I am SO GLAD I chose to get the bridal package from Karishma Beauty! We had Catholic and Hindu weddings in one weekend and it was amazing. From Garba night to reception I had a total of 4 FABULOUS looks that I loved. My hairdos were always on point and perfect for each different event. Tiffany did an awesome job with my makeup too. I didn’t think I needed help getting dressed… Think again! Lol. I loved the whole experience, and it was much better with the help of the professionals from Karishma Beauty! Awesome gals

The service has gone down. I’ve had really bad experience recently and have stopped going there. The wait-​time is too long and they are usually short staffed. I would not recommend the facials. The facials come with a massage just on the face– shoulders and back not included. Despite of them saying that the facials are 45 minutes long, they really are 15 minutes long as majority of the time is spent under the steam machine and later with the mask on your face. The facials are not relaxing in any shape or form.
I would not recommend the oil massage as well. I was told that the massage would be 20 minutes long. The minute the place got busy, my massage became 10 minutes long. As I said they are always short staffed. They used to be good. The service and quality has gone downhill. They are better options in Artesia. Bye Bye Karishma Beauty Salon.

They are just about okay. They are not too clean and the place is kind of messy. I went for the first time for waxing and threading and they did a decent job. The second visit was for facial and hair cut and they greatly suck at hair cuts. The so called stylist was super confused and charged me $ 30 for a layer cut, I personally think it wasn’t worth more than $ 10. They didn’t even care to dry my hair unless asked. Paul did my facial and the duration was for 1 hour, out of which she was over the phone for 45 mins and had only 15 mins of her time to attend to me. Pretty disappointing, will not go again!

Do not come here for a brazillian wax.
The wax was super hot and burned my skin, and when I told the waxer it was too hot her solution was to blow on the wax after she applied it to my skin??? I’ve had waxes before and the wax was *never* that hot. It hurt like crazy walking to my car afterward, even though I was wearing loose fitting clothing.
After I got home, I noticed a bunch of hairs they completely missed. Like, there’s still chunks of long hair in several places. I would call and ask them if they’d clean up the stray hairs, but instead I’m going to pay to go somewhere else because of the burning wax situation :(
2 stars because both women were very nice, and also because I can’t comment on their threading and henna services, which seems to be the main focus of their business.

Parul did my hair and makeup for my wedding and reception, as well as my mom and aunt. She did an amazing job! She arrived and got me ready on time, is very friendly, and was very patient with my other vendors. She did my makeup in a natural but elegant way, and both hairstyles were exactly how I wanted them. I got tons of compliments on everything on the day of, and the photos came out beautifully too. Highly recommend her for any event!

Love this little hole in the wall like place! They did a great job at threading my eyebrows and I even got a quick hair trim! Will definitely be back !!

I met up with some friends for lunch at an AYCE Indian buffet in what is known as Little India and after lunch, we decided to walk some of that indulgent food off. Up the street was this quaint little place my friend said she goes to get her eye brows threaded. I forget the name of the lady that did my eye brows, but she was very friendly and patient. I like to have a higher arch and not so thin, so I explained that to her. She did a very good job doing the best she could with what I had. One side of my eye brows has better hair growth than the other, so she gave me tips on how to achieve better hair growth, which was to rub Castrol oil on it daily. I haven’t done that yet, but I will start soon.
The pricing is really cheap. something like $ 6. Also, if you check in on Unilocal,you get $ 1 off. Great service, great price, great advice. This place is a bit far from where I live, but if ever in the area, I’ll make it a point to get my eyebrows did!

I love karishma beauty! They always do a great job for me. From henna, bindi and hair! I tell them exactly what I want and they always come through for me. They even give good suggestion to enhance my beauty. This place is my beauty sanctuary! I made it a tradition to visit karishma on my birthdays and now my wedding is coming up! I can’t wait to work w/​them again.

A great alternative to iSalon. Karishma is located in a random house-​like establishment so it’s smaller in size, yet much cleaner and decorative (vs. iSalon).
Eyebrow threading is also $ 3.99! Plus I checked in for a $ 1 off discount. What a steal.

My sister in law told me that Jasleen moved here. I followed her from the iSalon and now that she has her own place its great. Everytime I need my eyebrows threaded I come here. Great service and @ $ 3.99 its a steal !!!

Very nice staff, clean salon.

The owner and her employees were so great with our girl scouts! She answered all of our questions, and everything was done quickly and professionally. When my daughter accidentally smeared some of her henna, the lady helped her out and even gave the girls some bindhis to complete their looks! She also comes out and does parties for your events! I highly recommend this shop! Just call before you come since it is a small shop and she needs to make sure she has enough employees to help your party. She was fantastic and we will go again!

Great place. Our henna was beautiful and the ladies were welcoming and helpful. I plan on booking them for a party in the future as well! Parul was very responsive to my emails as well especially because of all my questions and scheduling updates.

Got my eyebrows and cleanup done here. It was OK. Eyebrows shape was ok, I prefer Kaya, they are way better for the same price.
The cleanup was not good at all. For more than 40 bucks, all she did was a little bit of cleansing, very less steam, and just a pack. I can do that myself at home with a nice cleansing brush like clarisonic or olay and apply a pack later. So way tooooo expensive and not worth at all.
However I must say the lady is very friendly and polite over there.

I went to Karishma Salon for henna, the lady who owns the place was so nice and friendly. She did amazing henna on my hand and even did a little extra design for me on the back of my hands. If you are looking for someone fast and reliable for henna tattoo definitely go to Karishma Beauty Salon.

I got my eyebrows done 5 days ago and I am so mad! Not only are they uneven but she missed so many hairs. Yes I did examine that day but when I already saw a few cuts I was really afraid what more could they do besides tear my skin.
I’ve been a threader for over 15 years and I know the growth of my hair and thru different stages– this is horrible.
Yes I did talk to the manager/​owner that day and she grabbed the thread and attempted to fix. I kept telling her something looks off. She smiled and said its fine now. My fault for being passive.

Balbio, the lady who did my eyebrows is very skilled, shaped my brows perfectly and she was very gentle. Her hands are very soft and smell very calming almost motherlike.
The place is small and there is only street parking but the service is excellent as well as the price. I have been looking for a better-​than-​Ziba brow artist and I think I found her here.

This place is under new management and is now owned by Jasleen. If you dont know her, she used to work at I salon (the 3.99 eyebrow place accross the street)
She now got her own place and she’s just so sweet. Its a small room and she keeps it very clean and tidy. She’s also very kind and welcomes you with a smile. She has a very light, almost feathery way of threading so I experience no pain when I get my eyebrows done. She also does a quick massage over the eyebrow to soothe them. She gave me a stamp card (get 6 services, 7^th free) Did I mention she charges $ 3.99 as well? Yeah. She deserves a good tip.
