We first stayed here 10 years ago and had a wonderful experience. We returned this week and found everything to be as wonderful as it was many years ago when Judy first opened the Inn. Coreen prepared wonderful breakfast each morning and was extremely helpful and accommodating with our group. Hopefully we will return soon!

Our experience here was good. The place is very clean, warm & the staff was very helpful. It is decorated very tastefully especially the common sitting area. We stayed here during Christmas and with the Xmas tree and adornments it looked just wonderful. If you plan to ski in taos ski valley this may be the best location to stay. It’s right at the bottom of the ski valley and takes about 15 mins to reach Taos city. Great place to kick back & relax– they have a lot of books(a lot!) and wi-fi is fast too. The rooms don’t have a tv however which may be a bummer. Breakfast too is very tastefully prepared and served. Loved the way fruit was served first — even a fruit hater would eat it up! Coreen who is the cook is very sweet. She explains every dish prepared before serving and it is just delightful. Their homemade green chile salsa was yummy. However they don’t serve anything other than what they bring to your table like some milk, banana or toast which are important at breakfast! Coffee too is available only in the morning for about 2 hours. They have herbal teas which I didn’t really care for. I was disappointed that the options to eat n drink seemed a bit limited. Another let down was their jacuzzi. The drain did not work well when the shower was used — this was annoying. Rooms were comfortable overall. Judy the owner was helpful and suggested many places for us to dine. She even made reservations for us.

Beautiful views from our room, La Luna. Bobbi, who served us breakfast, was very nice. Room was clean, bed was comfy, though the owner, Judy, warned us not to buy Pella windows because they were problematic, and that candles only were to be used in the kiva fireplace until after the first snow due to fire risk. Jacuzzi tub with shower head attachment was great, but due to the upstairs location of the room, there is a notice posted stating can only be used between 7 am-11pm. B&B website says there is a hot tub under the stars, but that is apparently a seasonal feature like the fireplace and wasn’t in operation for our visit.

I will have to agree with Le Cupcake G. — the description is nearly identical to my family’s experience there. A Bed & Breakfast should be a warm-friendly place to relax and enjoy, a home away from home. Adobe & Stars is none of those things. We’ve stayed there two years in a row for our annual Taos trip in February. The first time I wrote it off as just a bad week or possibly just distrust of new guests with a small child, but seriously — this owner runs a dictatorship. This year was the same, you get the walking-on-eggshells feeling as soon as you walk through the door from this opinionated, abrasive and down-right crabby owner. The food is pretty good, and the place is clean but neither of those pluses are worth putting up with the rest of it. Judy should find a new profession she enjoys, it is obvious that the service industry isn’t it.
