Not bad but not as good as some bagel places. From the ads, I expected just rows of bagels or at least an interesting selection(like they have at Bagel World) but it was your standard fare. The restaurant reminded me of a Finagle a Bagel than a place that just specializes in bagels. Service was fast and polite. Prices were okay, and the two bagel sandwiches we ordered were packed with salmon and corned beef. Coffee was okay. The hazelnut was delicious but the vanilla tasted a bit sour. I’m not super close to any of their locations so I wouldn’t be likely to make a return visit, however, if they aren’t busy and you’re in the area it’s a nice place to grab food.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is by far the worst service I have ever received. I have been to this restaurant 3 times and every time, they forget something. Today I ordered through their online ordering, and when I got there to pick up my order it wasn’t finished and was done incorrectly. I was also spoken to by the manager saying that they do not make my order anymore. I ordered two pizza bagels and I asked for it on two halves. They said they don’t do it that way. However they did honor making it the way I requested. I then had to wait another 15 minutes while they made the second order. When they finally completed my order, they also had forgotten to include the two beverages I paid for. I will never be coming back here. Don’t waste your time. Their bagels aren’t that good. Their service is even worse. … Oh, BTW, I got home and opened my two pizza bagel boxes and THEYWERETHEWRONGBAGELS!!!

I like old management better. Price seems to be always different depending upon who the cashier is with new management. Also the quality of food seems to have decreased a little bit. I go there at least four days a week. The egg and cheese wraps seem to be more wrap than actual egg and cheese these days. Also $ 1.25 for onions and capers is outrageous on just a cream cheese bagel. unfortunately I think I’ll be doing business elsewhere in the future. Prices are just fluctuating and quality seems to go down. It’s unfortunate because I work nearby so they’ll be losing not just me but a lot of my staff. They don’t seem to frequent there as much anymore either with similar complaints. Also at the end of the day they used to sell bagels half off. They don’t do that anymore. The new manager I guess would rather toss out the bagels then sell them half off I guess. It’s a shame for a business in a small area like the Heights to have so many complaints. Also they are never open passed 3p so needs to updated!

My review is based on a lot visits Sunday morning, picking up the baker’s dozen, cup of coffee and some cream cheese, and for buying bagels In Arlington MA. It’s not a throwdown with NYC, as I used to stop at the H&H Factory in NYC to pick up 2 dozen while rolling though and my father would say,” bagels at the store(west side next to Zabars) are better” so pretty strong opinions in the family. so… Bagels are out of the oven fresh, multiple choices abound, so much so I would have relatives that would respond«that’s a bagel?» my son super digs that jalapeño cheddar bagel, you heard that right. all the traditional choices are there too from salt, to poppy, egg, sesame, etc. but the fresh bagels have the right bite, and you can easily eat them fresh from the bag with a smear. can’t say that with half baked and finished in the oven you can find in some places. So props to the fresh bagels. A variety of cream cheeses for take out also abound. plain, light, bacon and scallion, lox, etc. The price is reasonable. I get out of there with a coffee, bakers dozen and some cream cheese under $ 15. as for customer service, as I see some people complain about it, I get it, but I’m only there in the morning, and every bagel joint I’ve been into, if you are there in the morning, it usually means some have been in there since like 3 or 4 in the morning making bagels, prepping, so doesn’t usually rub me the wrong way. if you’re eating in, room is spacious, looks comfortable. I like em, family likes em’ I’m going to keep coming back.

Nice bagle shop. Bagels, muffins, and pastries are fresh in the morning. Coffee is good. Honestly been here for breakfast only. Plenty of parking on street and in parking lot. Quiet atmosphere. Food is good. Service is acceptable(not friendly but not rude). Never seems to be overly busy with plenty of seating. Might just be during breakfast time. Takes credit cards, offers gift cards. Overall a good average place.

I would really like to give a 3.5, but I give it a 3. I was so so excited to try this place, because I love love bagels. It was real cool seeing all the uncommon flavors(like sunflower or salt — I will be going back to try them!!) I went with a garlic bagel. The reasons I gave them a 3 is because. The staff isn’t very friendly, but the place is clean. I found the bagels to be a little too bready. It just wasn’t toasted at all in the middle. I think it’s more the timer in the toaster than the bagel itself, but I don’t know. I would’ve liked to see the bagels seeded on both sides. With the name Bagelville, I would’ve thought they were the best bagels around. The good thing about this place is that it’s way better than the other places in the area. It beats Dunkin Donuts and Panera by far. It’s not too busy or loud, so it’s a great place sit, enjoy coffee and read/study. Plus they’re not cheap with the cream cheese. I will be going back to try more bagels soon.

Bagels are ok so we decided to try a breakfast sandwich as a quick stop. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. I barely had a ½ patty of sausage in the sandwich. It was marginal, expensive and overpriced. Not surprised this location is empty every time I have gone in. Better places to go.

Got a dozen bagels here for my family today! Some of the best bagels(and salmon cream cheese) I’ve had in the area! Super soft on the inside. Definitely a good alternative to the panera that was there before!

I went in one morning figuring I would try a new place for a breakfast sandwich instead of the typical Panera or Dunkin’ Donuts. Bagelville was great and beats both of them. They have very good bagels. Their breakfast sandwiches feature legitimate eggs: they don’t just microwave something, they are legitimately cracking eggs open onto a griddle. I would definitely come back for the bagels and/or bagel sandwiches.

Great bagels, great breakfast sandwiches. It loses a star for what everyone else seems to have said here. The cashier staff tend to be underwhelmed and strain at friendliness to say the least. Nearly 100% of the time I go in there at least two staff members are sitting at tables and it almost always seems like an inconvenience to them when customers walk in. That being said, the cooks etc. are great at what they do, delicious eggs & bagels(although I really don’t feel like they toast them –and they always ask if you want your bagel toasted so maybe they shouldn’t even bother asking). The smoothies are also quite good, fyi.

There’s a dearth of decent/acceptable breakfast fare in the Arlington Heights area as far as I can tell, so this fairly passable place gets a boost just because there’s not much else in the area that really serves the same purpose. With that said… The food is pretty substantial(I want to use the word«meaty» but I don’t mean that to say that it’s always full of meat) — sizable portions and everything is pretty thick. They’re not the type of place that skimps on ingredients or toppings. Decent bakery selection, though it’s pretty generic(and generic-tasting) bakery fare. Staff are either very unmotivated or just generally confused, which is potentially par for the course — but with that said they haven’t really screwed up my orders in unforgivable ways — mostly they just get confused across different bagel types. But like I said, what else are you going to do, it’s not like there’s a Bruegger’s nearby or anything. Also, it’s very possible that this place is a nightmare during regular bagel/breakfast hours. If that were the case when I were trying to go here, I’d probably be pretty upset. But I’ve only popped in on late weekend mornings and it’s been deserted, so I haven’t had to wait for anything other than my bagel sandwiches being assembled. If this places closes and puts the number of bagel/breakfast/brunch places in the Heights down to zero, I’m going to be sad.

I waited to write this review until I came in several times just to ensure I just did not catch them on a bad day… Well, I agree with most reviews here. Staff is uninterested with an attitude, clearly prefers to be somewhere else. They do no know how to make a tuna melt sandwich. The cheese is not melted and the tuna inside is cold. Most of the time they are out of ice for drinks and you have to ask for utensils as they are almost always out. Décor seems to be outdated despite trying to look modern. I miss Panera Bread that was here before. Only reason I give them 2 stars is that their bagels appear to be pretty good. I hope management reads this reviews and try to improve. However, they have been here for a year but nothing improved.

This is our«go to» place for breakfast bagels. The egg and cheddar on toasted whole wheat(with or without bacon) is just fantastic. They follow the bagel-egg-cheese-egg-bagel pattern. Fresh! Soooo good! We haven’t really experimented with the rest of the menu. Free WiFi. Coffee’s fine. Convenient to the bus and right in the middle of Arlington Heights. The hours are pretty frustrating. They close earlier than we would like. Bottom line: For breakfast, a hole in one!(Get it?)

I never write reviews but i I’ve just had it with this place. I will never go back. Some of the rudest staff and never can do an order right. Can’t even make a hot bagel sandwich. Have asked several times now and is freezer cold each time.

I just had my first experience with Bagelville. I have been meaning to give it a try since it replaced Panera. It is so close to home, but I do not see myself running back there anytime soon. It wasn’t terrible, but just ok. The counter help forgot my lemonade so that took a few extra minutes of waiting as it is fresh squeezed. I ordered a ham and swiss melt on a plain bagel. The bagel was fresh, but just average. The sandwich wasn’t bad, but melted swiss cheese can make anything taste delicious. I think I was most disappointed by the atmosphere. Panera seemed to have more seating options and an atmosphere more condusive to meeting with friends and clients. I am curious to try their breakfast and coffee sometime, but only if there aren’t any other options.

I have been here a few times for the odd breakfast sandwich and coffee, but tonight is the last time I’ll be entering this establishment. I checked their page on Unilocal and saw that they are listed as being open until 6pm. Perfect timing for a coffee during my break. Immediately upon my entry, the man at the counter yelled out«we’re closed.» I insisted it said six and that I only wanted a coffee. He began to argue with me, when I stated«you should lock the doors then,» and turned to leave. On my way out, he shouted«what did you say? Be a man, tell me what you said!» I was being a man by not entertaining this individual and walking out. I cannot believe I was treated this way, and if the owner reads these reviews, they should speak with their staff about basic interpersonal interactions… especially with a customer.

We’ve been going to Bagelville almost every weekend when we’re in town and want a quick, zero hassle, reasonably priced, and yummy bagel breakfast. The bagels are not the best in the world, but it’s slim pickings in Arlington, and this place beats Bagels by Us and Dunkin hands down. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and always go out of their way to bring our order over or offer extra napkins when we have our hands full with our toddler. I love that there is ample parking, ample seating, never a long wait, and it is always clean. My family loves the egg and cheese sandwiches(they cook real, whole eggs), the fresh squeezed orange juice, and the everything bagels(not too salty, and no fennel seed). They definitely don’t skimp on the cream cheese.

Updated: went back this weekend. Staff seemed more engaged and helpful. Its a good thing as the bagels here are great. Would be a shame if it closed. Staff is awful. Consistently mess up orders. Long wait times despite very few customers. No hustle or sense of urgency. «I dont give a …» attitude from the kid who takes your order. After speaking with the apathetic manager, I know exactly why. Been here a few times and its always the same. This place will be closed within 6 months. Never been crowded even on saturday/sunday mornings.

I live right down the street from here and my husband and I tried it 3 different times for our Sunday breakfast. Each and every time I’ve come away with the same blahhhhh feeling. The bagels have zero flavor and this unpleasant texture. The cream cheese is a little bitter… how does that happen? My daughter who is 3 and a chocoholic took two bites of their double chocolate muffin and refused it. Boring bland food to match the bland employees. I gave it 3 tries and I’m done. Yuck! The two stars is simply for the coffee that was passable okay because I could make it the way I wanted with the variety of milk/cream and sweeteners they have. Wish it had stayed a Panera or was a bruggers.

The food here is passable. The staff seem tired and uninterested. The décor has a modern edge, but feels like a cross between Tim Horton’s and McDonalds. Bagelville is in no way a replacement for the Panera Bread that was here before. Not a very relaxing environment and one I won’t be visiting often except when I’m out of options. The only upside is that they will make you an affordable healthy smoothie if you order off menu.
