I showed up with a party of 10 and was seated fairly fast, the waitress was very polite and we didn’t have to wait for refills. The brunch buffet was awesome

Came for a brunch with the bf and we did not walk out too happy. We were both really hungry and the food wasn’t really cutting it for us. Bf was really upset about his egg benedicts. we ended up ordering another bottle of mimosa Cuz it was the only thing that was meeting our expectation. Our server was very attentive and polite though.

Just left a negative review for another bar, so it’s time for a positive one. I’ve been coming here for over a year. I have to say, Whitlows has the friendliest staff of any bar i know– they are also good at their jobs(I don’t recall ever seeing the bartenders texting or ignoring customers lol). The people you meet here will often strike a good balance between classy and fun. They usually have DJs or live bands on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and fun dance floors always break out. Perhaps the best part about this place is that there is never any pretentiousness.

If you love diners that have that diner smell and feel then Whitlows on the Wilson is the place for you. I love that they have the option of the buffet or the regular menu which is suitable for all brunch styles and preferences. The buffet mainly consist of lunch and dinner items with a few breakfast options. However you can’t beat the delicious all you can eat crab legs that are the highlight of the buffet. I enjoyed a breakfast entrée from the menu which was delicious thanks to the awesome chef Dianne Pierrelus. Although they don’t take reservations for the brunch we were seated pretty quickly on a Sunday afternoon. Our server was attentive to us despite the busy atmosphere. If you are in Alexandria and your are looking for an inexpensive place for brunch then check out Whitlows on the Wilson. #whitlowsonthewilson #forallthedinerlovers #bestallyoucaneatcrablegs #fallynsfoodieexcursions

Went for brunch this past weekend and the place was pretty crowded. Hostess said about 15 minute wait but really was 5 minutes. Our waiter, Kevin was awesome! He was super friendly, quick and made sure our order was perfect. They have 14 $ mimosas for bottle of orange juice and champagne, which is a good deal considering the mimosas are 6 $ on the menu. I got the cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese and it was delicious! Whitlows has amazing fries! Super crispy and the honey mustard is fantastic! I know they have a pretty good Buffett from the looks of it although I have never gotten it. They have multiple tvs that show all the sports games. Overall, Kevin was great and food was delicious. I will definitely be back!

Nice Brunch spot. Inside and outside seating. You can even bring your dog. They have an all you can eat buffet inside, but there a la carte options are plenty large. The perfect meal after a night out!

Good brunch option in Clarendon. Mediocre food but reasonable price. We had to wait about 20 minutes on Sunday afternoon.

Whitlows is my new favorite spot in Arlington!!! I came here last Sunday for their brunch buffet & unlimited crab legs!!! Oh boy! It was one of the best experiences I have had in a while trying a new place: D. We showed up around 12:30, their brunch runs from 9AM to 3PM, so we thought we would be waiting long since we got there mid-brunch but even though they were busy, we were seated right away! Our wait was literally five minutes, if that, yippie! :) Now, they have the brunch buffet or you can order from the menu, either way, they have a great selection for both. We decided to try the buffet out and it was a success!!! Their mac & cheese, collards, and crab legs were my ultimate favorites. So flavorful, and the fact that the crab legs were all you can eat made it so much better. Where else are you going to find a place that has a wonderful brunch buffet at $ 24 bucks with unlimited crab legs included … No where my friend, nooooo where! :licks lips: They do have a made to order omelet bar as well but I would steer clear of that, the lady behind the pan didn’t cook it all the way, yuck! Now to the dranks, they have your typical beverages plus you can get Bloody Marys for an additional price or my new favorite, «make-your-own mimosas» for a mere $ 14. It’s SO worth it! They give you a whole bottle of champagne and a pitcher full of orange juice so you can make it as strong as you like. Hallelujah!!! Drink away, my friend, drink away! As far as the staff goes, our waiter was really nice and answered any & every question that I had as a newcomer. He was serving almost the entire floor, but managed his time well, and even got a chance to check out the game & talk crap with the locals at the bar. He was awesome! If I could give this place a 4.5, I would! WOW has a great neighborhood vibe to it. Very low key, great food, cool personalities, and just a nice environment to be in on game day! Love love love me some Whitlows on Wilson: insert heart emoji here: haha. I’m looking forward to my next visit! Favs: The staff, food, drinks, and the overall experience was fantastic! My new«go to» spot when in Arlington!!! Would Change: The omelette station wasn’t that great, maybe add a few more ingredients to choose from and let someone else make the omelettes for the people!

My friends and I came here after work, the service is TERRIBLE!!! We waited on the waitress to come great us, it had to take her 10 minutes for that. And they was not crowded. The waitress brought us some water, I don’t know where she got the water from, it taste like toilet water, the place was dirty and run down looking! That was enough for us, we got up and left. Two thumbs down for this shack!!! I wish I had more thumbs!!!

Went with some friends while we were stuck out in Virginia for the day. Really cool tiki– style rooftop bar. TVs to watch the games, great game day drink specials, fun music!

Whitlow’s… you really are clever. You had me when your initials amounted to WoW! FOOD — Good and great value! My western omelette was only $ 9 for the omelette, sausages(2), house potatoes(«house fries»), and English muffin. Eggs Benedict for $ 9 is also a deal in my opinion. AMBIANCE — I felt a diner-like vibe but the décor was not that way at all. It felt like a come-as-you-are type of place for weekend brunch. SERVICE — I felt it was understaffed and consequently slower. Our table had to flag down our waitress several times and she was more to the point than elsewhere. But she did split checks for our group of six which is awesome! Whitlow’s is a pretty solid spot from my visit, but I will say be in no rush if you come!

Atrocious. Poor service with poor attitudes. Dish arrived completely cold in temperature to the table. We literally had to get up twice to get our own hot sauce, condiments, and chase the server to put in an order. Nothing spectacular, memorable, or unique about the brunch. Super basic.

We stopped in here because we wanted to just enjoy being outside. Overall, it’s a very nice rooftop and it has all your basic drink options. It kind of reminded me of being at a college frat house. If you’ve never visited Whitlow’s, they have an upstairs rooftop that is set to look like a tiki bar. They also have games such as ping pong and corn hole. I also liked that they had misters up there, because it was very hot outside that day. I would actually like to see this place in the evening when it cools down, but overall a fun experience. I saw people order some food, but unfortunately I didn’t get to try any of it.

Whitlow’s is a place I’ve been dozens of times in my 2 years of living in Arlington — mostly on Thursday nights for mug night. It used to be one of the most fun places in Clarendon for me and all of my friends to go and enjoy some drinks. Unfortunately, this place has sort of lost some of its luster for me over the last 6 months or so. I know that they had recently either taken away or scaled back mug night, meaning you couldn’t get $ 2 mugs past 9 p.m. anymore but I think they might have reinstated that tradition. I recently went on a Saturday night to see White Ford Bronco playing there. It was a $ 10 cover and it was pretty packed in the bar. The place has always had a weird layout in my opinion. Next to the bar there are some seats that are backed up pretty close to where you order your drinks so it makes maneuvering around the bar pretty difficult sometimes — especially if you’re holding a drink or two. Whitlow’s downstairs still has its pros, with 3 or 4 different areas and two separate bars you can enjoy. Also, the rooftop is a pretty fun place to hang when there’s nice weather but any deal that is going on downstairs doesn’t usually apply to the rooftop so be prepared to spend a little more if you want the outside feel. Whitlow’s is worth at least checking out if you’re in the Clarendon area drinking because it can be fun. But if it looks blown out and there is a line to get in the downstairs portion … just walk away.

Max has been trying to get me to go to brunch at Whitlow’s since we moved here last year. He and friends all went after we unpacked, and grabbed the all you can eat buffet — with endless crab legs. I had to go to work, and I’m not a huge crab leg fan. When people eat crab beasts come out of them. Ripping and cracking the shell with their hands, puling out the crab meat and feasting like their lives were going to end the next day. It Their buffet is $ 24, and for $ 30 that includes crab legs. I was a little skeptical that the brunch would be worth that without the crab, but I went anyway. I can safely say It is 100% worth it. I could eat those buttery, smokey and pork saturated collard greens for days. I would suggest getting the corn bread and putting it next to the collards so it mops up all the juices. I tasted a small bite of each sampling, then ate my plate in a circle. The sausage gravy was perfect, and I just wanted to pour it over everything. If you’re looking for delicious brunch with friends or family, somewhere to redefine the word feast, or just a great selection of food I would suggest Whitlow’s on Wilson.

We were looking for something more than your basic brunch spot… and boy did we find it! Whitlow’s can only be described as «Brunches N Bunches». Simply put… I LOVETHEPLACE! Great food. Great people. Great staff. Thanks!

Very nice rooftop tiki bar with enough canopies, umbrellas and fans spraying a nice mist of water to keep everyone cool even on the hottest summer day. The food is really good, and you get huge portions. The service is very fast, the atmosphere is welcoming and diverse. The bartenders are pleasant attentive and helpful.

We recently ate outside beside the sidewalk at Whitlow’s on a Wednesday night and had a very enjoyable meal. Big hint: sandwiches and drinks are half priced on Wednesdays! Our bill was less than $ 50 for three people with food, adult beverages and tip. The craft beer selection was very good, and I thoroughly enjoyed a strawberry ale that was on tap. The sandwich selection was pretty extensive, including a range such as crab cake sliders, pulled pork, Gyro, Reuben and blt. For dinner, I had the steak and cheese sandwich with a side of fries. Both were very good. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The sandwich was the perfect size. Others in our party had the portobello mushroom sandwich and the classic grilled cheese. They said they were tasty and ate every bite. Service was very good, attentive but not hovering. Water glasses were refilled without us having to ask. Based on this one experience, I would definitely recommend Whitlow’s to other Unilocalers looking for a good sandwich on a Wednesday night. If I lived in the area, I would definitely go back to try other sandwiches and some of the entrees.

I was able to check out Whitlow’s on Wilson with a friend for their AYCE ‘famous’ weekend brunch. They begin the buffet at 10AM, but it is more limited(you get your standard breakfast fare such as the waffles, an omelet station, bacon, sausage links, scrambled eggs, home fries, cereal, bagels, and pastries) — I thought the sausages were pretty tasty, as they were not overly greasy; however, I highly suggest in coming closer to 11AM, as the rest of the buffet becomes filled, like pasta(I was only a fan of their mac and cheese as it was so cheesy and creamy, and the top had a great crispy exterior — get the corner pieces!), the salad bar, fried shrimp, collared greens, and, of course, the one thing I was focusing on — the steamed snow crab legs! About $ 26 per person, I think if you want to get your snow crab leg fix, it’s a pretty good deal — the legs are a good size and have a lot of meat in them, and they come out piping hot(just eye those kitchen doors!). There is no limit, and I love the fact that there is no one to ‘serve’ you a leg or two — it is purely up to you to just go out of town! :D There is also some clarified butter in the ‘soup’ pot behind the buffet. The server also drops off a bucket to discard your shells. The place definitely gets packed, so keep that in mind, and the service is usually tended to the larger tables, so it can be quite MIA. On Sunday, as it’s free ‘metered’ parking — I was surprised at the number of available parking spots around the block! +AYCE weekend brunch(10AM-3PM) — go closer to 11 for the complete buffet! +AYCE hot steamed snow crab legs(!!!) +mac and cheese +MIA service +free street parking on Sunday!

I have been going to Whitlow’s for years and I can’t believe I am now just writing a review. This place has a decent brunch in the area with a wide selection of food, ample seating, and a cool, laid back vibe that doesn’t feel like it is trying to hard even though some of the customers are. Specially the roof top patio when the weather is warm. My go food here is the Eggs Norwegian, mimosa during brunch and maybe a corona. My friend and I decided to go here so we could catch up and have a few laughs. It was the perfect location because one was driving(garage next door) and the other was taking the metro(Clarendon station is close) so it was convenient for all of us. We went on a Wednesday night and select drinks were $ 3 and the sandwiches were half priced! I had a sandwich and 2 drinks and my bill was like $ 12! There was a great atmosphere too. I saw families, coworkers, college kids but it kept the typical«bar type» volume the entire time. As for nightlife that’s another story. :)

The rooftop here is great! All drinks are served in 12oz cans and there’s a huge selection to choose from. During the winter they turn on the outdoor heaters to keep the deck warm. This place can get really crowded so be ready to wait.
