Customer service is fine. The hotel needs to be renovated. They only have one elevator that is very small. I felt the room we were assigned, if looked at under a blue light would display the disgusting germs left from previous guest. Very basic place that doesn’t off anything. They advise there are vending machines on certain floors both they have been removed. They need to update information in there welcome guide located in your room. Smoke-free was mentioned in the hotels introduction but before you enter the building you have guest smoking near the entrance. A sign located on entrance door indicating smoking areas.

We stopped there for one night. The main appeal was that they accepted animals and we were traveling with our 2 dogs. The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean if a little small. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I’ve stayed at a couple different Comfort Suites across the Southeast, including Tucker GA and Kenner LA, but this one is my least favorite. 1) Worst customer service 2) Smallest rooms 3) No hot tub or dry sauna They did have laundry service which was helpful. They only have one washer/dryer. It wasn’t that noisy, even though my room was DIRECTLY next to the elevator. The room was clean. There were only a couple hairs in the bathtub. Gross, I know. You’d be surprised how many hotels can’t get that damn tub spotless. As much as I’ve travelled, I’ve learned to have a threshold for this problem. Despite these upsides, which is a stretch, the three above mentioned problems overshadowed them, especially the customer service. So let’s start with that. I’ve never, in the 200+ hotel experiences of my past three years, experienced such an incompetent, from-the-sticks receptionist like this one. Her name is Tammy. Famous quotes: «We have lots and lots of dirty rooms.» «None of the rooms are available.» «I’ve never actually been in one of the rooms.» «I’ve been here for 6 years.» «Don’t be fooled by his smile.» She was referring to me in that quote. «You need quarters AGAIN?» That was in reference to the laundry. If TV shows like Real Housewives of *insert city name here* excite you, then you’ll love it here. — — — — — — — — — — – I had to WAIT a whole hour to check in. I’ve never had to do this before. They need to either get their housekeeping department in order, change the checkin/checkout times or both, stop allowing Priceline guests to select their room type on the website or some combination. I had a schedule and she made me late for my meeting by half an hour. How embarrassing! She was just as nice as she could be when she knew she screwed up, but when I was still pissed off, and rightfully so, her attitude quickly and permanently changed, making the rest of my four night stay COMPLETELYAWKWARD. Evil stares, pissy attitudes and foul tone became the standard, even AFTER I tried to be the better person and said, «Sorry we didn’t get off to a good start.» She wasn’t having it — complete bitch from that point onward. The rooms are really SMALL for a ‘suite.’ They’re the same size as a standard room, especially on the 5th floor. The other Comfort Suites I stayed at were more spacious, newer and nicer looking. This Comfort Suites looks really old, like it was built in the 60s, appearing like a psych ward from the outside. Waiting on the elevator was ridiculous. The other Comfort Suites I’ve been to were a lot nicer, especially the location in Kenner LA, which is the airport area near New Orleans. I would highly recommend a three star in the Asheville area if you’re willing to pay another $ 10 – 20 a night. I think it’s worth the extra though, unless the location is far off. I recommend the Holiday Inn on Tunnel Road(3 stars), if their rates aren’t too ridiculous. Check out my other review for that. I don’t recommend the Guesthouse Inn near Biltmore Estates(also 2.5 stars). The bathtub was so filthy there was mold all in the lining and I couldn’t bathe. The rooms are dormitory small, and mine was adjoined so you could hear everything. That is the second 2.5 star location I’ve tried, and both were a fail. I would have given this location two stars if it had not been for all the drama, and I would have been willing to return next time but will opt to go out of my way for the three star instead, even if it’s not the best location.

Pros: Bed comfy. Room clean. Staff friendly. Cons: one slow elevator for a fairly large place means a lot of wait time. A lot of VERY loud people or very thins walls. You do get a discount at the very good steak restaurant across the street.

Room was not clean, sheets got what it look like blood stains and other brownish smear around it(don’t even want to think what it was). Hair in the tub. Nobody at front desk when we got there. Place look bit up and outdated. Only reason for the 2 stars is because the housekeeping lady came quickly and apologize even though it was not her fault.

Excellent value for the price. Booked through Priceline for a family road trip to Atlanta, GA, with my wife and our three little ones. The double-bed guest room perfectly fits my family, thanks to the sofa bed! Location is very good with a bunch of fast food restaurants nearby, Big K-mart, and the Stone Ridge Tavern, all within walking distance. Check-in was smooth & quick. The young lady(can’t remember her name, sorry!) was so welcoming & professional. Breakfast was great, too. The only downsides are: only one elevator to serve the whole building, and only one washer-and-dryer combo for guests use. Other than that, it’s an excellent hotel with great value for families.

Spent 4 nights here this past week. Service at front desk was great, very nice and accommodating staff. Our first room was on the third floor across from the elevator, overlooking the parking lot and drive-up canopy. Not very relaxing, so we moved the next night to a 5th floor whirlpool suite. Much better. Sunny, good view of the mountains in the distance, and seemingly better wi-fi signal. Downside is both rooms have no vent in the bathroom which makes the rooms very humid after a shower, and no way to open the windows! Bed was comfortable, hot tub was big and relaxing, and fridge and microwave were nice to have. Breakfast was ok, and elevator was slow and down one of the days. There was also an issue with a cable upgrade that I think could’ve been handled better(a guy had to go room to room with a remote to add channels), but that was an isolated incident. Overall, pretty nice and decent for a stay, about 7 miles from downtown. Might consider again.

I got a room here via Hotwire for Labor Day weekend at $ 70/night. When you use Hotwire you know you are gambling; sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t. This time was not a win. The room is mediocre at best, lightbulbs out, visible water leak stains, cobwebs, and a dirty washcloth left hanging with our shower curtain. The key cards quit working after literally EVERY use, necessitating repeated visits to the often busy front desk. The rear entrance door is locked at 21:00 and remains locked since the card reader is broken. The blackout curtains work well but there are no sheers, so if you want any natural light you have a fabulous view into your room if you are overlooking the parking lot. The wifi signal was intermittent and weak as well. On the plus side, there was a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The AC worked well, as did the iron, and there was plenty of hot water with good pressure in the shower. In short I would say this is a minimally acceptable hotel for a Hotwire/Priceline deal, but never worthy of full-price. If you are looking for a hotel in Asheville, I would absolutely recommend the Holiday Inn & Suites at 42 Tunnel Rd.

Room was clean and comfortable, but unspectacular. Staff was pleasant and helpful with check-in and recommending local restaurants and activities. Staff informed us that guests could use a local fitness facility as well as the one located on site. They said the local facility opened at noon on Sundays. Went to the local facility to find out they recently became a 24⁄7 operation and no longer were open to hotel guests on Sundays. Make sure you check with the front for the new operating hours. Made use of the pool on one of the first warm days inn Asheville. The heated pool was a comfortable temperature. The pool area gets a lot of noise from traffic on the adjacent road.

Nice hotel in this area. Best bed I’ve slept on at a hotel in a long time! The suites are nice & roomy. 5th floor is great… Nice view of mountains to the north. The breakfast is free, but good luck finding a seat! Wish there was more than one elevator. Location is near some good food places(not the seafood place next door… Yuck!) Overall pretty nice hotel, nice staff.
