Gross. I was told to try this place by people who do delivery. If they only saw inside the place they would not eat there. I ordered to go, and when I picked up my order, my first impression was a nasty, grimy checkout area with brown, dirty, grime all over the phone, fax machine, and counter. Who wants to look at that and wonder what the kitchen looks like, not to mention the unbussed tables as you walk in. These people obviously do not care about FIRSTIMPRESSIONS, nor do they know how to clean. It is no wonder they litter door to door with their take out menu. God forbid one should see this grimy hole.

Food was horrible. Fried rice was greasy, noodles had a Burnt flavor to them. Even the soda was flat. Not a good experience, we left the plates hardly touched and left. Avoid this location. Was also dirty inside with cafeteria style uncomfortable chairs, dirty booths.

There’s not much nuance to the food here — this is straight-up, cheap Chinese. Don’t look for interesting ingredients, creative dishes, or subtle flavor profiles — you will be disappointed. That said, they’ve got the standard Chinese dishes down. If you’re looking for classic greasy, MSG-drenched Chinese, and don’t mind rolling the dice on the service(see below), this spot will do the trick. They’re pretty stingy with the vegetables — you’ll get a pile of sauced-up tofu(or meat if you’re not veg) and a few pieces of steamed broccoli. Don’t come here for nutritional content. Additionally, after getting lunch here with a friend a few months ago, he wound up feeling woozy and unwell for a full day afterwards and credited his General Tzo’s chicken. However, while the food is reasonable, the service is consistently horrible. The servers are disinterested and unhelpful, although that may be partly due to a language barrier. My coworkers and I ordered delivery, and one order was flat wrong, and one was given the lunch portion when he ordered the dinner portion. I’ve had egg rolls omitted and drinks gotten wrong, and I’ve only eaten here three times. Pretty impressive record, really. The setting is pleasant but unexceptional, and I’ve never seen more than two or three other people in here at a time. So, while I was willing to give Royal Panda a few tries, I’ve been distinctly underwhelmed and probably won’t be back.

I ordered delivery from here for the first time. It was great for Chinese takeout. They said it was going to take 50 minutes, but it only took about 15 minutes to deliver. I ordered the chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and wonton soup.

Not great(or even good) but ok if you’re on a REALLY tight budget. I ordered the Empress-Style Chicken and it was barely fit for a pauper. The chicken was batter-coated and fried(not fried fresh, but the yuck frozen stuff with soggy crust that you get in the fake chinese freezer section of the grocery store). There was no indication on the menu that the chicken was fried(I wouldn’t have ordered if I had known) and it tasted OLD. I would ordinarily give a restaurant of such low quality a 1* rating, but the veggies were fresh and good — so an extra star for that. It’s too bad they didn’t use fresh chicken, as well. The waitresses response when confronted with my plate of uneaten chicken and comment that it was terrible: okay.

Extremely disappointed in Royal Panda for the last year or so. My Fiancé has been ordering from here for the last 15+ years. I moved in with him 8 years ago and Royal Panda quickly became a favorite of mine as well. Ever since the move into the new location the food has been awful and the portion sizes have gotten much smaller. The General Tso’s chicken is what we’ve always ordered and it doesn’t taste the same as it did for years. The spring rolls are smaller and have no taste, and the rice has been overcooked. The crab rangoons have been hard as rocks with very little filling and the pan fried dumplings now taste like cardboard. At first we thought that maybe it was just a bad night, but we ordered 3 more times only to have the same experience. This used to be the place we raved about to family and friends, but at this point it’s safe to say that we will not be returning.

My fiancé and I order from this place on a weekly basis. Kung Pao Chicken is our favorite. We always order delivery and that takes about 45 minutes to an hour. The food is always steaming hot though! You can also order to pickup, the food is ready pretty fast that way(if you don’t have an hour to wait.)

They delivered the wrong food to us. When I called them they asked me to pack up the other food and they would change it out for the right food. They told me that they were cleaning the kitchen, so it would be 45 minutes before they would be back with the food. Terrible food and the employees are not friendly. They acted like I was inconveniencing them and said that incorrect delivery orders happen sometimes. I was scared to eat the second round of food they delivered to me for fear that they did something to it. I will never order from here again!

Just stumbled upon this hidden gem. We came in and the décor is VERY lacking, HOWEVER, the food was excellent. My husband ordered a «Happy Family» which was shrimp, scallops, chicken, beef and bbq pork with fresh vegetables. Appetizer was an egg roll, and a delicious chicken wing(could have had a meal of these they were that good). I had the vegetable spring roll and vegetable chow mein. Yes, I’m a vegetarian. The vegetables were so fresh, a large variety and cooked to crisp perfection. It all ended with ice cold slices of watermelon. I suggest you find this little diamond in the rough. It may look a little rough, but the food sparkles!

Worst boba that I’ve ever had! It was old and hard as a rock. Also, there was a limited selection of tea flavors. Drinks are already prepared in advance and kept refrigerated. The boba was so bad that we just threw our drinks in the trash. They need to remove boba house from their sign, it’s false advertising. Based on their willingness to serve boba that old, I wouldn’t go back to try the food.

Overpriced mediocre food. I ordered duck, lomain pad Thai, broccoli beef and crab Rangoon. The pad Thai tasted like ketchup, absolutely horrible. The duck was the best item we got. All together it cost $ 50. I won’t be ordering from them again.

Ordered the food for pickup last night. Decided I would give this place a try. Ordered it and it was ready very fast. Arrived and saw on their sign that they have Boba Tea so I asked to order two of them. They said that they have never sold Boba tea lol. I was just caught off guard because the sign literally says boba. Anyways. The food was mediocre. I’ve had better Chinese food at a $ 8 Chinese buffet. The food was totally bland with no flavor The wonton soup tasted like flavored water with two tiny wontons. Price was much more that I was expecting. It cost me around $ 35 for two people. Wouldn’t recommend.

I would give it 5 stars but lately when they have a certain cook and some food has been bland. Don’t get me wrong this is the best delivery in Arlington for Chinese so that’s why I expect perfection. They need to go back to before and keep the food filled with flavor. Everything is always sooo fresh and the ingredients are all fresh, unlike most Chinese food places that use stuff from a can. Keep it consistent guys! Oh and this is also a great place to dine in’ I do it all the time.

We ordered delivery and yes, true to other reviews it showed up very, very late. In addition all three of us that ate got sick — not sure what it was as we shared the entrees between us. Full on food poisoning sick. We all wondered if it was from being in the delivery car for too long or if it started out bad from the get go. Just don’t do it.

Called for delivery. Very professional on the phone. Ordered egg drop soup, spring rolls, orange chicken and something called pad Thai lo mein. Delivery was promised in one hour; took about forty minutes. Delivery man was pleasant and professional. Egg drop was thick and rich but bland, requiring additional seasoning. Fried wonton noodles provided were overdone. Spring rolls were crisp on the outside but complete mush on the inside. Hot mustard packet provided was so old it had lost all kick. Fiancé described orange chicken as «nothing to write home about». I didn’t try it. Chicken pad Thai lo mein appeared to be made with udon noodles. They were over cooked. Clear«sauce«in bottom of tray was very greasy in consistency and the entire dish tasted strongly of imitation crab meat although the meat provided appeared to be chicken. I’d give two and a half stars, but haven’t figured out if that’s possible on Unilocal

I finally tried the Royal Panda restaurant they have been around a long time. I have been trying to find a good General Tso chicken. I went at lunch during the week. Not very busy few people inside. You seat yourself in the dining room that is very small and clean. They have a lunch menu from 11 to 4 every day for 6 dollars. And it comes with soup and eggroll. They have good selection of food all the usual favorites to choose from. My General Tso chicken was good but a little sweet for me but not bad. The portion is a good size for lunch not real big. I picked the wonton soup bad choice. It tasted like water and looked like water. The waitress just said it was clear. I said it was tasteless. She did not understand. So don’t get wonton soup taste like and looks like water. I will try the egg drop soup next time. The fried rice that came with the meal was good. The egg roll was just fair a little oily. The service was ok it is pretty much just drop and leave your food. She never came back. The food came out very fast and hot. I liked the food and the price was great. I will try them again one day.

Steer clear my friends. This place was AWFUL! I’m not one to complain about food or overly salt my food but Royal Panda was nasty and flavorless. I used 3 packets of the soy sauce they provided(since delivery) in my egg drop soup and they must have been expired or something. Tasteless. Since I ordered the«Complete Dinner» for an extra $ 3.50 it was to come with rice(which it did not), an egg roll(also flavorless), egg drop soup, and a CHICKENWING!!! That surprised me to say the least and was burnt to a crisp. I love food and I am not picky when it comes to food. But this is the worst experience I have ever had. Take my advice when I say, STEERCLEAR!

I wanted some«traditional» Chinese food for lunch today and decided to stop in at Royal Panda. The restaurant has been there for decades. It’s always been consistent each and every time we’ve dined at the restaurant. Today I had the Sweet & Sour Shrimp lunch special. It’s an unbeatable deal at $ 5.99 accompanied by an egg roll, soup and rise. Service was perfect for the time of the day. All of the food came out very hot. In fact, the won-ton soup was almost TOO hot to eat.
