As a recent transplant to NC I was told that Haverty’s was the place to buy furniture. They weren’t wrong! The showroom is spectacular, easy to maneuver through and you are greeted with a smile by everyone. My sales rep, Judy, was one of the most helpful and genuinely compassionate people I’ve met. She was understanding of my situation that I wanted nice, but not extremely expensive, pieces and never tried to show me the same things for higher prices. She was patient, professional and courteous the whole time I was there. Because I have serious back issues she arranged for a chair to be delivered early and let me leave with a lamp AND bulbs because I had no light in my bedroom. When the day of delivery arrived I was shocked! 80% of my furniture came! I was only supposed to get 1 chair! The deliveryman, Adam, was friendly, quick and very capable and they showed up exactly on time. I can’t wait till my 2 final pieces arrive and since I still need more, Judy checked the inventory and saw they weren’t in stock so she told me she would call me ASAP and hold them for me. This had to be THE best experience I’ve had under quite stressful circumstances and as one of the first people I met in Asheville it was a true Southern welcome. I would recommend this place because there really is something for everyone.

I’ve been a Haverty’s shopper since college, and I’m always pleased with the pieces I buy, so this review is more about the specific location, rather than the quality of the furniture: that’s a no-​brainer.
This location has some of the nicest staff I have met. They are extremely helpful, and by the end of it all, I felt like family. I ran in a few times to match fabrics, take pictures, ask questions, change delivery details and every time, they were helpful and went above and beyond. After all was said and done, and my furniture was delivered, I received a follow up call and an email just to check in and make sure everything went smoothly. It’s quite likely that this has happened when I’ve ordered from other locations, but it was obviously not that memorable. This location was more than memorable. Now that I’m in Atlanta, I will just have to make the drive to visit my Asheville Haverty’s family. It’s well worth it.
