This store is a gem! So glad that Rebecca continues the legacy. Service is exceptional and the fabrics beautiful. With so few brick and morter shops, we are fortunate that this one exists.

This is the first review i have ever written… I felt compelled to share my experience because i found it so unbelievable. I brought in a pair of jeans to simply be hemmed; they were supposed to be ready in a few days… well, after many phone calls to the store to find out when my pants would be ready i got a call back only to tell me they still were not ready. This was 5 weeks after i dropped them off! Finally, 7 ½ weeks later, my jeans were ready for pick up and it cost $ 20. I asked for the original hem… Nope, it looked terrible. EEEK So, be warned… maybe it is a great fabric store but i will NEVER go there again!

Love to shop at this wonderful fabric store. The staff is so helpful and generous with their time. They know their machines, fabrics and notions well, so a stop to shop there is also a wonderful learning experience. A treasure of a shop!

I am from Charlotte, so it’s probably not fair to compare this small, independent fabric store to the monsters I find at home. My mom is a quilter and saw this advertised in one of the touristy books she had, so after a bust trying to find a place to park in downtown Asheville, I stopped by this cute little house so she could see if she saw anything she needed. Mom did comment that one of the cotton fabrics that she saw was top of the line, but it also came with top of the line prices. The batiks they carried were lovely($ 13 yd). I think mom is just spoiled with the quilt shops at home, but that certainly doesn’t detract from what this store has to offer. Lovely patterns in several fabrics, if you are a sewer in Asheville, I would definitely stop by to check it out.

This is a wonderful little independently run fabric store. As a small store you won’t find a zillion different options but what they do have is excellent, particularly their large selection of hand painted fabrics from Indonesia. Also of note, the service is very friendly and helpful with just the right amount of involvement in your search. If you want a lot of attention they will give it to you, if you’d rather just ask for a few prices and otherwise be left alone you can have that service, too. If you’re looking for fabric in Asheville definitely stop here first.
