Although The Dry Dock«WAS» a great stop for breakfast or a «beverage with a view», I will never go back after my Labor Day«attempt» at obtaining Breakfast 9÷7÷15. I can understand a busy Labor Day weekend, college help departing for school, and«the morning rush», but I do not understand ownership and Mangement with total disregard for Customers and failure to admit mistakes(lost, misplaced orders). 930am, my party of five arrived, and seated at 945. We were promptly greeted, gave drink orders and served drinks within reasonable expectation. However, as 1030am approached without food, and watching six other tables, both inside and outside being served by 3 other wait staff, we asked«where is our food?» We were told«it’s real busy, but I’ll check». Finally, after witnessing a 2-top being served, who had just arrived 20 mins ago, then a 7-top being served having arrived just a few minutes before that, we walked at 10:50am, a full hour and 5 mins after being seated. As one of our concerned party tried to explain our experience and said she’d stand at the counter and wait for hers in a to-go box, the manager didn’t apologize and didn’t offer a comp until further negotiation resulted in a partial payment. I’ve since learned that previous management split from current management and that service and quality has suffered. Although I am from out of State, I hear many locals have not returned. In the highly competitive and short season market of Okoboji, it’s disappointing to see egotistical management treat customers poorly. They fail to recall the old adage… Treat a customer well, they’ll tell 3 others. Treat a customer bad, they’ll tell everyone”

Horrible. I will not be back. Do not eat here unless u r really hung over and can barely walk from Four seasons condos. When walking in bartender yelled«sit where you want». Server literally after ten minutes of sitting threw three menus on table for four of us and walked off!!! No hello or a blink of an eye. Blonde server after fighting with other server comes over after another ten minutes and says«what would you like?» Before I even finished my order asks my sis what she wants. Food was awful. Cold and mine had hair in it. Freezer burnt hashbrowns. Ordered egg basted and came out over hard– even came that way on the eggs Benedict. It was so bad my daughter started eating the jelly with her fork out of the packet instead. No joke. I did not even want to pay the miserable $ 48 for the meal. The server seemed to busy flirting with the local 65 yr old men than to care. Saw lots of other people leaving without touching their food either. Oh and don’t let the peeling wallpaper hit ya in the ass when you leave although the dead flies on the wall might be keeping it up.

I came here for breakfast with a friend. The restaurant/bar is tucked back off the main highway and not that visible unless you’re looking for it, so look for the Four Seasons Motel first(across from the Ritz) then see this place attached to it. Our waitress was top notch. I appreciated her attentiveness as she brought coffee right away. I had a great view of the lake, except for the bird poop on the windows. The place smelled a bit musty as bar smells can often emit after many years without being freshened up. My french toast was good and they let us sit outside for a bit after our meal. I’d really like to see a deep cleaning and new paint inside. This place would easily get a higher rating from me with a bit of elbow grease applied inside.

Grab a Bloody Mary and sit outside! Love this place for that reason. Their breakfast is also delish! Eggs Benedict are my personal fav. Lunch is great! My brother in-law swears by their pastrami sammi. Outside is the place to be. Great bar and good food!

Best breakfast place at the Lakes BYFAR!!! Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were big. The Bloody Mary’s are the perfect breakfast drink on vacation. Prices are good and the view from the deck… spectacular!!! I plan to be back many times this summer!

It was a busy summer during our week at the Iowa Great Lakes. My Son took ceramic lessons at Art on 16th(Spirit Lake) and a glass glass with Jesse Bogenrief in Spencer. I drove over to Estherville(my home town) a few times to reminisce, and Gayle arrived separately with her best friend from College(Moorhead State) and family. Also on the agenda were Nutty Bars, the 2 Okoboji Brew Pubs, a little shopping, and a sunset dinner on the shoreline deck of the Dry Deck Lounge. My only issue with our excellent experience is that we weren’t here on Friday, as I do miss a good Fish Fry. Past that, the service was friendly and nicely Lake casual, the menu selections satisfied all 7 of us well, the food was tasty, the prices were reasonable, and it was wonderful hanging out on the deck and enjoying the view without too much noise or distraction. For a summer Iowa resort experience, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Great prices, great food and extremely fast. We sat down, ordered our food and within 10 minutes all 4 of our meals have arrived. Everything was cooked properly and tasted great. Next time i’m in Okoboji I will be going back. Unlike Barraco’s this place has better food, a better view and much better prices.

Great, laid back place to have a few beers after a day at the lakes. They have both a full menu and a full bar, so you should be happy no matter what you’re looking for. Also, check out the picture I included — you can sit back with your beer and relax while taking in a great view of the lakes. The Lounge is attached to The Four Seasons hotel, so if you’re staying there, it’s perfect. It’s not as lively as other places in the area, but the food was good, the beer kept flowing, and the waitress was good.

Pros — location, location, location Great view of West Lake Okoboji from outdoor deck dining area Fat Tire on tap Good server when we were there for a recent Sunday lunch My husband had a reuben and fries which were good. Our neighbors had shrimp cocktail, but how can you screw that up? Cons — food Terribly salty Au Jus Iceberg salad No greeting from 2 bartenders talking to each other when we entered restaurant(we finally asked them if we could seat ourselves on the deck) Hard to find: actually says«Four Seasons» on sign. If you pass the Sneaky Chicken after crossing the bridge, you have gone too far. Surly looking employee hunched on an upturned bucket smoking and scowling in front of restaurant I would go back to drink and eat if I was drunk enough to order. Just the perfect low-key place with a lot of character and fun to talk about afterwards. Simple bar, indoor seating with a view of the lake and a nice deck for sunny days as well as a dock for boat access. The recommended item is the Pork Loin sandwich. It’s huge — good for two people, bun and fries were great. The bloody mary’s are good, but not spicy(ask for the Tobasco), but it does come with a small beer back. Good times you won’t forget.

Well worth the wait to get in. Had to wait about an half hour on Sunday morning. Great breakfast and bloodys. Service was so-so, took some time to order and they were quick to take your plate.

Breakfast and bloody marys at the Dry Dock is a tradition for my family. It’s a big event when we go for the first time every season — we do a little polka dancing on the boat in front of bemused diners; as soon as we hit the dock my sister-in-law and I run up to the restaurant to put our name on the list for seating; and then inevitably we stand around waiting for a table for up to a half hour. But it’s SO worth the wait. I do not know what Dry Dock does to make their bloody marys so good. I have a suspicion it may involve magic. They are excellent — I add a little tabasco and pepper, and that’s all they need. Dry Dock also automatically serves your bloody with a beer chaser — you don’t even have to ask for it! As for the food — I almost always get the W.B. Arnold’s Benedict(see, it’s a play on Benedict Arnold and Arnold’s Park… get it? OK, I thought it was clever). The poached eggs are always perfectly done and the benedict is served alongside delicious hashbrowns which can be topped with cheese or onions if you so desire(do it, you won’t regret it). I’ve tried the french toast which is also very good, and they have a couple of good omelets which are also tasty. If you visit for lunch or dinner, they serve a decent burger and have some casual sandwiches, etc. On a nice day, there is a patio for outdoor seating. However, after we’ve worn ourselves out polka dancing on the boat and running up the stairs to get a table, we’re usually quite happy to enjoy the indoor seating and air conditioning.
