UPDATE: I loved the place and my son had a blast on his party. The reason why I’m updating this is because I was charged again for something it was already paid on the day of the party(almost 2 months ago). I’ve sent them an email with my bank statement showing that It was already paid and they seem not to understand it. It’s almost impossible to talk on the phone with them. It’s always on the voicemail and unless you keep trying you won’t be able to speak to anybody. They don’t return phone calls! If you have a party there, make sure you check your email and bank statement for any overcharges.

I just paid $ 187 for 4 classes in a dank smelly basement, with dirty toys. And for«teachers» to sit in the corner and periodically bring out new toys every 15 minutes. Awful.

I’ve been coming to their birthday parties over the years. They usually follow the same scenarios over and over, not much variation. I found the party leaders to be disorganized, high strung and not always a hit with the children. Please tell them not to snap at the kids who don’t want to play their games and would rather do something quietly by themselves.

Attended a birthday party here and it was SO unbelievably fun, exactly what I would expect a birthday party to be! For the most part kids got to run around, but every once in awhile(at what seemed like perfectly timed intervals, just as things were starting to lull) they would come out with a new activity that the kids absolutely went nuts over.(Most required kids to wait in line, so it may not have been as great for much larger parties or for more out-of-control kids; our group was very calm and well-behaved). They even closed the party perfectly; rather than just announcing that it was time to leave they made a little red carpet so the birthday boy/girl could hand out goody bags one by one. It really felt special. I wasn’t the host so I don’t know how that end went, but the kids had such a blast that I couldn’t recommended this place any higher if I tried.

We have held countless birthday parties over the years, committed to several classes, and participated in spontaneous free form play in Tumbles’ play zone, all with great success. I am clearly one for local businesses, as you can tell from other reviews I have written. I am mostly concerned with customer service, professionalism and product knowledge, as a succesful business owner and avid«shopper». J.W. Tumbles more than satisfies each demand. Their staff knows children, they are warm, encouraging, caring, participatory and consistent. The staff is young and energetic, yet professional at all times. There are many in the field who could learn from them! They are aware of whom they are serving, and it shows. Classes have always been fun and parties have always been well tended to. They will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you are paying for. Kudos to J.W. Tumbles for the many wonderful memories and heartfelt play experiences and parties over the years. You have been a positive, memorable and delightful part of my childrens youth as all classes should be. Well done!

My daughter is almost 3 and has been attending classes at Tumbles for 2+ years and really enjoys the classes and play time. Some teachers are better than others though. I only recently realized about the open(free) gym time that’s available to children that are enrolled in a class.

I really wanted to like this place. esp once the tysons gymboree shut down. but the classes were impersonal and the teachers were not interactive. however, i do love the soft play area/playzone…its very toddler friendly, though they could improve this by offering hours for those under 3 and over 3, since almost everytime i go my one year old gets knocked down by the older kids so i have to monitor very closely.
