Definitely not recommended for carpeting. My wife had our family room carpeted by this Home Depot in November 2015. The next day we couldn’t believe what we were seeing… Not being carpet experts we didn’t realize that they had planned to use so many scraps of carpet to piece-meal the installation together. The result was 5 different pieces of carpet being glued together in the 7×3 for focal point area of the room in front of our fire place. And apparently when they did this layout they also planned to lay several of the seams running against the grain of the larger sections making the seams very visible, again in the focal point of the room. Our first call to the installer 3rd party ended up with an assurance that Home Depot always stands behind their carpet and will ensure their customers are happy, even if it means replacing that entire section of the carpet… Error, maybe not so much… Fast forward three months to January 2016 and we are now dozens of phone calls and voice mails in to 3 different people, including the the 3rd party installation company, store customer service and the store manager who incidentally kept reminding us of how busy he is at the store… and still we have no hope of resolution. The 3rd party installation company and the store agree that the different 3rd party company who measured and created the layout did a bad job. The installers tried to repair the 6 seams in this small area to no avail… Now we’ve been relegated to a far off 1 – 800 number for«customer support»… In the hopes that we will go away… Not being in the carpet business we thought we could trust«the experts at Home Depot» in Fairview… It looks like we were wrong and we’re now dealing with the run around to prove it. Do yourself a favor and learn from our mistake, go somewhere other than here for your carpet. I’ll post pictures if possible after this review so you can see Home Depots idea of a good carpet layout for your self. FYI for full disclosure I’ve traced the multiple seams in the carpet with my finger because it was dark at the time of the photo. Our issue isn’t that there are seams… Just that the design and layout was unprofessional and has ruined this section of the installation.

I bought home depots best Vinyl Siding with insulation attached and new Soffit two years ago. The job took four months with multiple redos and their installer turned out to be a convicted felon who I now have three felony charges against for theft. Since the install the Siding has been coming loose. Currently 5 feet of soffit is falling down. The warranty service is poor, they make you wait for weeks for service, and when they came the last time to fix loose Siding when I was gone, they just pushed it back in place with no screws or nails to hold it in place leaving me to fix it myself. The Siding is high quality.

I purchased a pressure washer here a few months ago. I’ve been in three times over the last 3 months trying to get them to resolve the issue. It broke the first time I used it… This last time I was told they were going to charge me and it would be 4 – 6 weeks to repair just the wand. The staff didn’t want to take care of me or the issue. The folks in the service/rental area were condescending and rude. I was there to look at buying a new fridge and a ladder, but after they treated me like a nuisance I left. I live less than 5 minutes from this location, but will probably never return. I guess Lowes will now be my new hardware store.

I went there to pick up some framing lumber. They had a good selection of products, helpful staff, and the store was very clean.

This is your typical box store home improvement shop that is placing all the mom & pop stores out of business. Having said that I have yet to have a bad customer service experience at this store. The staff is always helpful and provides good advice with alternative solutions. The store is generally well organized and clean with signage around to display what is on the isles. I wish the mom & pop places were closer to where I lived, provided better pricing, etc as I always support the local business if I can.

Horrible customer service, especially in the lumber department. Every time I am in there I am ignored and when I finally get help I get rolling eyes and annoyance attitude. Maybe its because Im female and look younger then I am but regardless, customer service is very important and everyone should be treated equally.

I did expect the Asheville HD to have a smaller(meager) selection compared to my former modest neighborhood in So California. The staff was pleasant but it will probably not be back for more than lightbulbs.
