The diner lives! It is now Frank’s Suffolk Diner in Revere. We loved the Broadway Diner and it’s staff, so when we heard they had now reopened in Frank’s we headed right over. Food is as good as ever and so are the staff!!! It’s worth the trek!!!

I miss you guys. You had the best breakfast in town, especially the eggs bene. I loved your home fries. And you had the best customer service. Now my only option is the arlington diner, and, once they acknowledge your existence, the food is mediocre at best.

This is a very comfortable place to eat. As suitable for moms and kids as it is for your dominatrix from the night before(if you’re still paying her and she demands breakfast the morning after). It doesn’t feel exactly like a traditional diner, but enough like one anyhow. It’s roomy, and you rarely have to wait too long for a table. I like their dinner/lunch better than breakfast here. Plus — they have some lovely Greek options here — not necessarily found at other diners. My mom used to schedule our dinners around their occasional lemon soup — which is delicious. Try the sandwhiches and dinner plates. Open faced meatloaf and the like is the way to go here — comfort food at a comfortable joint at comfortable prices.

Holly Ghost Batman the food hear is Cheeeeeep! I went out tho lunch here with a friend and we both walked out stuffed for $ 12. The place itself is kind of a dive but their ain’t nothin wrong with that because the food is delicious. They basically have all the same stuff every diner you’ve ever gone to has but I would highly suggest getting something that comes with chips because they make them their and they are great!

Absolutely love this diner. The food is excellent and offers a number of variations on standard diner classics, such as sweet potato pancakes(in addition to the normal variety). There is an entire section of the menu devoted to Eggs Benedict, including a number of vegetarian variations. The huevos rancheros are delicious too. My only real complaint is that the coffee is just so-so(about average for restaurants around here, I’d say).

I tried this place a couple of times over the past few weeks in search of a good breakfast place that was nearby to me. Unfortunately, this isn’t the place. The atmosphere is completely forgettable, white walls, white ceilings, fluorescent lights, looks like a former KFC with all the décor removed. The waitstaff is friendly and seated us promptly on both occasions, but from there it’s downhill. Multiple errors taking the order(items forgotten or incorrect). The food came out fast, but very salty and greasy — not really unusual for a diner, but the key to overlooking mediocre diner food is having decent fast service and this is where they fail big time. Once you have your food, you are completely forgotten. No follow up service at all, not even to deliver the check. With only three people in the restaurant, It took fifteen minutes to pay the check — and that only happened by walking up to the counter and interrupting the staff having a chat. There’s just not enough here to recommend it.

Nice little joint to grab some breakfast. The menu is a tad limited, but it hits the spot. What really sold me was the owner. My four year old was having a meltdown and he took a personal intrest in cheering him up. He had him do a crayon drawing and put it up on the wall. My son was beaming.

I’m sorry but reading some of these reviews got me angry so I feel it’s my duty to respond. Is the broadway diner a hyper-gourmet, hipster hangout? No. Is it really good, reliable food, made with fresh ingredients and served by the nicest woman you’ll ever meet(literally). The answer is yes. If you want to go stand in line at the Ball Sq diner or Sound Bytes and then eat with people standing over you, be my guest. If you want a seriously good breakfast in a cozy place, and for very little money, you can’t do better than the Broadway diner. I moved to Arlington two years ago and I’m just around the corner. I go there at least once a week. Try the eggs bene with avocado and say hi to Carolina for me!

Policeman’s Breakfast. Chocolate chip banana pancakes. Thick bacon. Eggs over-easy. Amazing. I don’t care much for the potatoes with onions on their own(do they call them home fries?) but I can mix it with egg later and get some pretty good breakfast tacos. I don’t live near there anymore, but it’s sort of close to work so I make my way over for lunch now when I can and have breakfast for lunch. Just be aware of their hours — I still don’t know what they are.

The portions are HUGE. To the point that it’s borderline disgusting. Alright food-Ive had better in the area for breakfast places but if you can’t find anything else it’s a good place to settle for.

If you are looking for a solid breakfast that will allow you to get on with your day and not even think about food until mid-afternoon, this is your place. If you are looking for brunch, not so much. My eggs over easy are always properly done, the rye toast I dunk in them is crisp perfection. The coffee isn’t bad, the pancakes are better with something(anything) in them, the bacon is erratic. And if you’re a home fries person, you may be disappointed by the soft, under-salted, slightly sweet and slimy pile of potatoes. If you like potatoes lyonnaise you’ll be better satisfied. Or ask for fruit. As for the atmosphere, last time I was in here two little old ladies were candidly discussing the Joe Paterno case over hot tea and lemon. No one rushed them. Couples of all stripes often share a plate of food. No one minds. Gracious, plenty of character, but nothing fancy.

Went there on a Sunday morning for breakfast with two other people. We sat at the counter which looks into the kitchen. The staff are very polite but it all ends there. It was total chaos. Our waitress asked us if we wanted water 5 times. At one point only 2 of us had water. She mixed up my friend’s drink TWICE. Astonishingly, they were out of cups at one point. That’s just unacceptable. What they consider to be large cups are about 120z. Not too large. I ordered a Benedict meal with a side of bacon. The side of bacon came out before the meal, and my two friends had their meals for five minutes before I got my meal. Their timing was deplorable. During our visit, we had a front row view of how the operation was being run. There was no sense of urgency, and at one point a customer yelled into my ear, but at the staff, that he didn’t think the service would be this slow and he was going to leave so they could cancel his order. The funny thing is that I don’t think they heard him at all. They were too busy socializing. The kitchen staff were great. They were hauling like crazy. I felt bad for them because the front staff were messing them up constantly. The place was also not very clean. The food was awful. Too salty. The ketchup bottle at our station was empty and I left it toward their side and told them, and they ignored me. It was a bad experience and I will never go back there.

Do yourself a favor and drive down the street to Somerville for Ball Sq. Café. It is worth the trip. Prices are very similar, food isn’t even close. I have to say I liked their home fries though(good seasoning). Eggs benedict were a miss(burnt english muffin, made from a mix hollandaise), and french toast was poor quality bread and batter w/preserve filling. Atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired as well.

What? I *haven’t* reviewed the Broadway Diner yet?!? How embarrassing… I’ve been there so often! Breakfast here is what you hope other places even come close to. The portions are huge, and the ingredients are always fresh. Your coffee cup is never left wanting. Sure, it can get packed on weekend mornings, but the wait is always worth it. And the home fries… gosh, they are just incredible. The furniture is sparse and diner-y, but the photography is surprisingly intriguing. I’ve always been too hungry to check out the artist’s name before, and too food-coma-y to check it out after, so I don’t know if its a local artist, the owners, or just a random fascination with old Las Vegas. In any case, its enjoyable art you wouldn’t expect in a diner. Speaking of the owners, the family that runs this place is hilarious. They banter through the whole morning but are super sweet and accommodating. It’s always fun to eat at a place you can see people enjoying themselves. Come here ready to eat and you will leave happy.

My girlfriend and I decided to go to the Arlington diner the day of that last tropical storm that came through but it was closed so we decided to give the Broadway Diner a try. That was a mistake! The restaurant itself seems run down and cheaply decorated. My feet were sticking to the floor, yuck! Breakfast wasn’t much better. My egg sandwich tasted like sawdust and my OJ was served in a plastic cup with a chip in the rim. Not a pleasant experience. I won’t be going there again!

Nice, simple neighborhood diner. Breakfast is fresh and hot ranging from many different omelette & Benedict dishes to French toast. Portions are big and come with generous helping of home fries and toast. Service can get overwhelmed as they often seem to be short staffed. Recommended for breakfast… never been here for anything else.

Decided to try a new place for Sunday Brunch and came across the Broadway Diner using Urbanspoon. What a find! Ample parking, friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? We were promptly seated upon our arrival and water and ice coffee were swiftly brought to our table with a smile. Our waitress was accurate in placing our order and our entrees arrived without any complaints. The check was provided at our request, and we were quickly out the door and onto our next adventure. Other reviews are correct in stating a limited variety on the menu but what is offered allows for a long list of different possible combinations for your main meal. If you can’t find something you will appreciate on this menu, I doubt you could ever find anything to appreciate, culinary or otherwise!

It’s a diner food, and I like diner food. It’s hard to make it really good or bad, but Broadway Diner(after eating at Bagles by Us, Victor’s, Arlington, Rose bud, Deluxe town, etc.) is actually better than the most of them. Broadway is better than Bagles by US on Mass Ave, or Arlington Diner, both pretty close. Rose bud and Deluxe town are about the same, maybe Deluxe town is a little better in some of pancakes. Rose bud has more variety. For food I eat and care, Broadway diner is a decent choice.

Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes. check Strawberry Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast. check Scrambled Eggs with Cheese. check Bacon. check Double Bacon. check My only problem with this place is that I want to order about 12 different things when I get here, cause it’s all so damn tasty. Fast seating, fast service, sweet staff. check. I love this place, and I’m so happy that it’s 3 minutes from my house. 10 minutes if I want to walk and order even more bacon ;)
