Minus ten Stars! This guys name is David Soto, has a fake business address and a made up website. I got involved with him while he was hanging out at Home Depot. My home was in a bad electrical fire last June in North Arlington. The worst mistake of my life… took complete advantage of the situation. Gave me what I thought was a very good estimate and ask for over 50% with materials and labor! Ha! Like I said the worst nightmare of my life. I was being pressured by my Insurance Co to build and the HOA would not talk. I was confused and vulnerable. David Soto will only take cash or checks then charges 35. dollars for a processing. Found out later his Lc. had expired five months before. He is a Crook and a liar, took all my insurance money and then some. He put up sheet rock on the ceiling and I did not have a roof, that was the HOA responsibilty. He painted over mold, told me I either needed a new air conditioner or to repair it! My A/​C was in the attic… I found out later he did nothing to it. There was no electrician he did it himself. it was all wrong. Very scary after an electical fire. He ask for more money after five days, and followed me back to the hotel because I did not have my checks with me… very scary! Bullies, lies, cheats, rude and sarcastic. I ask him for reciepts and an itemize list several times and he would grin and make up more lies. He will get as much oney from you as he can and as fast as he can. When I would not give him any more money he canceled the granite I paid for and threathened me saying he was going to put a lien on my property. There is so much more but I’m sure you have heard enough. After three weeks I had to hire someone else and start all over. This is when I found out what a horrible disgusting person is. If you happen to run into him remember this review!
Davey Do is not a contractor he is a Con-​artist! He breaks the law everyday, this is what he does for a living.
I made a complaint to the BBB and he came back with some very disgusting lies about the whole fire and about myself.
There is no business address!

Tried to get a quote from this guy for a backsplash and he was pretty sarcastic when I told him his bid was more than twice what everyone else was bidding. I wouldn’t work with somebody who can get off on the wrong foot in under 5 minutes.
