the larger size for $.85 more. I kept telling myself its so much bigger for so cheap! Make sure you shake all the boba around before poking the straw so you can evenly mix the boba syrup throughout the drink. Still hate these fat cups since they fit nowhere! Less sugar is a must!
