This ride is truly amazing. It is a combination motion simulator and shoot-em-up where the premise is that members of the DC Comics Justice League have been captured by the Joker and Lex Luthor, and you are riding through Metropolis trying to rescue the JL members from the bad guys. If you’ve ridden Spider-Man or Transformers at Universal Orlando, you have a good idea of what this ride is like, albeit on a smaller scale. Although it is not as immersive as the Universal rides, it has the added element of the target shooting to compensate. Overall, while not quite up to the level of the Universal rides, it is definitely a major step up for Six Flags and a ride that would be impressive at any park. Plus, it’s good for the whole family which is not true of the giant roller coasters Six Flags usually concentrates on. All in all, an excellent addition to the park and worth a trip to Six Flags to ride — you’ll be impressed!

Holy interactivity, Batman! Kudos to Six Flags for adding a tremendously cool ride themed to everyone’s favorite DC comics characters. The premise is that 5/7ths of the Justice League have been captured by the villainous Joker and diabolical Lex Luthor who threaten to take control of Gotham Cit – er, Metropolis. You sit 3 across in 2 rows for a total of 6 passengers per ride vehicle, where everyone gets a different colored ‘blaster’(e.g. purple, green, red, blue). Designed and manufactured by Sally Dark Rides, JL: BFM combines the theme park technology of a motion simulator on a track with the arcade fun of a light-gun shooter(think Time Crisis or House of the Dead). You’re given the cheap-o 3D glasses before you board, which are needed to interact with the EIGHT digital 3D screens during the ride. Yep, that’s 8 times you and five other ‘recruits’ are shooting at bad guys on interactive screens – some as big as 30ft wide – in an effort to rack up the most points. The gun accuracy is surprisingly good, but then again the ride’s new, so I’m sure it’ll fade over time. There’s a nifty animated video that runs in the queue(featuring an especially deranged Joker… is that you, Mark Hamill??) and a most excellent animatronic of Cyborg, the least-known/cared-about member of the Justice League. ‘The Amazing Adventures of Spider Man’ [IOA, Orlando] is still the motion simulator ride by which all others are judged, but this is a pretty damn good effort on Six Flags’ part. ____________ i can haz mini rant? okay i haz rant now: So I created a page for JL: BFM a few days prior to riding it, but lo and behold some jerkface by the name of «Jack G» sneaks up and totally hijacks my first review. Not only that, but he has the gall to write a 1-star on how simply unbearable the wait is. Face the facts, Jack, amusement park rides usually involve you WAITINGINLINE. Also, brand-new rides, like this one here, will have even longer lines because it’s hot and it’s new and it draws way more guests. Technical difficulties notwithstanding(which CAN happen from time to time, there’s a lot of moving parts involved, deal with it), once you’re in line, you *don’t* leave for any reason. You sent your son to refill the water bottle [thus exiting the line] and were surprised that park security told him he couldn’t linejump to rejoin you? GOOD. That means they’re doing their job. Obviously you don’t read so well, because«…linejumping or rejoining the ride line for any reason is strictly prohibited and will be enforced.» Oh, and thanks for leaving such a nicely detailed description of the actual ride experience… not. Idiot. ‘this is stupid I have to wait in line for a ride, durrrr’. What did you expect, dude? 0% downtime on every ride in the park? C’mon. _____________ Raging aside, this is a spectacular ride that’s fun for all ages and is a great way to stay cool on a hot Texas day(indoor = air conditioning). I HIGHLY recommend that park guests give Justice League: Battle For Whatever a go-round, even if the wait times are upwards of 1 hour. And don’t despair Missourians, Six Flags St. Louis just installed a clone of this at your park! Happy shooting :)

The ride just opened a few days ago and it is already broke!!! The line just to get inside took us 90 minutes. This line outside is in the blazing sun. No shade till you get inside the building. I witnessed a lady faint in the heat. I sent my son to fill up our water bottle and was told by the«security» that he could not leave and return to our group because it would look like we cut. As we wait in this line, the high school workers smile and tell us that it will open«soon» and don’t leave yet. What a joke. I would be more irate if I was not a season ticket holder. Can you imagine waiting this long if you bought a $ 50 day pass!
