The place was a regular Starbucks, nothing was particularly special. The line was long when I was ordering, which made the experience less enjoyable since I was rushing to the security line. I ordered my regular — a grande cappuccino. It came a little late, so I had to rush drinking it hot(!) before having to toss half of it to the trash in my security check line. Just a tip, don’t order a coffee at this Starbucks twenty minutes before you are about to board a plane.

Ordered a cup of coffee, wasn’t aware till after I got my cup that they had a light and dark roast to choose from… they just faulted to the light roast for me. I actually would have prefered the dark roast if they would have bothered to ask me.

For years, I didn’t even know that there was a Starbucks at DCA, and I had resigned myself to coffee from Dunkin Donuts or Mayorga at the metro floor of each end of the terminal. The Starbucks area located in the upper level is small, but there is always ample seating, much more than the ends of the terminals where there are always people sitting and waiting to greet their arriving loved ones. Just a shout out to people like me who were unaware of the Starbucks, and have found themselves sipping on Dunkin longing for a Starbucks or adequate seating options.
