Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced they completely skipped me in line and failed to notice or care that I was waiting to make my order. I just walked out. Never going here again

The company I work for moved into the building across the street, making this the most convenient bagel shop by a long shot. I used to go to this location a couple times a week, but now it’s more like a couple times a month. The only reason I go here at all anymore is because it’s right across the street and some mornings I’m pressed for time and really craving a bagel with the olive pimento cream cheese that is hard to find anywhere else. My order is so incredibly simple. Bagel with cream cheese. My expectations are that I will receive a bagel with enough cream cheese to cover both sides of my bagel. Very rarely do I get a bagel with enough cream cheese to cover a single side of my bagel. I have complained on numerous occasions. I have been confronted with multiple different excuses but the results are still the same. Thinking that my expectations on the amount of cream cheese I should receive are a little too high, I began ordering extra cream cheese thinking this would get me the results I expect and receive from other bagel shops (i.e. dunkin donuts, manhattan bagel, or the countless deli shops that serve bagels all in the ballston area as well). Nope. It doesn’t matter if I order extra cream cheese or regular amount they apparently only know how to give you a pathetic amount of cream cheese. There is NO consistency at this location. Sometimes they will make me a new bagel, others time they give me a small tub of cream cheese to put on myself. I’m now paying over $ 4 to get a bagel that is far below my expectations, to have to spread cold cream cheese on a warm bagel with warm cream cheese already on it. Have you ever tried spreading cold cream cheese on a warm bagel with warm cream cheese on it? It’s impossible. So, this convenient bagel shop is not so convenient for me anymore. I should note that on the occasion that my husband comes with me to get breakfast his breakfast sandwich (the kind with meat, egg and cheese) is always great. BUT, if you’re looking for a good bagel with cream cheese I would walk down the street to one of the many other shops in the area that serves bagels with cream cheese just like I will be doing from now on.

This is a great for breakfast if you are on the go. The egg and bacon being pre-​prepared is not ideal, but it’s no difference than the quality of a McDonald’s or any other «fast food» breakfast restaurant. They do however carry a decent variety of bagels, all of which are each visit.
I am a big fan of the chipotle bagel sandwich, and will continue to frequent this shop as the staff is friendly and the outdoor seating is nice on a summer day.

This place is up the street from where I work… i usually go here by default when in a hurry. bagels are good… but they dont have much variety of sandwiches. .and even the ones they have are not the greatest… As the years have gone by some staff are nicer than others… if you ask for a bakers dozen they will charge you an arm and leg additional per bagel to cut and toast them… ive asked other places and they usually just do this for me… i go here once in a while for breakfast and lunch. but for big orders for my staff I will go to Panera or someplace that will cut and toast my bagels especially when i make large orders…

Pretty good bagels when they are available. Try getting an everything bagel after noon for example. Unlike other bagel places that have a grill and will fry you eggs to order, here they are prepared ahead of time and kept in a steam container.

The staff was arguing with each other while I was ordering and waiting for my bagel, which both delayed me getting served and was really awkward. The bagels are mediocre at best. I asked for mine toasted, but they have the conveyer belt toaster set so fast that it wasn’t toasted or even warm when I got it. I wouldn’t go back.

Good bagels are to be had here, but very poor and slow service. Also the quality of their other products (coffee, cream cheese, bacon) are very low and taste almost like their real versions. I’d think in this day and age these food joints realize that the public is educated enough to know piss poor quality. They need to lower prices if they continue to sell such an awful product.

This place nickel and dimes you for everything. Just make the bagels $ 0.50 more instead of charging for having you bagel sliced.

Well run shop. Turns out bagels quickly during the morning rush hour. Always get service with a smile from Carl.

It’s a regular bruggers. They aren’t too imaginative with anything but it serves its purpose well — bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Service is a little slow and the line is long at noon on Sunday’s. They also have some salads, teas and coffees. Enough seating, so that’s nice too.
I saw burgers on the menu as well — questionable as they don’t have a real cookbook in the place

My boyfriend and I went there this morning for breakfast and had the best time ever. Chris and Ash served us our bagels and made them exactly to our liking and made really good recommendations on what combinations to make. They were kind and funny and gave us our food promptly. We got the siracha and the western breakfast sandwiches which were delicious. Highly recommend this place!

Terrible bagels and terrible service. I came in to order a few bagel sandwiches for my friends who came to visit and I waited over 45 minutes in line. When I got to the front and gave my order, the girl took one sandwich order at a time and completely made the sandwich before asking what else I wanted– no wonder the line was taking so long! No multitasking AT ALL. She then proceeded to scold me and say that if I wanted to place a large order I needed to call ahead (2 bagels with cream cheese, 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches). All of the other employees were just messing around and talking to each other instead of helping or taking orders. After all that, the bagels and sandwiches were just NOT good. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

The staff are incredibly rude — I wanted to video their interactions with each other and with customers. I’m so baffled that the service could be so terrible! They curse at each other and tell each other to «get out of the way» and «shut your damn mouth.» They definitely did not seem like they were joking. On top of that, they would turn around and stare at us (the customers). The employee taking my order literally said, «Hey you, what you getting?»

Stopped by for a BLT during lunch, was so disappointed. The girl was unfriendly and didnt seem to care what I wanted. I asked what bread was available, she pointed to the bagels. Asked again (nicely) and she gave me the list. I ordered BLT on wheat. I asked/​confirmed if it would be toasted, she asked if I wanted it toasted. Got my sandwich with the heal of the loaf & no mayo, never asked :(Had to go back to the girl to ask for mayo as there were no mayo packets. The bacon was soggy. Will not go back, the amount I pay for the sandwich to get an attitude and heal is not worth my time.

The first time I went here I was extremely pleased. My skinny egg bagel sandwich was SO good. I love that they can make any bagel skinny! Staff was super friendly and quick! The line on a Saturday morning was almost to the door — but my wait was very reasonable. The second time the sandwich maker was less than friendly — but not rude. Yes, this place is a chain— but it’s a solid breakfast option in Arlington with delicious bagels!

Great place, good prices. Good for breakfast and lunch!

I’m not shocked regarding Bruegger’s 3-​star average review. I’ve been here several times with my roommate and it has always been mediocre… until I found my one go-​to sandwich. Their Skinny Zesty Egg White Sandwich on an everything bagel is a pleasant surprise and extremely tasty! The sandwich ingredients consist of egg white, turkey sausage, swiss cheese & sun-​dried tomato spread. The sun-​dried tomato spread was actually my favorite part about this sandwich. Give it a try and you might be surprised too!

Arlington has added another yummy unique spot. Breakfast Bagel, Panini’s and much more. This spot has made all other Bagel places boring. You will find a very unique menu here, it’s different.
Parking is the only bummer but it’s definitely worth the scavenger hunt for parking.
I’ll make this spot a more frequent spot from now on.

The sausage patty and the eggs for my bagel came out of a drawer. In fact, the lady that worked there looked me right in the eyes as she opened the drawer, grabbed that sausage patty, slapped it on my stale ass bagel, reached back into the drawer, grabbed my eggs, and slapped it on the sausage. It’s like she was saying, «I just pulled the meat and eggs for your sandwich out of a drawer and you just paid me to do that.»

Thought I would finally write a review and shout-​out to my daily coffee (and sometimes bagel) spot.
I have the bottomless coffee card so I am in here every morning. I debated ordering a new card for 2014 because the price did go up, and $ 170 is a lot to spend at one time just for coffee. However, it really is the customer service that pushed me to go ahead and buy it. They actually remember me, what size and flavor coffee I order, and in the off chance I also buy a bagel, they remember that too! It really is a great way to start my day, with friendly smiling faces and piping hot coffee.
Are the bagels huge, NY style? No, but they are chewy and tasty and pumpernickel is always in stock (my fav). Try the jalapeño cream cheese. Best I’ve ever had.
Brueggers, you have me for at least another year! Keep up the good work.
