Unfortunately, this is another small business that didn’t survive the poor economy. There is a very good bakery in nearby Murphy’s, Aria. Try the raspberry croissants! :)

Sad, but typical for the area. Dysfunctional staff — kid sweeping in back, with exposed food sitting on racks completely ignored the difficulties the other kid was having on the register. This was causing people to just turn away and walk out. Excrutiatingly long wait — not due to lines or throngs of people, but just poor set up and operations. Unbelievable that they would have invested this much in a new facility and then ignore how it is run. Wanted to order coffee as well but this would have caused the place to shut down completely. The positive — The pastries and donuts are decent and the shop is pleasant.

Two words. BACON donuts. Awesome. But you usually gotta get there early or they will probably be out. We have a vacation house in Arnold and stop at Lit’l Bear at least once a month,

Have been here twice and hope to go again very soon. Brand new building with handsome log cabin design, high ceilings, and mountain-themed décor. Delicious pastries and friendly service. I recommend the blueberry coffee cake muffins. They are so delicious! I like the rich crust. DH likes the abundance of blueberries – way more than your average blueberry muffin. They also serve sandwiches for the lunch crowd. What a great addition to the Arnold community.

Went in here to get some cocoa and a pastry, and came out with an awesome conversation(and baked goods). Local shops like this one are truly great. The owners like everything about their job, the people they serve, and the food they make. Guess that’s their secret to success!

Lover of baked goods. That’s me! Having grown up in Arnold I take an interest in keeping up with business openings. One of the newest such businesses is Lit’l Bear Bakery located on Highway 4. The building is a brand new log cabin which fits the location perfectly. The owners took a lot of time planning and decorating the bakery to create a homey and mountainy feel complete with fireplace which is perfect during the cold winter months. Unfortunately I arrived just prior to closing so there were not many baked goods left. Only a couple of donuts and breads remained. No problem. I chose a glazed donut which is my favorite anyway. The donut was light and fluffy just as it should be. I really wish I would have been able to try one of the much talked about croissants which I’ve heard are delish. Next time one of those croissants will be mine! ;)
