My mother in law lived there a few years ago. She is handicapped, living on section 8 housing benefits. The doors wouldn’t lock. The place was roach infested. There were nails everywhere in the parking lot, ruining everyone’s tires as a part of their messed remodeling efforts. The inside of her apartment was messed up, and she did not get the renovation promised when she moved in two years prior. She was unsafe, living in moldy, roach infested housing. ITIS A SLUM. She complained. The apartment complex lost it’s section 8 status due to unsafe/bad living conditions. She broke her lease and moved into some safe apartments, after they refused to accept anything she requested to remedy the situation. Years later, they posted collections on her for breaking her lease, even though conditions were unsafe. She had no choice but to pay unfair collections dept, which were nothing to do with premise damages, but claims that the cost to re-lease the apartment were so HIGH. They will keep your deposit and then come after you for breaking your lease one month early, even though their place is a slum and so BAD they were rejected for not meeting section 8 requirements. DONOTLIVETHERE. Move to anywhere but there. I am going to be pursuing this a case of exploitation of the disabled and the elderly with the TX Attorney General’s office.
