Two negative experience for me: First few months one the host was very rude and threat in to kill me. For no reason. I think the guy was crazy. Second i had food poison from eating there. I will never eating here again.

I ordered the chicken kabob. It was ok. They allowed me to customize the dish without charging extra, but chicken quality was not the greatest and they were not many vegetables. They did give me a free meal on my bday though!

I placed a take out order for an office of 30 people 4 days in advance of the event. I received order confirmations after placing the order and the day before delivery. It is 2:10pm and I am still waiting for our 11:45 am lunch delivery. I called the restaurant multiple times and was lied to and told the order would be ready in 10 minutes over and over again. Long story short, do not ever order Zoe’s Kitchen through a delivery service. They will forget to contract the delivery driver and bullshit you for hours because they don’t want to risk you cancelling the order. I hope our company is refunded the $ 500 order total that you would think they would have prioritized.

So good and affordable. I got a salad that had a large scoop of bulgur wheat on it(I forget the name of it). The dressing was perfect – a little spicy and so flavorful. I liked this place so much on my short 2-day trip there that I went their twice!

Pretty good food, but overpriced, in my opinion. The chicken orzo soup is tasty, but you’re paying $ 5 for essentially some boiled carrots and celery. Pretty light on all the other stuff. Although I did point it out to them once and they gave me a better bowl for free. I was pretty happy with that. However, I keep getting big bowls of nothing, so I’ll probably stop going there. I wouldn’t mind so much since, like I said, it’s still tasty, but I paid a lot for it so I should get some chicken and orzo in my chicken and orzo soup!

Zoe’s is a good lunch spot. I always get the Greek salad and it is huge! Sometimes if I’m super hungry I’ll add the grilled chicken. The salad itself will definitely fill you up and I really like the house dressing.

I am particularly fond of any place that has Mediterranean cuisine. It’s a fast casual Mediterranean concept where they bring your food out to you. I usually get the hummus sampler, and am always unsure if I am supposed to leave the plates at the table when I’m done. It’s pretty good, though nothing else stands out for me.

Zoe’s Kitchen offers fresh, fast Mediterranean food. We stopped by for a quick lunch were not disappointed. Casual counter service restaurant. You order at counter and food is delivered to your table. Nice menu with a variety of salads, pitas, wraps, kabobs. I had the Hummus trio with classic(nice), basil(good) and red pepper(spicy) hummus with it included both soft and crust pita for just $ 6.79. Also had a bowl of the Tomato bisque soup which was flavorful and just $ 4.39. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is Clean and staff are friendly. A fresh, healthy and fast food option in Arlington.

Decided I wanted a Greek salad for lunch, logged into Unilocal and this place popped up. I am extremely satisfied. I wish there were a few more peperoncinos and olives on the salad(I’m sure this is something you can ask extra for, so I will be doing that next time because there will certainly be a next time). Great customer service and awesome freshly made limeade.

The food was excellent, but the ordering and food delivery service is so-so. There was such loud music piped in that the woman taking our order could not hear us clearly. Shockingly, she then got our order wrong. She was very nice about it corrected the mistake.

I hate to give mediocre reviews. I want to love every place especially if they try. And Zoe’s tries! It looks fresh clean and is affordable. But seriously if u think this is CLOSE to delicious Mediterranean flair, you’ve not had much Med food at all! First: hummus very good, delish. 5 stars. But move to chicken kabobs, cooked chewy, not juicy and fresh. Perhaps it was reheated for me. And Spiced poorly. Next the Rice! It’s not at all spiced in a med way, but more like a bad boxed rice. The traditional yogurt/cucumber sauce? More like spicy mayo!!! Ick!!! There is a chain called Garbanzo that does this RIGHT but they are Colorado only right now. When they come to town you will know what I mean. Same price, vastly different experience. Sorry to be a hater.

I’m really surprised that Zoes Kitchen isn’t rated higher, because I had a delicious experience there. Zoes Kitchen is the Mediterranean version of Noodles & Co. since it also tries to create an upscale fast dining experience. As a result, prices are more in line with a lower priced restaurant than with a fast food place. As an example, the shrimp kabobs were $ 10. So, considering that Zoes Kitchen is too casual for a first date, it’s kind of pricey compared to fast food joints. But then again, $ 10 for shrimp kabobs is a good price compared to most restaurants. Not to mention that the shrimp kabobs were DELICIOUS! Seriously, why aren’t they in the top 3 mentioned dishes on Unilocal? They were not dried out or overcooked, and had a ton of flavor. I was dubious about the brown rice since most brown rice tends to be dried out, but it was also so delicious I didn’t need to add other flavoring. The salad made me feel healthy since it had feta cheese and the pita bread was oh-so-soft. The only knock is that the cucumber yogurt sauce was 90% cucumbers and 10% yogurt sauce. Not sure how you’re supposed to dip pita bread in something that is essentially solid. Overall, I was really happy and would like to come back again. Sidebar: I wish that Zoes would add a subtitle to their name about it being Mediterranean cuisine — I’d never been there before because I always assumed from the name Zoes Kitchen that the food was unhealthy American comfort food.

This is the second lunch spot I tried since I started working in the Ballston area, and I’m happy that I turned to Unilocal to determine where I would find my health friendly lunch from. Location — Convenient — right across the street from the metro and it brightens up the street a bit. Nice outside seating but if you come during the busy lunch hour — good luck! You’re probably not going to find a table. I like to have a bit of a late lunch so I can ditch the crowd. Price: When I compare it to sweetgreen you are getting more for your money. I love salmon! When I order the salmon salad from sweetgreen it comes up to $ 12 — hence, why I mostly bring my lunch to work. Here at Zoes, it’s also 12 bucks but you get more for your money. Pita and hummus comes along with and the serving portions are bigger, but still a healthy size. Plus Zoes will give you more salmon than sweetgreen gives you — two servings versus one serving. Service– Good service, tons of businesses in the area give you good service I believe because lunch hour is such a competitive time for businesses in Ballston. One negative comment or ill-mannered employee will send someone next door or down the street to another business. Zoes has a very clean environment — when I finished \ my lunch a guy came to bus my table. I really like the fast casual waiter service during a busy hour. At other places you would place your bowl/plate in a stack by the garbage, but here they will take it for you. Nice touch of customer service. I will be coming back here for lunch due to the healthy options, tasty food, convenient location, and good customer service.

Zoe’s is a convenient, healthy option right next to the Ballston metro. They have great kabobs and sandwiches but my favorite thing about Zoe’s is their sides! There are so many options and you can substitute them with whatever entrée you picked. Service is super friendly — the people greet you as soon as you walk in and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the menu. The restaurant is clean and has ample indoor and outdoor seating. They’re also pretty fast about preparing take-out orders. If you download the Zoe’s app you can get a bunch of free stuff! Just take a picture of your receipt(has to be more than $ 8 I believe) and they will send you a voucher for a free goodie. The goodies I’ve received have ranged from a free soda to a free entrée(no purchase necessary)!

How I heard of this place: I first noticed Zoe’s while walking by an otherwise dull and drab Ballston street corner several months back. This time, however, the vibrant colors and attractive, bold stripes captured my attention. Type of cuisine: Mediterranean comfort food. «Zoës Kitchen is a natural extension of Zoë Cassimus’ lifetime of cooking for family and friends. Inspired by Zoë’s original recipes and her simple, fresh-from-the-garden sensibility, we start every day by making the food from scratch onsite at each restaurant. Our dishes are wholesome; our portions generous. It’s Mediterranean-inspired comfort food with customers’ dietary concerns in mind-nothing fried with gluten-free and vegetarian options.» Ambiance: The bright coloring of the red-backed sign above the establishment, with block lettering in black-outlined white letters reading zoes KITCHEN attracts, especially on the dark and grey days of winter. The orange, purple, yellow and green toned awnings, and the matching, brightly colored umbrellas, one in each color: mint green, orange, brown, covering the outdoor patio seating. The wrought iron fence around the patio holds ten tables, with seating at round, square and rectangular tables for parties of four or pairs of two. The glass encased foyer leads us into another door which brings us into the long, rectangular space. Walls around the restaurant boast the same color scheme of the awnings outside, with bright oranges, yellows, greens and reds, in bold, thick, striped patterns. Barquettes lined with reusable, plastic Zoe’s cups. The kitchen, directly behind the order counter, is clean, clear and clutter-free. Back-lit menus overhead are easily read with their enticing pictures and clear, bold block lettering. Individually srapped pieces of chocolate cake and huge oatmeal cookies offer impulse buys at the register. Taller, light-colored tables with green, plastic stools and intimate booth seating are available, four bold-colored paintings in single hues on the wall behind. Continuing along, smaller booths for parties of two squish up against the wood-paneled(bottom half) walls. The tiled floors lead us to a space of more white tables with plastic chairs keep bottoms warm while patrons dine. What I ordered: The Gruben(Zoe’s favorite) with grilled turkey, Swiss cheese, slaw, and spicy mustard on toasted rye bread with a side of Tomato Bisque; and the Chicken Kabob plate($ 8.95) which included two kabob skewers of cubed chicken interspersed with grilled cherry tomatoes, grilled peppers and onions, a side of rice pilaf and a Greek salad. Four triangles of pita bread also graced my plate, for which we requested a sample of their hummus. On a return visit, Tuesday, December 13, 2011: Shrimp Kabobs($ 9.95), a plate of two well-seasoned, charbroiled shrimp kabobs interspersed with half-moon slices of grilled zucchini and served over rice pilaf, cucumber and red onion raita and a side Greek salad with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, green bell pepper, cucumber, kalamata olives, feta cheese and a pepperoncini and three pita triangles on the side, and the Grilled Chicken Dinner($ 8.95), a seasoned and charbroiled chicken breast served with roasted fresh vegetables(broccoli, red onion, sliced mushrooms and carrots) as well as a bowl of braised white beans. On a return visit, Friday, December 23, 2011: Steak Roll-Ups($ 8.39), sliced tri-tip, Swiss cheese and caramelized onions were rolled together in Zoe’s flatbread, grilled to melty perfection. A mayonnaise-based dipping sauce and side salad of choice. On a return visit, Tuesday, January 10, 2011: Grilled Shrimp Salad($ 9.65), with charbroiled shrimp, roasted zucchini, white beans, greens, feta cheese, diced cucumber and tomato dressed in Zoes Kitchen house dressing, with a small side of creamy Greek yogurt, and Chicken Roll-Ups($ 7.59), tortillas filled with feta cheese, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, salsa for dipping and a side of mayonnaise-free potato salad. On a return visit, Thursday, February 2, 2012: Greek Chicken Pita($ 7.39), with a side of Roasted Vegetables(broccoli, red onion, carrots and mushrooms) to accompany my half-pita with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions and feta cheese. What I loved: The hummus, soft and creamy, the soup was warm and saturated with salt. The chicken kabobs stole the show. Of course, no bite of kabob was complete without a roasted vegetable on the fork, so the combination is what did it for us. That being said, the Gruben was probably the highlight of our first meal! A delicious and spicy treat, we thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Why I loved it: Simple food. Great prices. Colorful ambiance. Friendly staff. Delicious. Cost: Low to average($ 6.29-$ 9.95 per sandwich or entrée)

I’m definitely down for the cause. Hands down, the best hummus I’ve had in a long time. And the olive garnish really adds to the flavor. I love their wraps, rice and beans, and kabebs(steak and shrimp). I wish the location was more conveniently located for me. I would eat here at least once a week. Customer service here is 5 stars. The manager(I beleive her name is Ryan) is a sweetheart.

I’ve driven by the place and noticed the bright colors, but never thought what kind of food was offered at Zoe’s Kitchen. I’d have never thought about actually visiting until attending a Unilocal event to showcase their cuisine. The food is better than your presumed fast food place. They make everything with fresh ingredients, never fried or microwaved and the difference is noticeable. Also, I could’ve kept eating those chocolate chip cookies forever. My favorite thing was the steak and spinach inside dough. It’s good food when you need something quick but don’t want greasy food that you’ll regret later in the day. It’s conveniently across the street from Ballston metro, but unless you’re a working professional that pays for garage parking in the vicinity, street parking is a huge pain. Took 10 minutes to get here, 15 minutes to find parking.

Came here to pick up food for 25+ people for an event, and ended up buying more food just for myself because it all looked so good! I had the pasta salad, potato salad, hummus, and some kabobs and it was all great! Best part was that we got a free drink in a huge sports cup just for downloading the app! I LOVED the color palatte and the ambiance of the restaurant – so inviting and energetic. The staff was super helpful and got our huge order ready fairly quickly. One of them helped us bring it to the car because it was hot. Totally recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!
