Time to step up my fitness game with a triathlon of exercise classes! Barre Vivre held Open Barre: A Fitness Event, which offered free Barre, Yoga & Zumba classes. Complimentary cold-pressed juices were available to refresh between the classes. Lauren, the owner & Alana, my Barre class instructor Alana teaches Barre & kids dance classes at Barre Vivre, along with being a Laker Girl! Being my first Barre class, she made it easy to follow but kept the pace moving & the workout intense. I’m glad to say I handled my inaugural Barre class like a champ! I was pulsing plies & leg lifting like a natural. Only 4 students, all female, were in the class with me. Not feeling awkward, I didn’t mind, as a workout is a workout & I enjoyed doing Barre. Hydration time with some cold-pressed juices Naked Juice Sambazon acai juice Next up, Power yoga w/Alex! An intimate class, with 2 fellow Unilocalers, the class kicked my arse in a good way! With my limited experience with yoga, we did moves that I haven’t done before. I felt the tension release from my body as I held each yoga pose, keeping focus on deep breaths. Upon completion of the class, I felt great, ready to hydrate & set to take on Zumba! Uh oh! The Zumba class was held at 8am. Unfortunately, I couldn’t pull off the fitness trifecta. I don’t know if that was a blessing or a curse, because the barre & yoga classes did do a number on me. The lucky fitness freaks that attended had a chance to win free gifties, compliments of Barre Vivre. Thanks, Barre Vivre, for offering free classes during your Open Barre: A Fitness Event. I had the opportunity to try out Barre, which I immensely enjoyed & I found out how rusty I am with yoga. I had a fun morning & the entire staff were friendly & accommodating.
