Pretty nice Walgreens here. Employees are helpful and nice. You can find good clearance at times too. Pretty easy in and out here.

Typically I love Walgreens, but I’m not a fan of this particular location. Maybe because it’s right across from the high school and I swear there are always teenagers loitering both outside and inside the store. It’s not like I hate teenagers, but on one visit I was literally stepping over backpacks to get inside. No more going to Walgreens right before or right after school hours! I’ve also noticed that there only seems to be one person running the registers, even when there are several people in line. A place like Walgreens is meant for convenience(convenience store!!!), run in and run out. But i’ve had to wait in some unusually long lines here. A bit odd. I also find this Walgreens to be more disorganized and messy than the others I’m used to frequenting. However, at the end of the day, I’d still choose Walgreens over CVS. I think their prices are better and the whole pharmacy operation is more organized.

Walgreens is my pharmacy of choice. They take wonderful care of me. The store has a very friendly and helpful staff. The store is always well-stocked and contains bargains galore.

It’s been a minute since I was in high school. Back in my day – the mid-90s – we had our favorite places to loiter about before and after school. Most notably any of the 15 Waffle Houses that were less than a 5 minute drive from my particular south Atlanta suburb. But that’s not the case these days. At least not if you attend Lamar High School – alma mater of Buffalo Bills Running Back Fred Jackon and Olympic Track Star Jeremy Warner. No, if you go to Lamar there is only one cool place to hang. Walgreens. At least that’s what I’ve come to believe just from passing by it every morning before school starts. The parking lot is filled with high school kids. What are they doing? Perhaps picking up a bottle of juice and some pop tarts to start the day off right? Last minute shopping for a moo moo or flip flops? Protesting the sale of prophylactics which discourage the youth of America from being the sweet, abstinent young Texans to which they all aspire like good red staters? Or maybe just returning something from the Redbox stationed outside. I have no idea. But it is surely a happening scene. As for my needs, they have toothpaste, deodorant, candy, rubbing alcohol, and someone to fill your prescriptions. Pretty standard stuff. The counter people aren’t always the friendliest, but everyone in the pharmacy seems smart and knowledgeable. And if that doesn’t appeal to you, then you can always chill with your buddies while getting free blood pressure tests in that chair with an arm cuff.
