Most people here are regulars which makes it lovely once you get to know everyone. Small bar that’s never packed but that’s the beauty of it. Truly a fun group of people who like to drink, play pool, and have a good time! I always have fun! Many laughs and memorable moments, Definitely worth getting to know everyone!

I went to Stage 1 Billiard with 5 of my BLACK family members and we were treated like dirt. The place was empty around 6 pm on Saturday. Every one was in the back of the room watching TV. I guest we interrupted her break… The 125 pound, blond haired lady about 30 years old who said she was the Asst. Manger, She refused to tell us the price of a game of pool when we asked, she said in a nasty voice I DON’T KNOW and waked away and didn’t look back. How rude we thought, I have wrote two complaint letters to the manger and both were return to sender. This is 2013 and Racism still live… If you are a black person or with a black person, its a good chance you will be treated as i was…

Stage 1 is great! I play APA League pool, and when I moved to the area, called my local APA Chapter and hopped on a team. As Stage 1 is our home location, I wanted to drop in and shoot a few games and meet a few of the local sharks. Brandon the bartender is FANTASTIC! The second time I went, he not only remembered my name, but also my frosty beverage of choice, Shiner Bock! Check this place out on Saturdays and Sundays, there are 8 and 9 ball tourneys, some closed to APA players only, but some open to anyone. Even if you just go by yourself like I did, there are plenty of friendly faces there that would LOVE to play a few matches.

I guess if you go by the exact star rating this place deserves 3 because the place is really a-ok but it get’s a small bump in the rating due to the staff. I’ve been there many times and the bar tenders are quick to offer you a new drink if you’re low and they’re all really friendly and it shows in the atmosphere. I distinctly remembering one time I was there and I asked if they sold food(which they don’t) but the bar tender told me he was going to grab some pizza and he’d grab some for me too if I wanted which was very very cool. As for the bar itself, nothing amazing but nothing bad. Has a good number of pool tables, the décor gives off the vibe of a dive bar but not in a bad way. It’s located in a strip mall next to a dollar general but if I find myself in the area again I wouldn’t think twice about stopping in, having a couple drinks, and shooting some pool.
