Came for breakfast with a group of friends. Service was fine and the food was okay. Nothing memorable about the food besides my tacos being super salty. Nice décor inside but needs updating. The chairs were wobbly. My friends liked their food so maybe I should’ve ordered something else.

This is my third time at this location and it is always delicious. The wait for Saturday lunch was shorter than expected. It took my friends and I awhile to decide what to eat because there were so many options on the breakfast and lunch menu. Ultimately I decided on the steak and eggs. The New York strip was somewhat hard to cut due to the amount of marbling but it was cooked very well over all(med rare). Eggs were your basic eggs nothing spectacular but the fries and the seasoned butter that melted on top of the steak were very flavorful. I’d definitely order it again. Service was good and fast our server was very attentive.

We went here for dinner. They had free bread while we waited for the food. The darker one was sweet and was really good. We ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken, bbq avacado burger, chicken and waffles, and the sautéed mushroom burger on sourdough bread. The food was disappointing. The Mac and cheese with chicken had no flavor… You could barely taste the cheese and the chicken was dry. The bbq sauce that they placed in the burger was too overwhelming. The chicken and waffles were underwhelming. The waffles tasted like cardboard(I have never eaten cardboard but I would imagine this is what it would taste like). I had to drench it in syrup to give it some flavor. The batter for the chicken was crispy but there was too much of it. The mushroom burger lacked flavor like the other food. It was hard to finish… I just really hate wasting food. Overall, the best thing I ate was the free bread in the beginning.

I ordered breakfast, I was happy with the food but the atmosphere was rather depressing. I like good food and atmosphere. I think if they can spice the place up a little I could give a better review. The pancakes were huge, I could have definitely shared the pancakes, the bacon was over cooked and the eggs were okay. Overall it was good; I’ll give it another try. It’s a step above IHOP!

It used to be my go to place. The last time was horrible. The drinks were bad service was ok. The menu has gotten small and not many choices. I’m looking for some place that’s better. Where I can enjoy myself. :( .

My husband and I visited Mimi’s on a Saturday morning to try a new breakfast place. He ordered a spiced muffin to begin and it was absolutely perfect! It was so flavorful and moist and actually pretty large! For our entrees he ordered something with a waffle and I ordered eggs/sausage/cinnamon roll French toast. The eggs were a little under done but we’re very fresh. The cinnamon roll French toast is something you MUST try once in your life. It’s a cinnamon roll cut in half, battered in French toast batter and cooked on the flat top. It has great depth and a warm flavor. So indulgent! Our waitress was so friendly and provided really exceptional service. I appreciated that a lot.

Alright first of all, their muffins are out of this world. And they add the muffins on to a lot of the menu items. So that, along with the fact that Mimi’s is still one of Arlington’s best breakfast places keeps me coming back for more. My beef with this place is that the quality of their food does not match their prices. My husband and I spent about $ 20-$ 25 and all we got was a salad and an appetizer. If the food had been spectacular I would have had no problem with paying that amount. But it wasn’t. It was just mediocre. The meatball appetizer we got tasted like something I could have picked up from the frozen section in the grocery store and the salad was super unbalanced in flavor. Our group had a good time though, and our waiter was courteous and professional. So my recommendation is to go here for breakfast and get the muffins!

I hate leaving a three star review simply because this place does not live up to what it could be. In short, Mimi’s is an option for breakfast or brunch, but I would not waste my time here for lunch or dinner. My wife and I ordered a salad here to SHARE and neither of us finished it because it did not taste good! With the salad we had a meatball appetizer to share and we were out $ 25 bucks. Went home and ate a frozen pizza to fill my hungry stomach for the night. The best thing they have going for them and probably the primary reason they are still in business is their muffins. Yum! They do this right. Also they increased their prices to accommodate for their lack of business… Not a good idea ;p. Now i can go to a outback for the same price and eat a good steak!

Tuesday, 9:00 a. m Mediocre food & mediocre service. The host looked like he hated life and the waitress was slightly attentive. The food took a little longer to come out than expected. The ham was too salty and way too dry. The cappuccino was tasteless. The salmon Benedict smelled like sweaty armpits. But I did like the poppyseed waffles. Giving this place 2 stars for effort. I wouldn’t recommend this place for brunch to anyone. For their prices, you can get a better brunch elsewhere in Arlington.

First time at Mimi’s as I continue my search for great breakfast places in S. Arlington. Mimi’s opens at 7:00 am which is a little late for me, but I have grown use to most places being the same. I was seated and given a menu by the hostess. I looked at the menu for any mention of gluten free options as that’s my curse. The menu looked great, but didn’t mention gluten free. When my waitress came by and I asked her and she offered to go get the gluten free menu. After a minute she came back with a single sheet of paper with 8 – 10 items listed as gluten free. This appeared to be the only copy of the menu they had. On the menu every were those items which in nature are naturally gluten free, i.e. eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, plain potato’s, avocados. Still, they were arranged as dishes, so that was nice. I ordered coffee and the California omelette, which on the menu had a more fancy French name. California Le Omelette maybe. ;) My plate was brought out after about 15 minutes minus the potatoes. The waitress caught the error as she was setting it in front of me and spun around back to the kitchen to fix this omission. Once I had the completed breakfast in front of me, I was impressed at least my its look. After digging in I remained happy with the star of the show(the omelette), however the potatoes might just as well have stayed back in the kitchen. The food was hot-ish, fresh and mostly very tasty(again, not counting the plain boiled potatoes). My waitress was friendly enough and fairly prompt with everything. I was surprised I was never offered water. Is this common? She brought the check out and thanked me for coming in. $ 14.56 was the damage. Not astronomical, not a bargain either. Overall my experience was o.k. Nothing to get excited or upset about and certainly nothing to stop my search for a great breakfast place. As always, your mileage may vary.

Wow, I should’ve read the reviews before I came here to have brunch. We had three different servers. weird. Because towards the end when the girl gave us our check she said«my name is blank and I’m your server». But she wasn’t the one who took our order or brought out our drinks. So that’s was quite confusing for me. The hostess seemed to have dementia or something because she skipped over us. Food was plain and nothing special. Prices are steep for the food. Bf got the chickens and waffle and it was not good at all. Sandwich tastes mediocre that I didn’t even wanna finish it. The only good thing is prob the complimentary bread they give you in the beginning. Wouldn’t be returning to this place for brunch and would not want to come back for dinner either.

Came in for lunch/brunch. Took ten minutes to get seated… got seated at a booth. Had coupon for buy one get one free entrée, told the waitress before ordering. Ordered a strawberry lemonade and a coffee and two orders of corn beef hash benedict. Waitress brought food out quite quickly. Eggs were a little undercooked to my liking but okay enough to eat. We finished up and they took off our coupon. I use my Mimi’s card every time we go and we had earned a five dollar reward so we got to use that as well. Total for two entrees and two drinks was 12.67 not including tip. We got a strawberry lemonade to go and were on our way. Good cheap breakfast and happy tummies.

One oft fav mimis locations, this location does a lot of test recipes for corporate — and the new options are always exciting and tasty. My fav remains the beef pottroast and succulent potatoes w a delightful side of sautéed spinach. Chris is still our favorite server and wonderful and LaVonne makes sure we get the gals favorite booth — can’t wait for next time! Always try the muffins — we had the blackberry today, incredible!

I really like this cute little café. I had always seen it in passing but never cared to actually dine here. Got invited to brunch and finally got the chance to try it! I ordered the strawberries and crème waffles with the orange marmalade cream cheese on the side. It was really good. My only complaint is it seems more like a fusion of an appetizer and an entrée. Or maybe because it was that good and I just wanted more. Either way I loved this dish especially with my sides(hickory smoked bacon, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit)! Maybe next time I will try the corned beef hash instead of the bacon because it sounded great but I wanted the bacon. I got to try some of their muffin and it was so warm and good. I believe it was the Buttermilk Spice muffin. I wanted the triple berry mimosa but I was told they were out of all the berry flavors. 0_o I ordered the mango mimosa instead and it was great. My only complaint is that it was served with the juice only in a champagne flute and a small bottle of the champagne, so you have to pour it yourself.

I’ve been here a few times for brunch and it was really enjoyable. The waiter was attentive and most importantly, the food was good. The food came quickly and everything was served fresh and hot. I had eggs Benedict with ham and a croissant which was delicious. I am also a huge fan of the croissant and muffins. Go with blueberry or carrot cake, you won’t be disappointed. I also love how they have a huge dining table that can seat 8 comfortably. It really felt like I was sitting at home having brunch with my family. They updated their mimosas options for the better– I tried the peach again and it tasted like real peaches this time around. They also give you a mini-champagne bottle so you can refill it.

Décor: 4⁄5 –New Orleans feel with wooden décor with seating for up to 8 Service: 4⁄5 –Overall she was attentive and came by frequently to check up on us. –The food came out quick –You are allowed to split checks Food: 4⁄5 –All butter croissant with bacon egg and cheese. This hit the spot and wasn’t too fatty or greasy. The mixed fruit that came with it though was a surprise. It was grapes and 3 thinly slices of orange.

Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast. That’s the best part of Mimi’s. The service is consistently good. Our server was very attentive and my omelet was hot an delicious as well at the complimentary pumpkin muffin. I love the atmosphere as well. You don’t feel rushed like you are at some of the more commercial breakfast spots, plus we were there at noonish so lunch was also an option. Check out any location I’ve never had a problem, bad food, or poor service and any DFW location.

My friend and I decided upon this place after prior plans fell through. The hostess was attentive and tried to place us at a roomy booth but the seats were dirty and the table still needed cleaning. We asked for a quieter place to avoid pointing out the obvious mess that wasn’t yet tended to. We waited about 5 – 10 minutes for our waitress to greet us and when she finally arrived she introduced herself in passing and said she’d be right back. We waited an additional 10 minutes to get the complimentary bread which she was holding in her hand as she was busy chatting with other guests. When we finally ordered she came back and told my friend they ran out of the half chicken… shouldn’t she have known that beforehand? She checked on us once during the meal and refilled our drinks once. Other than that, she was busy gossiping with another waitress the entire time. I ordered the grilled salmon and frites. Honestly, the fries were the best thing I ate there. The salmon was dry and bland as was the spinach. My friend decided to go with a bacon and egg burger and they couldn’t manage to get that right either. The lettuce was wilted and soggy and she ended up dissecting the burger for decent bits as it was difficult to manage.

Mimi’s is one of my go-to places for weekend brunch. The two egg breakfasts are great and they come with a muffin! Before they got rid of the e-club, you could go for breakfast with a friend and both eat for like $ 8 due to the buy one get one free deal. That’s a serious steal and probably why they discontinued it. I haven’t tried anything other than their breakfast, so maybe my opinion of Mimi’s is slightly skewed. What I do know is that their breakfast is nice and hot and I don’t mind dropping in Mimi’s for a brunch once every blue moon.

I use to enjoy Mimi’s breakfast a lot but wow, after today’s service I don’t even want to come here anymore. My server was this lady who acted very unprofessional and seemed judge mental. Not only did she forget something we ordered, she charged it on our bill and just gave us the check without a word. There were other problems but I don’t want to go into detail. It was too early in the morning for anyone to act like that, manager was nicer than her. Mediocre service here. Onto the Food though. I usually get an the omelet w/the potatoes. Mimi’s potatoes are the best!!! I love it. Tried something different today though, I got the egg Benedict(forgot the name, but the one with bacon & spinach) which was very good! I liked it :) The maple bacon waffles are super sweet… If you’re into it go ahead, but when we got it, it was a little too sweet for an breakfast item. But definitely try the muffins! They come out so warm, and good with the butter spread.
