Hooven Property Management

I had an easy time renting from Hooven Property Management. Libby is trustworthy and quick to respond to needs.
What I liked best is that she holistically review your application. I was upfront that I was moving out of a home that I owned with my former partner and that I didn’t have a recent rental history and that my credit report would should a mortgage.
She is also quick to respond. After moving in I discovered some minor repairs that need to be made. I left a message at her office at 9AM and three hours later the maintenance was taken care of.
I’ve rented from both Professional Property Management and Humboldt Property Management. Both companies are difficult to communicate with and withhold information. Libby and her staff communicate quickly and have an office that makes you feel more like a client and less like a tenant. The other property management companies will make you feel like you are bothering them.
I work with students at HSU and would feel comfortable recommending Hooven Property Management to both students and parents.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOOVEN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT!
I believe Hooven Property Management to be rude and unresponsive property managers.
They have not been helpful and told off and brought my 19 year-​old daughter to tears rather than answering my simple requests.
The short of it:
* 800 miles from our daughter attending college at Humboldt State.
* Moved daughter into a Hooven Property with three other girls.
* All windows in apt. had covers on them EXCEPT my daughter’s 1^st floor sliding glass window — easy to see in from outside. She could not change in there without putting up a sheet.
* I nicely called (from So. Calif) and left message to have this fixed so she could feel comfortable and safe in her bedroom. Maybe she could buy and put up her own curtain. NO RESPONSE!
* Made 3 more calls. No person called back. Only could leave voice messages.
* Then they called my daughter at the apartment, told her off, and brought her to tears, rather than calling me. Cowards
* She called me in tears. I guess that’s how they treat their family.
Up to the point of renting they were also unresponsive and unhelpful.
THEY HAVE JUST BEEN A PLAIN BAD EXPERIENCE!
I WOULD BE CAREFUL WHEN DOING BUSINESS WITH HOOVEN PROPERTY MANGAMENT!

Rented a condo from Libby and was very happy with her attitude and service time frames. She kept in contact on repair matters that were brought to her attention.
I would rent from her again!
