Akmal’s Kitchen

Mr. Akmal brings delicious, home cooked Indian /​Pakistani food to the Ballston area every day in his food truck. Not only is the food awesome and prices reasonable, the owners are extremely nice. I’ve only been a few times but he already gives me extra’s for being a loyal customer. Today, his credit card machine wasn’t getting online and I had no cash, so he just let me have the food and said, «pay next time.» How nice is that? The exact same scenario played out a few minutes before at a neighboring food truck (yes I know, I really should carry cash!). It had credit card symbols on the truck, only found out they weren’t accepting them once I got to the front of the line… after 15 minutes of waiting! But all I got there was «sorry you had to wait in line.» Akmal could have done the same, but he didn’t. What a classy dude! And to top it off, he was giving out free samosas to those waiting in line. Well done Mr. Akmal, well done.
