My husband and I were in the area the other night and dropped in for dinner. We ordered hummus and lentil soup to start out. It was great. Then we had salad. I had the Fattoosh salad. Both were so great. I had to take half of mine to go it was so much to eat! I ordered the Beef Shwarma platter and my husband ordered the Mixed grill. I was undecided so we ordered the Sautee Shrimp also! OMG everything was so perfect, tasty and tender! We will definitely be returning to Beirut Café soon.

This is definitely a bang for your buck place. Food is good, service is ok, place needs an update, but it’s good for poor college kids! I got salmon filet and it was dry like usual. The rice was old, but ok. Otherwise, decent. The boy got beef swarma and it was dry as well. Both dishes ok, but couldn’t have been bigger for the price of about $ 10-$ 12 each dish.

The food is amazing! And cheap! Those pickles!!! That falafel!!! Lebanese coffee!!! They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Also, the waiters are really nice and don’t mind if you ask them a lot of questions.

Ah, comfort food at its finest, makes me want to travel to Jordan lol. Blessed to have this restaurant so close by! And those lunch specials are GREAT. I usually order the caesar salad with some tomatoes, and WOW this salad gives me so much life. When I eat a full salad feeling very satisfied, I’m astounded. So yes, good job to them for making a tasty and equally healthy salad that my friends and I adore. Also, I dig their shwarmas sandwiches(chicken, lamb) and the sauces they use with them. During lunch specials though, I get their chicken shwarma plate over rice and I’m in love. It has a side of hummus and a bit of whatever else you want as a side(fries, baba ganoush, salad, etc.) and they give pita bread slices too. It’s always shareable and filling for two people. I just love how there’s cut almonds in the rice, very authentic way of making a Mediterranean type of rice dish. For this detail, I will choose Beirut Rock Café over Prince Lebanese Grill and others. I’m weird, I know. :P The drinks are also pretty good! Mint lemonade, reminiscent of Jordan’s signature drink, packs a punch, as well as their peach mango smoothies. WOW those remind me of my childhood for some reason. So yummy~ The Turkish coffee is not the best though, I wouldn’t recommend it from here. My only complaints is that sometimes when I order things, they don’t get my order right(few times this has happened) so it’s best if you are very clear to them while ordering over phone, or just come in and sit down to eat. But so far, they’ve been pretty good about everything getting sorted out. Overall, check this humble establishment out, especially if you’re in the area.

Over a year after review I thought I would update to say that’s it’s still love. My family and I have made many visits over the last year, and I even got my parents loving it. My 3 year old picky eater loves their hummus and rice. My favorite is the chicken kabob dinner with either hummus or Greek salad and rice. They give you so much food there is enough to share or bring home for lunch the next day. My husband loves to order the chicken shawarma topped hummus and the Cesar salad.

My husband is Arab and he knows what Mediterranean food supposed to taste like. He loves Beirut café. We go there frequently. Their baba ganoush and tabouli are very tasty. I would recommend shawarma sandwich. It’s very juicy. Pita bread is always fresh. Also, if you feeling a little bit under the weather, try lentil soup. That will soon become your comfort food, I promise! Service is a little bit slow even if the restaurant is not full. I have no idea why. They don’t seem to be understaffed.

Oh yeah, I’ll definitely be back. We just finished eating a to-go order of the mixed grill plate and kibbe with rice, hummus, and included pita bread, and LET me tell you about how good it was. The kibbe was delicious and very filling and had a dipping sauce with it. The hummus was in a separate small container and there was a very healthy portion, like a straight up solid inch in the bottom which was super great. There were two whole giant pita bread pieces still in the bag they came from, a «Baklava Bakery» which sounds delightful, haha. I’m assuming the baklava I ordered came from there too, and it’s not my favorite but I still enjoyed it because it was still baklava for goodness sakes. It was very syrupy, and the syrup had a very straight-sugar taste, no spice or flavoring other than just sugar. And best for last: the meat and rice! I still haven’t found my favorite mid-cities koobideh source, but I’ve definitely found my favorite chicken and lamb kabob place! The rice was lovely and soft and flavorful!

Great, solid delivery of Mediterranean classics in an enjoyable, diner-like setting. Highly recommend. We ordered the lentil soup, as well as an order of hummus, vegetarian grape leaves(dolmas), and a small pot of Arabic coffee. Everything was delicious. The hummus is silky smooth, beautifully plated, with a delightful tangy bite(huzzah for tahini!), and an irresistible slick of good olive oil. The dolmas are great, too — fresh, tart, tangy, and very grape-like. The lentil soup was… good. My socks are still on. It comes with a very wonton-like fried pita chip, which is rather charming. Speaking of pita, they’re very generous with it here — it’s more of the flat, almost tortilla-like pita variety than the fluffy, bread-like pita you see at some places, but the flavor is spot on, it’s sturdy enough for scooping, doesn’t overwhelm(like a lot of the fluffier stuff), and is beautifully fresh and pliable. The Arabic coffee was also fantastic and very traditional — watch out for the grounds at the bottom of the pot, and be aware that it takes a while to brew. This won’t come out with your appetizers. I love the décor here — it still has the comfy, homey feel of a diner, but since the renovation they’ve really stepped up their décor game. The big mirrored mural/mosaic is delightful and they’ve got great, interesting textured walls all over the place. The restrooms are a little grody. Nothing too gross — think paper towels on the floor, empty plastic tubs in the corner, etc. Not a deal-breaker, by any means, just something to be aware of. The service is also great, and our waiter was attentive and helpful. He was incredibly patient and generous about letting me sit at a table for 15 minutes waiting for my boyfriend to get there, even as they were running out of tables and I wasn’t ordering anything yet. His English was great, but not his original language, so my fast-talking, snarky joke about them carrying whiskey didn’t go over very well, but I fault myself for that one. :-) As far as the vegetarian options, they pretty much stick with the standard Mediterranean veg fare — nothing too extraordinary — but there’s still plenty to choose from. The veg platter for two is fantastic — it would be awesome if they could offer a scaled-down one-person version for those of us who think everything looks delicious.

I need to update my review because they added some more traditional dishes to their menu, like the stuffed squash and mansaf. Any place that does this is truly legit and these dishes are just as good as the rest of their menu. I’m glad this place exists when I’m too lazy to make this type of food for myself.

I have had Greek before but that was the sum total of experience with this kind of food, I am so glad that changed today. Not know what to order we got the sampler plate with hummus and baba ghanoush and falafel, I’m in love I don’t know what else to say. For $ 40 we waddled out of there and there was still enough food for 2 more people. The food in general has more spice than Greek so that might appeal more to our Texas palate, it’s fresh and friendly and informative and one of the best meal experiences I have had in a long time.

Overall score: 4⁄5 Reason for knock down: aesthetic Food and service: 5⁄5 This place usually gets pack in peak lunch hours and dinner hours. If you want to be guaranteed a table without waiting, it would b best to plan for a late lunch/early dinner(me and my friend went around 3pm and there was only one other person eating). The staff was nice and friendly, we were greeted on entering and had great service all the way through. The menu had a good amount of selections, all the common items found in any real mediterranean restaurants. Me and my friend ordered one plate, the chicken shawarma with pita and hummus, to share. It was a good call because it was HUGE; just enough to fill up two people, maybe even three. Bonus? Only paid $ 6 per person($ 12 total). So, you can order to share or order for yourself and take the rest home. The taste was great; pita was nice and warm, hummus was smooth and tasty; rice was flavorful, and the chicken was tender and juicy. Although everything was great, I think the owners should invest in making the place a bit more appealing, at least on the inside. The place was clean, but decorations looked like they were DIY’d. And im sure they make plenty of money since they fill up quickly in peak hours. Another bonus for UTASTUDENTS: only 10 minute walk, or so from edge of campus(near business building). Overall, a must try!

Definitely one of my favorite places to go to in the DFW area. Food is amazing and fresh, the hummus plates are always good. The lamb is cooked perfectly and is really savory. The only is that the food does take a little while to come out, but that’s why it’s so good!

It’s not the prettiest place to look at, but that’s not it’s purpose in life. The food is amazing, cheap, and oh so reliable. Going to Beirut Rock was a weekly affaire for me for almost 2 years. I was even there when they were remodeling the patio, and had to listen to a very loud power drill, but I didn’t care. My mazza plate overpowered any unpleasantries at the time. I’ve never had anything from this place that I didn’t like.

This a small restaurant that you would’ve overlooked unless you heard about it from someone else but it’s definitely worth trying. Their hummus is AMAZING! ! I also had their chicken shawarma sandwich and had a bite of the gyro sandwich and everything was delicious. Light but still tasteful and satisfying.

This place is amazing. I grew up in a Syrian home where we hand made everything and the food was out of this world. Fast forward to now where I am busy *ahem semi lazy* and want home cooked food. Beirut Rock delivers every time. Their kabobs are always cooked perfectly, the appetizer dishes(meat pies, hummus, baba ganoush, kibbe etc.) never disappoint and well I love rice and theirs is fantastic; not to mention their prices are fair and the portions are large enough to share.(I recommend ordering your own though, it’s that good!) My personal favorites are: Baba Ganoush, cheese pies, kibbe, lamb pies(lamb safiha), kabob mixed grill, lentil soup with extra lemon and of course Arabic coffee. My advise to you is do not judge this place off appearances. The food is phenomenal and the waitstaff is very friendly– I highly doubt you’ll be disappointed.

We decided to check this place out before we caught a show at Improv. Unilocal never fails us so we ventured out to this place. It wasn’t love at first sight that’s for sure. I’ve learned over the years don’t judge a book by its cover. We walked in and was greeted right away and instantly smelled something burning. We gave each other a look and decided to ignore it. On to our table… holy crap! The tables behind us were so dirty and food was all over the floor(gross). Normally I would grab my purse and run but since Unilocal typically doesn’t fail we still wanted to try it(I know crazy). Well glad I closed my eyes and decided to stay! The hummus was soooo freakin’ good. Pita bread was a bit hard but the hummus made me quickly forget. On to the next we had the gyro and lamb chops. The food was so good I hated that we shared. I honestly could’ve eaten it all by myself(don’t judge me). I gave it 3 stars only because of how dirty the place was. This will cause your customers to run for the hills. Hopefully this is not always the case.

How have I not reviewed this place yet? Let me say this, compared to Prince down the street, this place creams them with hummus! Everything is better here, the dips, food, portion sizes, pita bread, and quality. In terms of portion size and cost it’s the absolute best in Arlington. I get take-away here all the time when I’m in the mood for Mediterranean. I have a place across the street from me but I drive here no question. I’m picky. Whoever the owner let decorate this place shouldn’t have. It’s a little back ally Beirut«I’m about to be bombed» feel, which I myself find endearing but I know it’s hurting business. I need this place. Prince down the street gets much more business because they redid an old Sonic and somehow got on the food network for it. The Décor needs a professional but no way I would take off a star because there is nothing to complain about here :)!! Always a pleaser and oh yeah the rice is perfect! Go here over Prince, where the hummus I think sits in the same pot 24⁄7? Theirs has a funky taste and smell EVERY time! I found a hair in my food there once to make matters worse. Something just ain’t right there! I pray this place stays in business and hires a professional to decorate the restaurant. BESTINTOWN! Thanks to the owners for staying consistently delish!

Delish and very affordable! Their lamburger is only $ 3.99 and it’s one of their most popular items on the menu! I almost always get a lamburger whenever I come here. The meat is very hot and decadent with unique flavor and the onions do a great job of bringing out the white mayo sauce. Beirut’s hummus is much better than Prince Lebanese. Put that ish on everything. Hummus on your pita bread, hummus on your shawarma, hummus on your gyro, hummus on your lamburger, hummus on hummus… Hummus on everything! P: Even their walls look like their hummus, LOL. Their chicken shawarma is very good too, but Prince has that one beat, which is okay. Shawarma from both places are wonderful. Prince’s shawarma just has more flavor in their rice and their chicken is extra tender. Beirut’s has a lighter undertone of flavor so it depends on what you prefer. I like their service as well. Always friendly and we get to sit anywhere. Decoration of the restaurant is very simple and homey. Love it, Beirut. Or should I say, Bae-rut? ;) Keep it up :)

I was extremely skeptical of coming here at first. Mediterranean/Greek/Lebanese has never been my top choice, but my boyfriend wanted to come here for his birthday dinner. After many attempts to stick my nose up to it, we went… but I’m so glad we did! Looking at the menu can be a little over whelming when you don’t know what exactly the food is. But don’t be afraid to ask! The waiter was excellent in explaining everything in detail and giving his recommendation. Upon his recommendation of the Baba ghanoush, I went with that as well as grilled chicken and French fries. Safe meal plan when I was nervous to try something new. I love hummus so I was pleasantly surprised with how amazing the Baba ghanoush was. It has this creamy, smokey flavor that is so good. I actually like it much better then hummus! The grilled chicken was just ok. The seasoning on it wasn’t to my liking, but it was cooked perfectly. I love super grilled meat, and my chicken was grilled crunchy! The French fries were excellent too! My boyfriend got the steak kabobs, OMG amazing! I was secretly hoping he didn’t like it so I could switch plates with him I will 100% be back to get the steak kabobs, fries, and Baba ghanoush.

Falafel Wrap — warm and tasty. The falafels were delicious! Greek Salad — good to share for two people, leaves room for meal. Gyros with Rice — the rice was super good. The hummus I could have done without but that’s because I’m not as experienced with hummus as others. The lamb/beef tasted really good with the(sour cream?) they gave us. Overall, the fast-ish service pleased us and the food was good enough to say I would 10⁄10 come here again

Wow wow wow! Never had greek food before. Did my Unilocal search and chose this place. It is near UTA. Had the hummus with lamb. The size is generous. The hummus was smooth. So different from store bought. So very tasty. It is about $ 8. Had a Gyro and it was also huge. Ordered it with some rice which was served on a large plate. I wasn’t able to finish my food. I’m a light eater so these servings are like a 3 day meal for me. My fiancée eats hearty and he wasn’t able to finish the rice. He ate the gyro up quick. This place has bad reviews for service but I didn’t experience that. We came here around 12 pm. It was slow. Our bill was about $ 25. WOW! We usual eat at places where the average meal cost is about $ 80 so this is awesome! Great food. Tasty. Service is good. Clean restaurant. Small though not a place for large groups. They do have outside seating if you have a group.

So close to campus and great for lunch. I love the hummus and Pita bread! The tabouli salad, tsaziki sauce, tilapia, rice, gyros, sliced peanuts its all just perfect. Great food at a great value. They need to make this place bigger. It’s always crowded. Sometimes I have to walk from campus because parking near the restaurant is full. The wait is minimal and the staff is friendly. I strongly recommend it.

We drove to Arlington last night to go to a particular store. My husband told me to get on Unilocal to find us a place to eat. I pulled out my phone and got on the app. Before I could tell him anything he pulls into Beirut. Beirut is a small restaurant across from UTA. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but it’s nicely decorated on the inside. They had plenty of booths which I liked since I prefer them over a table. Good for groups, but probably not more than 6. It was pretty busy though for a week night. We started off with the fried kibbie. It looked like a hush puppy of sorts. It was stuffed with lamb and spices. So good! I got the chicken kabobs with a Greek salad and lentil soup. A pita bread with onions, spices, and a red sauce that looked and tasted like ketchup sat on top of the kabobs. I don’t think it was ketchup, but whatever it was paired well with the pita! Chunks of chicken with bell pepper and tomato. The chicken was flavorful, but on the dry side which the Tzatziki sauce helped. The sauce was different from other Tzatziki sauces I had, but it was good. My Greek salad was delicious. The lentil soup wasn’t bad, but it was missing something. They give you a basket of pita bread as well. I’m done with bread for a while but I did try it. Not bad but a little on the hard side for pita bread. My husband got the Gyro and devoured it pretty fast. I did get a chance to taste the meat and it was good! No dessert for us. too full! All in all a good restaurant. Would definitely dine here again!
