One the best fast service deli or dine out restaurant. Autumn squash soup is so damn delicious. Special combo soup with club sandwich.

I came here during lunch hour and the lines were super long. Our wait was 30 minutes for two sandwiches. Despite that, the food was delicious.

I had lunch here yesterday … and was disappointed yet again. Although I enjoyed the cup of broccoli cheddar soup, the sandwich was no where near up to my expectations. I ordered the Horseradish Roast Beef … which I ASSUMED would contain horseradish. If it was in the sandwich, I could not tell. Not even a whiff of the distinctive aroma, and none of the bite. The sandwich, on grilled chibatta, was very greasy on the outside … like it had been covered in oil prior to being pressed — almost Cuban style. It was a very flat, hot sandwich, but the bread had not been toasted, just oiled and heated and pressed flat. The pressed aspect did not add to the overall presentation or taste. A very disappointing offering. I took a slice of their carrot cake home … and as always, that was excellent. Very moist with a nice slightly tangy cream cheese frosting.

Meh, I don’t get the hype for it. With around $ 8 for half a sandwich and a cup of soup, I could be getting something way better at other restaurants in the highlands. I usually love chicken and dumplings soup, but the one here is so thick and not soupy at all. The sandwich was okay, nothing stellar. Overall I would only go here again if my friends force me to. Wouldn’t go out of my way for their food.

I love the staff here! Everyone is very friendly and considerate! I’ve been to many mcallisters and none were as great as the one in Arlington! Food is always delicious and if I ever had a problem the would always be happy to fix it! Definitely a regular here!

This is the perfect place when you are looking for a quick lunch or dinner spot. It doesn’t feel(or taste!) like fast food but it is definitely a great option. The manager and staff at this location are very impressive. We were taken care of better than as if we were at a sit down restaurant. Very nice!

It was my first time here and I absolutely loved it! Their menu options are endless! I ordered the choose 2: pecanberry salad and tomato bisque, it was delicious– especially with their balsamic vinigarette. I will definitely be returning.

Found McAlister’s on Unilocal.GF not feeling well but finally able to eat again and wanted a baked potato. The online menu looked tempting. As reviewed elsewhere the Tea was great and the staff was friendly and outgoing. The potatoes themselves were well cooked and fluffy but the Bacon potato had a handfull of bacon crumbles and some nondescript cheese melted on top. Otherwise it was dry and boring. No butter that I saw or sour cream. The Max(or whatever) was similar, more topping but not«max» and it was also surprisingly dry. It was all«good,» just not what one expects from fancy baked potatoes. There was a nice selection of sandwiches. I wish I had tried that instead. Will come back and give them another chance with something else.

A decent lunch location with a variety of sandwiches, baked potatoes, and great sweet tea. Their sweet tea is refreshing and a favorite for a reason. I order mine half cut(half unsweet, half sweet) since it’s a nice balance between the two. A must have whenever I go here. Their sandwiches need more meat or stuffing to them because I’ve literally bitten into a stack of 3 slices of bread. I have a huge appetite so their half soup/half sandwich deal doesn’t quite fill me up. You’ll get the most out of your money if you go for their baked potatoes. Large and filling! The place is located in the Highlands so there are plenty of places to shop at before or after your meal.

After visiting this location consistently over the past few years, I have to give McAlister’s another star. I originally had an issue with service being very inconsistent. The management has been very responsive about this issue and have worked on improving the customer service. The last 4 – 5 times I visited McAlister’s, the employees have been nothing but friendly and helpful. I was impressed by how much they stepped up and now think of this location as a go-to place for a satisfying lunch. In addition to the service, I spent time trying different items on the menu in order to expand my thoughts on the menu. Portion sizes aren’t very big, but the spuds and salads definitely give the most bang for your buck. I haven’t had any issue with an item ordered from the menu, but when in doubt, always ask for certain ingredients on the side. That way, you can add the amount in that is right to you. A few things to note about menu items: — The peach sweet tea(or regular) here is excellent, especially with two lemons. I believe the huge drink is only about $ 2.70 with unlimited refills. I usually drink an entire container and grab a refill on the way out the door — The chipotle ranch for salads(a nice thick ranch with a small twisty kick). — All sandwiches come with a dill pickle spear — Each menu item has the ability to be customized to the way you want it. Online or phone-in ordering is also available at this location, which saves you about 30+ minutes during the lunch rush(do not recommend coming for lunch if you’re looking for something quick). The register on the far right is specified for to-go orders, which usually saves you a wicked amount of time. The website has been having some glitches during online ordering, but if it’s an option for you, I highly recommend ordering online than in store. You save time, and there are several more options and additions that you can do to your meal(that they don’t have time to tell you about at the register!)

Looking for a lunch spot in the Highlands that has a nice variety of food, plenty of seating, and quick service? How about somewhere for a low key dinner to catch up with a close friend? Well look no further than McAlister’s. While I typically visit for lunch with co-workers, I’ve also visited in the evening as well. The menu has some soups, sandwiches, and apparently nachos. I like that they bring your food to you and that is comes out fairly quickly. My favorite entrée is the southwest chicken sandwich with corn and guacamole. Yummylicious.

I’ve come here before it’s been good but today i ordered the muffaletta and the entire bottom bun was soggy like they soaked it in water then they made the sandwich. This sandwich usually comes warm but this time the cold cuts were cold … I should’ve gone to Jason’s Deli down the street

Make sure Everything is in the bag of your to go order. I have ordered to go out of this location a few times and they have always given me everything that was ordered. Yesterday went and didn’t check, so guess my fault I ordered the pot roast spud, I get home the gravy was not there, the meat was dry, the carrots were hard. My guess the gravy would at least not make the meat taste dry. Was my 1st time ordering this item and was excited to try and had a picture in my head that it was going to be the best thing ever! :(Fail! Not sure if the managment is new or the staff. Did order 2 other spuds and both of those had the sour cream missing. The food has always been good, but need to make sure to go orders are double checked, horrible feeling getting home, things missing and no use going back.

I loveeeee McAllister’s chicken tortilla soup!!! After reading other peoples reviews makes me want to try the other soups too. But oh my gosh, the chicken tortilla is so delicious I don’t know if I can go to mcallisters and not order it. Lmao. I usually get the hot sandwiches, the southwest turkey melt is really good! Today we tried something different and got the classic Italian, they put way too much mustard. It tasted spicy, and IMO not appetizing. But the pickle that come with the sandwich order is always gooood. I love their pickles! McAllisters baked potato is HUGE! And it’s so good! My first time trying it today. I got the SpudMax which is the potato with everything on it. Yummy and very filling :) They also give you butter & sour cream on the side. Teas at Mcallisters is always on the sweeter side, so sip from the top!

I’m eating here with family and everyone is semi pleased with their order. However, when I received my sandwich the veggie club, I couldn’t find any guacamole on it. When I took it back they pulled apart the sandwich with no gloves on and found 1 slice with what looked like barely a smuge on it. Handed me back the sandwich with it picked apart and said«see, here it is.» They lost 3 stars for that. Don’t know if we will come back to this location. Soup was good(veggie soup) but not impressed with the staff. Not friendly in the back. Front end was nice though. I’ll post a picture so you can see.

Love their sandwich selections! You can’t go wrong with any selection. My favorite is the Reuben. Really can’t go wrong there. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese are also good. A MUST at mcallisters are their sweet tea. Literally, that is all anyone ever gets. So good! Has the perfect ratio of tea to sugar. Beware, if you buy a gallon to go, they don’t last long at all. Ours lasted probably 3 day?

The food is always really good, us girl’s from work normally get the Choose 2 for like $ 6.99 either get a potato, soup or salad… we never get the sandwiches because they are kind of light on the meat, so it’s pointless your normally just eating a bunch of bread. That’s why it only got 4 out of 5 for me this time. BUT service is great, usually doesn’t take long at all for To-Go orders when you call ahead… And if you like Iced Tea, you HAVE to try it. I don’t like Unsweet or Sweet Tea, but the girls love it. and I’ve tried the Peach Tea. because I do like it flavored, and it was DELISH!

It’s unbelievable how different locations of the same chain restaurant can be so different in terms of service and quality of food, but they can! Before my family visited me, I raved about McAlister’s. At the time I’d only been to the Fort Worth location off Camp Bowie. I took them to the Arlington location so they could get ‘em some. Our food was just alright. That half soup half sandwich deal is a total rip-off wherever you go. Presentation, blah at best. My chicken and dumplings tasted canned and had no chicken and what appeared to be a big noodle, not a dumpling. I was really disappointed in that. An employee visited our table often to clean up and behaved strangely. I got the impression she was in a hurry for us to leave. I prefer the Camp Bowie, FW location. That one is the bombs!
