Rude service, poor customer service. Food is okay. Had a bad experience. Asked for a different sandwich and got the wrong one. They didn’t even offer to refund, instead responded rudely as if it was my fault!

Had a great burger with good attentive service. Blows away the other options in the area.

Really delicious burgers and a really good selection of sauces! We ordered online, built our on burgers and everything was as we ordered. The sides and especially cheesy taters were great! The staff was really friendly.

I have been there several times with my family. The truffle fries are really great and the sweet potato tater tots are yummy. Love the dipping sauces and my kids love the hot dogs(they are great, I eat the leftovers). I always order the spicy chicken sandwich on pretzel bread and it’s always delicious. Finally a good quick place to go in western arvada!

Okay not the worst place ever! Although It is very over priced. I thought the service was good. But my burger was overcooked. Fries are good! Probably won’t return here better restaurants around.

Dude are you serious? Truffle fries were made with mayo! I’m allergic to mayo! Way to go illegal! Nice change of menu items. Maybe you should make sure in the food business you put the actual items on the menu. Boooooooooo hello Benadryl

Im giving this place 5 stars because it is really good, and they have Ranger IPA. Anyone giving this place less that 4 stars probably holds themselves in way too high of a regard. It was really good.

OK, the burger was pretty good. The fries, too. Not the best, but pretty good. Our waitress was like the silver ball in a pinball machine… unfocused. What should be illegal, here, is the menu. The menu we were handed was void of prices, save for the add ons and toppings. 25 cents for ketchup? So, when our bill came with a $ 40 pricetag for two burgers with fries and 3 beers… we were shocked and disappointed. My fault for not asking… but it felt like bait and switch as the prices were not posted in view through the door we entered and we never saw them until we paid. I felt used

The staff is pretty friendly, but IMO the burgers just aren’t that great. Went in the other day and the place was empty. Food still took a while and I have no idea how a well-done burger can still be that greasy. On to the next.

In my first review I was pretty harsh in my assessment, but it was, initially, warranted in my opinion. But when it comes down to it, this place has a lot going for it. It is mainly unfortunate for this business that they started off really poorly. Their location and inside aesthetics are great, and I keep coming back as I actually like their food. In fact, I give the latter four stars there. It helps that they are close to where I live so I find myself keep coming back, but I really like their burgers and they have a good bar with specials on Sunday’s and Monday’s(all day) with $ 1 house margaritas. Grant it the jars are small, but it won’t be too horrible of a price of you get two or three if your that ‘thirsty’. I do hope that their customer service keeps improving as I believe they’re moving in that direction. Give them a shot and hopefully they’ll perform to your liking both in service and in food enjoyment. They should do well on both fronts. Happy eating!

Really like this place. Gluten free buns are only $ 0.99, chicken sandwich is great, fries are awesome, and the kids package is nice. We’ll be back to try the margs and shakes!

I really like the variety of choices here at Illegal Burger. I like the fresh veggies and the tasty sauces. I even like the drink options available, their mini bar and mini margaritas. However, to be honest the bergers kinda stink. They are not juicy but dry. All the wonderful toppings on the burger can’t mask the poor quality of meat. I really am quite sad because I think they can be a real prize place of they just make a quality burger, juicy and flavorful. However, they always have a good kid package. Monday their house margaritas are a buck, small but totally worth the dollar. The sweet potato fries are great and the dipping sauce is great. I really do like this place but it takes me a while, every once and a long while to come back because the burgers(meat) is so bad. Then I am reminded why I don’t come back for a while.

My husband and I had driven by Illegal Burger a bunch of times. So we decided to go check it out. We ordered our food and sat down and waited for. It didn’t take long for it to come. I ordered the Overcover Cheeseburger and Illegal French fries and my husband ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger. They both looked so good. My burger had bacon on it. When I got it, the bacon wasn’t cooked to how I like it, so I took it off. My husband told Mitzi(she took our order) and she explained that the way they cook the bacon is the way a lot of people like it. I understand that not all people like their bacon crispy. But she offered to make it up and brought out some fresh crispy bacon. Mitzi just made our first visit great. She went that extra mile to us happy. We will definitely be going back.

We arrived at Illegal Burger today and it’s the first time we have eaten there. We were a party of 4 with one child. Everyone was pleased with their food order. I ordered the slammer on a pretzel bun. It came with BBQ sauce, onion strings, thin fries, and bacon. The bacon could’ve been cooked a little better but remained palatable. With that said, my entire meal was delicious. The burger was perfectly cooked and I still wished I had more when I was finished. The burger was impossible to eat by hand, which was fine with me because it tasted soooo good. My only two issues keeping me from giving them 5 stars was the bacon and the layout of the place. The drinks and condiments are at the far end from where the majority seating is.

I was thrilled when I heard they had a black bean burger, so that’s what I was really looking forward to and the burger was fantastic. The patty was cooked perfectly and the avocado and sprouts were a great touch. I was surprised that it was more expensive than some of the other burgers, but overall it was worth it. The part that really surprised me was the french fries. We ordered both the sweet potato fries and the regular french fries. The sweet potato fries were super burned and the regular fries were extremely greasy. I’ll probably be back for the burger, but I hope they step their french fry game up.

My meal was cold. I ordered grilled mushrooms and they put a ton of grilled onions instead. Too much onions. Especially since I didn’t order it. The Unilocal app says it accepts payments from EAT24. I paid through that. Then when I got there they said that they don’t accept payments through EAT24 and charged me again. Now I have two charges for a really crappy meal. Hopefully I get my money back.

First, I read the consumer alert that they were buying reviews. Well, they are«illegal» burger. Then I read the early reviews and everyone dinged their service. Next, I was thinking they were a new business to the area and maybe hired bad help.(Or they don’t know how to train). I don’t like the idea of them buying favorable reviews but I already ordered my food and I figured trying for myself was the only way for me to judge. My husband and I ordered ‘to go’. So i splurged tonight… chocolate shake and mushroom Swiss burger on wheat. We shared an order of fries. $ 4 shake was just OK. Seemed small for the price. It was pretty though. They first brought it in a glass with whipped cream piled on top. Then I had to tell her it was ‘to go’. So she turned abruptly and left. No sorry, I’ll be back, just a swift turn and gone. Burger was ok. Not bad/not great. Onions tasted a little weird and I picked them off. Burger was cooked well and they had plenary of mushrooms. Wheat roll was generic. Fries were good. We got the shoestring, I forget the name. We shared an order and that was fine. But I don’t eat a lot of fries.(And I had the shake!)

The first went I had a «create you own» burger which quickly became expensive when add one were 99 cents each. That even included grilled onions. The burger tasted like it was frozen. I ordered the truffle fries which were good I decided to give it another try. I ordered a BBQ type burger which was good, but the cheese tatars were horrible. It was like mash potatoes with breading around it with a Thousand Island dipping sauce Not again

This was about my 5th visit and pretty close to my home and now I usually try other burger spots. I have written politely to Management several times but they never respond. I truly think they simply don’t care what their customers have to say. I think the true disappointment here is not necessarily the quality but more in the size of the burger patty. After asking they say they use a 5 oz. patty. Most reputable burger places use 6 – 7 oz. So tasting the meat is the biggest challenge. The bun and toppings are really very fresh but that’s what you’ll taste more than the patty itself. So in hindsight you’re not really getting the value for what you pay for. The onion petals were pretty good though.

Meh. It wants to be Smashburger and it isn’t even close. The area is in such dire need of decent eating establishments that hopefully this place gets its act together, but it was a pretty underwhelming experience, overall. I ordered The Slinger(Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, fried string onions and BBQ sauce) on a pretzel bun and was giddy with anticipation because I love love love pretzel rolls. What they brought me certainly looked like a pretzel roll, but tasted nothing like any pretzel roll I’ve ever had. It was bone dry and mealy, and had no pretzel flavor to it whatsoever. The burger was a burger, nothing special. Nothing wrong with it, per se, but nothing memorable about it, either. I liked the options of dipping sauces, but I apparently didn’t choose very well; the chipotle ranch was way too mild and the spicy ketchup wasn’t spicy at all. I am living under the hope that I got a bad batch of buns and will try again, but I’m a little leery…
