Store full of useless crap… and the two woman working there did not say a word when we walked in. Since there was no one else in there your would think to say hello to you only possible patron. Guess not. And we walked out!

This store is wonderful! They have all sorts of nature-​related products on a variety of topics. The owners are very nice too, and they have the sweetest, friendliest pup who happened to be there when I visited. If I lived in the area, this would be a frequent stop for me!

Three of us have ducked into this cool shop several times over the years. We’ve made one or two small purchases. The staircase is a nice piece of work. Visit to check that out, along with the books, binoculars, and telescopes.

While wandering around Historic Biltmore Village, cross the busy street over to this neat little shop — the locals will stop and let you cross, but be wary of the out-​of-​towners. The shop has a wide variety of books, guides, and hiking maps that would thrill Henry David Thoreau were he alive today. Toys, games, and books designed to introduce children to the natural world abound. There is a wide variety of kits and tools for the study of geology, flora and fauna all in an artist’s gallery featuring the natural world. This is a great place to start your exploration of the trails and natural beauty that surrounds Asheville and its environs.
