Condom Sense

I visited this store for the first time a few weeks ago. I have never ever experienced anything like this in any kind of store in or out of Texas. There were two employees in the store that ignored me and I was in there for quite awhile without being asked if I needed help. I purchase some things for gifts that were sealed in packages. I had one expensive item that I asked the clerk about the return policy. I specifically asked can I return unused with a receipt. By his response I understood I could return it within 30 days unused w my receipt.
About 10 days later I came back to return two items unopened w my receipt. The salesperson wouldn’t let me finish a sentence. She said I was lying and when I tried to explain what I’d been told she said I could talk to the manager tomorrow but he wasn’t going to help me either. I was patient with her and tried to tell her the merchandise had not been opened but she wouldn’t look at it. I was thinking, «ok, she is young. She probably had a bad day,» etc. She asked for my receipt which I gave her and then she wrote on it that she had already talked to me and not to help me. Up until this point I had been polite. I had not raised my voice and do not feel I was rude to her in any way. Then she gave me the receipt and told me to leave or she would call the police on me. I was shocked and said, «for what? For being an unhappy customer?» She said I was trespassing! She started swinging her arm and pointing toward the door yelling get out. I was sooo embarrassed. I started crying and told her she was just being a b*/#& and ran to my car.
I went to another store hoping to speak to a manager. The salesperson there was the same one who sold the merchandise to me. He immediately started arguing with me about getting a refund, what was said, said I know she threw you out over there. Again I didn’t even get to say a word! I begged the guy to just hear me out and told him she had no reason to do that. I told him what happened. After that he did end up talking to me abit it and we ended up agreeing we had a misunderstanding. I guess the day I purchased the stuff he didn’t understand i was asking about return policy and he answered with warranty info. He looked at yhe merchandise and said he could return one of them and give me a gift card. He told me to call the manager the next day. He said the girl had done that to other customers and he was sorry.
However, when I tried to talk to talk to the manager on the phone about the way she treated me he didn’t want to hear anything I had to say. He said she was right in calling the police because I called her a bitch which isn’t possible because I said it after the fact. I literally could not even finish a sentence with him and then when I asked him to please listen he said «well why do you keep stopping?» He was sooooo incredibly rude and disrespectful.
Needless to say I would NOT buy from this place unless you like being disrespected, threatened, and misled.
