Me & hubby loved coming here for the first few times, price is great & they give you alot of food! BUUUUTTT, the last few times we went my orange(more like red lol) chicken was hard & very gummy, couldn’t even eat it. I thought maybe since we came in later in the day(early evening) that they were giving me the old chicken they had left over. I gave them another chance & the same thing happened, hard or gummy chicken, no big juicy chunks like they always used to give me no matter what time of day I would come in. So sad but we never went back & I always had to throw my food away :(Also the noodles are so greasy even though they are delicious!

Great hole in the wall. Huge portions, wow what s great value! Take out or delivery only! No tables or chairs to dine, there are a couple of chairs for waiting for your order. Tofu dishes are tasty. They stay quite busy even with six chefs; call ahead to place the order. Hard to find sign, it’s in red near the corner. Right off the exit, so it is easy to access!

Used to love this place, but know the food comes cold and delivery guys are rude if you don’t tip them what they want. Was told my next meal would be half price because the driver yelled at me when I asked him to hold on while I got my wallet to tip him cash and he flat out lost it on my porch.

Delivery to your doorstep! We order the chicken or shrimp fried rice, chicken lo main, orange chicken, chicken on a stick, and the egg rolls are good. Great prices and servings are big enough to feed my family of 5(3 boys with huge appetites and my daughter and I.

This place was disgusting. Husband got shrimp fried rice… the shrimp looked like rubber. I got chicken fried rice and honestly that ish didn’t even look like meat. It was gray, almost black and old. I promptly threw it in the trash. Not only that but apparently their delivery sucks. we were there for 15 minutes and two people came in complaining about wrong delivery orders, making it known that it wasn’t the first time it happened. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

They have really good food. You have to look past the fact that it doesnt look like other chinese food places. They are very accommodating to changes and you cant beat the prices. They also give you a free eggroll with every order. Everyone loves free stuff.

I was scared after reading some reviews but this place was near where I was heading. I’m actually glad I tried it. I ordered the lo mein. It was a very big portion for 7 bucks. The noodles were very flavorful. But I guess it’s hard to mess up something as simple as Lo mein. Can’t give much input on other items but I would get the lo mein again.

They delivery quickly and the food is always well packaged. There isn’t much room for parking or waiting, if you decide to pick up your food, instead of having it delivered. I love the house fried rice. I order a different meat almost every time, and they all have been very good. The portions are large, which always leaves me with plenty of leftovers for a good price.

Sorry, folks, but the food is just NOT good. We tried the place literally 10 years ago, and hadn’t been back since. I thought since it had stayed in business, it MUST be better. Wrong. The sesame chicken was mushy, the lo mein was very skimpy on meat, and the fried rice tasted like steamed rice with food coloring. I’d give this one a pass!

I tried China One for the first time this week. The beef with broccoli was very good. The meat is tender, the broccoli crisp and the rich brown sauce is just enough and not overly-seasoned. The hot and sour soup was also very good. The broth base is flavorful, not too spicy hot. My only suggestion would be the addition of some tofu, slivers of pork, and possibly mushrooms. The lo mein is meh. Perhaps it was an off day for that, but the lo mein was just a wad of over-cooked noodles with a bit of a brown sauce, without the perhaps saving grace of a few veggies. I will order here again to try out new items in future.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken — they forgot the sauce — the chicken breading was gummy and tasteless, Egg foo Young(seemed like it was made with egg whites or thinned plaster mixed with skimmed milk) — Beef and Broccoli… no comment… hot and sour soup… was actually edible. Not planning on going back… or recommending this to anyone. Subway is next door… try their sweet onion chicken teriyaki sandwich for a better Asian food experience.

My usual Chinese delivery location is closed on Sundays and I really did not want to cook and was not in the mood for the quick burger or fried chicken. So we opted to give China One a chance. Big mistake. We would have been happier eating sandwiches for dinner. Spring rolls(or were they egg rolls?) tasted like the frozen egg rolls you buy in the grocery store, down to the spice flavoring in the stuffing and the gummy texture on the inside of the wrap. Egg foo young was pretty flavorless. The sauce on the Beef and Broccoli was thick and oily. And worse of all, they completely forgot the sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken! As I unpacked our bag and found the sauce missing I immediately called to let them know. Even though the website says they closed at ten(it was only 9:15) they claimed the kitchen was closed now and they would not bring my sauce. They offered a partial credit for it(cause they wouldn’t be getting the chicken back). No apologies, no attempt to fix it. Have you ever tried to eat sweet and sour chicken(that was dry from over frying anyway) without the sauce? Sorry, even if the food had been better, customer service is a total FAIL!

I saw people’s review and found this place. It’s real Chinese, and the food is cheap and delicious. Highly recommend.

Usually when I want fast food I’ll stop by Chipotle or Sonic or sometimes McDs, but one particular night I wanted to eat something different and I had a HUGE craving for some good olé Chinese food. I ordered spicy combination fried rice, potstickers, chicken satay, and two egg rolls. The order took about an hour to arrive. The eggrolls were yummy and despite the fact that the rice had frozen peas and carrots in it and was lighter than the savory golden brown rice I am used to eating at Chinese holes-in-the-wall, it wasn’t bad and was at least edible. The potstickers had a really bad aftertaste. We couldn’t even finish them. The chicken satay — dark and red and gummy-tasting. Nope. I was disappointed because it’s hard to find good Chinese fast-food here that’s not a chain restaurant.

Delivery time was estimated at 50 min-1hr, knock on the door at 48 minutes. Awesome. Now the food — egg rolls were from Sam’s Club. Pot stickers were the fattiest, lardiest dumplings I’ve ever eaten. Wife and I ate a combined total of one out of an order of six. General Tso’s chicken was bright red and had a sweet flavor. It tasted okay, but it wasn’t General Tso’s chicken. The food wasn’t bad enough to throw away, but not good enough to order from again. Too bad! The search for a Chinese place in S. Arlington that has decent delivery, even if you order after 7:30 continues. Overall — two stars.

Whuh? I just saw Terry’s review, and I think there is some confusion — this is a teeny tiny little storefront with a counter and a couple of chairs for waiting, but not even dine-in service. In fact, it’s pretty effin’ ghetto — but I’m glad I tried it after my first call-in. I was a little askeert at first. Anyway, disclaimer: I’ve never eaten actual food here, but at least 3 – 4 times a month I stop on the way home from work and get a large house special soup and large hot & sour soup. The house special is light and awesome: burning-hot-lava-hot broth poured over lots of veggies: pea pods, water chestnuts, celery, baby corn, cabbage, broccoli, green onion, white onion, mushrooms, carrots, bamboo shoots, zucchini… and bits of meat: thinly sliced pork and chicken and a few baby shrimp. The broth has plenty of flavor without being too salty or greasy, and(somewhat like phở) the heat of the broth is the only cooking the veggies receive so they are still mostly crisp and quite fresh tasting. But the hot & sour soup… mmm! I’m really picky about hot & sour and I’ve had some really assy versions in my day, but this stuff rocks my face off. It’s exactly the right texture, exactly the right spice level, with the exact right balance of hot & sour. It ain’t gourmet, but it’s dark and rich and slightly thick greatness, especially with a tiny bit of soy sauce and cubic yards of crispy won ton noodles. They can’t be a drop less than 32 oz(the large) each, and both together, including tax, are like $ 6.50ish. Two or three meals, easy. Like I said, I have no idea if their other food is any damn good, but I don’t really care. Now get off my computer so I can eat my soup! :)

This was my boyfriend’s go-to place for Chinese take-out. He loved it. Of course, he only ever got the Sesame Chicken. I found the Sesame Chicken sub-par and the sauce is tinted a strange hue of red… I’m used to brown sauce on Sesame Chicken, so it’s a bit unnerving. Hot and Sour soup also wasn’t quite up to my expectations, though it is far better than the worst I’ve had. The Crab Rangoon are… Crab Rangoon. Tastes just like everyone else’s. I once asked for a vegetarian Lo Mein with tofu, and they staunchly refused since it was a non-menu item. So while they do have some vegetarian meals on the menu, I wouldn’t exactly call them«vegetarian-friendly» to say the least. I’m just glad I’ve moved far far away from this place now. Bleh!

Being a buffet, food here is not bad, but it isn’t great, either. If you catch it fresh, it’s good; if you catch it not, it isn’t. Do be mindful that due to the prominence of salt(which can be tasty when fresh), water is a must; and be also mindful that what passes for soup here passes as water elsewhere– a pun, though no less true.
