Love coming to DSW! Today the fire alarm went off and everyone had to leave the building. I was not feeling that because it is very hot outside and I saw a pair of shoes I liked. But was not able to grab them before the alarm went off. They are also doing some remodeling in the store that will take a few months to finish up.

DSW is a great shoe store with great brands at reasonable prices. I didn’t get the hype until I checked it out and then I got hooked. While I love DSW, this particular location just doesn’t do it for me. The selection of shoes, purses, and other accessories is somewhat lacking. There are other locations in DFW with a broader and more varied selection of merchandise. But if you need a quick gift, this location may have something that interests you.

Located outside the mall in its own building. DSW is always hit or miss for me. I’m in the lookout for something specific, specifically really comfortable nude and black flats that are soft sided and don’t require breaking in. I’m convinced they exist. I’ve found them before but my old favorite pair is wearing out. So the hunt continues. They do have lots of cute shoes here. I really liked the Me too line. They just didn’t fit my foot right. I have narrow feet and flats can slip easily if I’m not careful. Plus my feet are very blister prone. My friends however lucked out and got a few things. The staff was helpful too. Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards card if you are a frequent shopper.

DSW is shoe heaven! They have more shoes in a single store than any other place I’ve been. I can always find a pair of shoes I need (or don’t need!) here. They have everything from athletic shoes to flats, pumps, and sandals. I’ve picked up quite a few things from the clearance section they have in back as well. I love that they don’t have salesmen and you can select and try on shoes as you wish without having to ask someone to bring the right size out.
Love the rewards program too — the points really add up and I occasionally get coupons for a free purse or tote.
This location is attached to the Parks at Arlington mall so parking can be kind of crazy. I’m usually able to park in front of the store if I get there early enough in the mornings but the mall garage is always an option too. You also can’t get to the store from inside the mall so you have to walk outside to get into the store. A minor complaint but worth mentioning.
