Great Kids’ Birthday Party! We had a party for our newly 6 year old daughter and 15 friends. The facility is roomy and nice. The kids had a blast. The young women who worked with them were friendly and great at managing the large group. It was kind of nice that parents had an area to themselves while the kids did their experiments in the lab(if if realized that I would have had some coffee and snack for the parents). The kids remained easily visible through the windows. Our party made bouncy balls and slime and got to take them home. In the party room the glow board was a huge hit as was mixing their own drinks. Best of all — Virtually no clean up!

We had our seven year old daughter’s birthday party here and it was fantastic! She only wanted to invite girls and we wanted something different than the typical bounce house or Chuck E Cheese party and this was perfect. The girls loved all of the glow experiments and Miss Lisa was wonderful with keeping them entertained! We will certainly be coming back for more fun!

Yeah!!! What a gem for families who want kids to love science from an early age. My daughter is doing 3 half-day camps during her winter break. She is in kindergarten and I just love that she came home excited to tell me about the experiments they did(making a volcano and ice cream when learning about fire and ice)

My daughter has been to countless camps and this one is the best by far. The lessons are well planned out with fun hands on activities. The people are friendly and professional. I just wish my daughter was younger so she could take more classes!

We had a party at Curiosity Zone this past weekend and were very pleased with the everything! The young ladies who ran the party itself were patient and involved — quite a task considering the age and number of kids :) You will definitely be getting our business again! Several attending parents/kids had never been either and also offered positive feedback.

Okay I really wanted to like this place. I’ve actually heard good things about it, but I went for a birthday party today and I thought it was such a lame party. The kids sat the whole time(what kind of birthday party is that?!) and they required kids to wear lab coats which they didn’t even have enough of the right 5⁄6 size. Some 6 year olds had to wear a size 2 or 8. Considering that was the main age group, I thought that was just not thought out. Next, after making their two projects(bouncy ball and goo), the kids were required to wash their hands. NONE of the kids could even reach the sinks. There were 2 sinks for 17 kids and it wasted about 10 minutes trying to get everyone to wash their hands with 2 assistants(one was not even there while washing hands). Luckily, I stayed with my kids and picked them up to wash their hands. There were only 2 party people for that many kids which led to a lot of waiting — a TON of waiting. I would never have a party there! The kids didn’t even have any time to run around and mingle or even play. It was all sitting.

Needed to buy a last minute gift for my niece. Store hours were clearly listed on the door as closing at 530 on a Friday. I arrived at 445 and they had the closed sign up and there were two women still inside. I called the phone number and one picked up. I asked why they closed early and she abruptly said their closing time changes each day despite the fact their hours are clearly posted on their door. I said I needed help with a last minute gift and rudely said no and hung up on me. Hopefully she is nicer to the kids. Won’t be coming back to this place again whether during open or closed hours.

A fun place for a birthday party. The events were we organized and the kids had a great time here. We are hoping to try out some of the summer camps. Very friendly staff and event workers. A great store.

Great place to intrioduce the world of science… BUT it could use a DEEP cleaning. The lab coats the kids put on were filthy and the carpet in the lab was dingy and heavily soiled. I would give it a five stars rating… but the lab coats were a big factor for me. Please clean them.

Really an amazing place. We take our 3 and 5 year old boys there once/week. They are always excited to go and come home bubbling with stories about new animals and far away places. They seem to thread learning and fun together in a truly innovative way. Highly recommend.

This place is fantastic and a delightful find; I am envious of my kids for being able to grow up with this. We’re combining the 5:00 class with a 6:00JW Tumbles class; it’s a very convenient routine(JW Tumbles is on the other side of Safeway). The only other thing I’d say is that they’re surprisingly generous with the free materials they hand out for the classes; it seems like we get some of the overstock inventory from the store, which is great.(Examples: little stuffed apes, melissa and doug puzzles, gear sets, etc.)

My daughter had her 6th birthday party here last week and she and her friends had a blast! Her 4 year old sister came along with another 4 year old friend and I was worried they wouldn’t have fun. I was so wrong. They had just as many«wows» and smiles on their face and they asked just as many questions as the 6 year olds. All of the kids loved seeing the explosions and they loved the shadow wall! The next week I was volunteering at my daughter’s school and two of her friends that attended the party came up to me and said, «we had a such a great time at the science party on Sunday!» That goes a long way coming from a 6 year old! I only wish I had some place like this when I was a little girl. I highly recommend this wonderful place!

I had my son’s 4 year old birthday party here. I was a little worried about it not being age appropriate for 3 and 4 year olds but I was totally wrong. They all had a blast! One of the best parties I’ve been to. I recommend.

My son went to a 5-year old’s party here today. It was a slime party where they made bouncy balls using borax & glue; some slimey goo to play with; and then some substance that was liquid and moldable, but as soon as you stopped molding, it turned to goo again. So cool! There were secret doors and tunnels into the different party rooms. They also have a Shadow Board that the kids get to make their shadows on a glow in the dark board. All around good time for the kids! Plus, the little shop out front had some neat toys. Ones you don’t find at Toys R Us. Great place for your budding scientist! :)

My kid has had birthday parties, plus camps and classes, at Curiosity Zone for the past 3 years, and it has kept her very, very entertained(and educated) from age 6 to age 9 — she said that this year’s summer camp was one of the best camps she’s attended. Also, kids and parents who attended her birthday party here last year said it was well worth the drive from Arlington and Maryland. I highly recommend this place for all your kid-based needs! Great presents available here, too.

This place is fantastic! It’s the kind of place I wish had been around when I was a kid! The first thing that hits you when you walk in the Curiosity Zone is that everything is kid sized. The doors, the chairs, the big long tables, everything has been designed with kids in mind and the colors are so bright and vibrant! The classrooms are glassed in so parents can stay and watch if they like, this also helps when it’s time to go home. What hits you next are the sounds of kids squealing, singing and cheering over … science! My science classes in school were dreadful and I was lucky if I stayed awake through attendance. These kids were«oohing» and«aahing» over an experiment involving liquids and solids! How do you do that?! The teachers seemed wonderful, sing-songy and just as enthusiastic as the kids were about the experiments. The woman at the front desk was wonderful and before she could get my friend’s child out of class he came running out of the classroom brimming with information about how to make«guk» at home and how he knew the secret recipe and what happens when you dissolve a solid in to a liquid. Seriously, the kid was high on science! They also, apparently, do summer camps and birthday parties. If the Curiosity Zone was around when I was a kid I would have lived there! The Curiosity Zone gets an all caps FIVESTARS!
