Wanted to try someplace new but were disappointed. The bar area was happening but besides the drinks the food was lacking. About 1⁄3 of the beers on tap were not available. Portions were small and the meat was not cook to desired temperature. Husband ordered a steak tip and haddock combo which came out with 2 small steak tips. Kids meal(chicken fingers) was decent. I ordered a burger special which was very small. The pickle spear was a pickle stacker from the jar. I’d only recommend it if you were looking for a small town bar atmosphere.

Was hoping some of the better reviews were true. Unfortunately Kelly’s is not the local bar spot we desperately need. Nachos were stale and chili was out of a can and way too sweet. Bright spot was bartender who saved the day as the server was lacking experience and basic knowledge of the menu. Poor guy behind me had to explain what red sauce on parmigiano was. On the bright side my son can use the medium burger for a hockey puck. It is not edible.

So, they continue to improve. Built a nice covering for their outdoor seating. I am disappointed they are now closed for Lunch. They open about 4:30pm or something. I don’t make it there for dinner very often, but when I am in the market for a good local locale that is where I end up. :)

Cute place. Waitress was nice and the bartender was very friendly and seemed to enjoy her job. Food was ok. I do plan on going back to try a few more things. Not ready to write it off yet. I think it’s worth another try!

We will not be getting food from here again. We ordered to go and were given the wrong order so we had to drive back to get our order. By this time the fries were soggy. The pastrami sandwich had a very small amount of pastrami. Overall a negative experience.

Kellys goes above and beyond to add a nice family style restaurant to the area. Friendly atmosphere, great staff. The food is top notch prepared in a timely manner. The bar is very acomidating and there are plenty of tv’s in that area to catch all the sports and news. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing time and a fabulous meal. Keep it up guys!

Sadly, Kelly’s just never improved after they opened. In fact, they got worse. The last few times we ate there it was just bad experience over bad experience.(Horrible service, cold and/or wrong food, just bad.) It’s too bad because we could really use another good restaurant in Ashland.

I love the atmosphere and the food here at Kelly’s. I come in a lot, and always try to get something new. I HATE tomatoes more than anything on earth, and they’ve always been able to accommodate my obnoxiousness in changing items to my liking. They are constantly updating the beers, which has forced me to try some new things and the owners are very pleasant and always around which shows how much they care. It’s not as busy as it should be, I think it’s still a bit of a hidden gem!

We went into Kelly’s tonight to get out of the house because of the snow. Upon entering, we were greeted by a bartender noticeably upset that he was still getting customers. He let us know he could give us «one drink, I guess» and throughout that one drink made it clear that he wanted to go home early. It was around 930P when we arrived. There were two other groups at the bar and he was making everyone feel equally uncomfortable. As we were settling the bill, he made it clear that this was a restaurant NOT a pub and if we wanted to come back, it should be earlier in the night. Terrible service for an establishment we heard had great beer and good food. Next time, we will go straight to Ashland Ale House.

Great local spot. Friendly service, good beer selection, and some of the best buffalo chicken nachos I’ve ever had. The bar areas has plenty of big screen tvs for all the sports action you want. Great cocktail menu with cool«hard beer» options which are very interesting. All and all a great hang out to grab a beer or dinner.

Just had another burger and the best onion rings! Hubby and I were here last week and both has the Santa Fe salad that did not disappoint! We both enjoyed our salad sang wine. Oh, the beer on tap changes, tonight I am enjoying a Grey Lady from Nantucket — good enough to have another LOL!

This place is great! I am from Chicago and just moved in the area so we have been looking for a good bar in the area. We’ve been to a few, but this is definitely our favorite! A big menu with many options, great atmosphere with a patio area, and great(well-priced) food! So happy we have a good restaurant/bar within walking distance!

The worst Nacho’s I’ve ever had. Almost like a 14yr old made them. Tortilla chips with melted cheese and tomato’s. Nothing else. Terrible. I ordered a pizza after though, and it was quite tasty. Prices are high and they don’t seem to be doing much to make it a place to go to consistently. They need more beer specials, and or burger specials. Ashland has a farmers market across the street on Saturdays. This would be a great way to show off the place with ½ priced burgers, Bloody Mary drink specials. Just a thought!

We’ve been here a couple of times, not sitting in the dining room though because it looks like something out of a bad nursing home! But the bar area is fun and they have a patio with a few tables to sit outside which is a huge plus since we love doing that! The food is decent, reasonably priced, and the service has always been good to us. other than their dining room, which can be easily avoided, no complaints!

I go to Kelly’s frequently and think the food is better than average for the area. It tastes good, appears to be fresh. Soup tastes like it is made from scratch. Fresh veggies. I’ve had consistently good meals there. Wait staff are very pleasant. It’s a cute place and I hope they make it!

Im giving this place 2 stars just because the food wasn’t as horrible as the service! I sat at the bar and was greeted promptly… that was about the only thing they did promptly! I ordered a beer and was offered a «cup», not a frosty glass, a «cup»! I ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich… no issues there… it was very tasty! My issue is when the sandwich came I had no utensils or napkins. When I asked for napkins the bartender slapped a stack of beverage napkins on the bar! I finished my sandwich and asked for the check! It took the bartender about 5 minutes and when it came there was an upcharge for French fries! So I asked to see the menu and the sandwich included a choice of a side… not an additional charge for a side! So I questioned the charge and the bartender informed me that they do charge for the side. I looked over the menu and no where on there did it say there was a charge for sides! Are they trying to be a la carte? My sandwich and a budlight came out to $ 14 and change! Not too bad! But who trained this staff… it was like they were working in food service for the first time! It going to be a while before I go back!

We walked into Kelly’s on a bitter cold Saturday a little 7 pm, after a stormy end of week and were greeted promptly. Our host, who turned out to be our waiter, James asked us if we wanted a table in the bar area or the dining room. We chose the DR. There were 2 other tables who finished and left by 8, leaving us the only ones. We ordered drinks which were delivered correctly and promptly. We started with traditional calamari which were well fried and served with a delicious marinara sauce. Next DC ordered a Rachel which was fine, with well coated and fried onion rings. I had a burger special topped with Swiss, bacon, onion rings and a fried egg. The tasty beef in the burger came med rare as requested, the egg over hard, ordered over medium. The onion rings were MIA, but they brought a side quickly. Meanwhile I munched on the tasty side Caesar served on the same plate. The burger roll was a fresh baked frozen pre-fab roll. I personally prefer a softer roll for my burger, but all-in-all it was a very good burger. Total with a beer and a glass of wine @ $ 46.00 We’ll be back.

Happy to have a new Bar in Ashland Center. My friends and I liked to visit this place after volleyball when it was Trackside. We liked the bar and the food was good. The new version, Kelly’s picks up where Trackside left off. I have not eaten in the dining room so this review is for the Bar and food. The décor has changed little since it’s previous incarnation, but that’s okay because the former owners had done a nice job sprucing up the place. I like the look of open beams, rich wood trim, and natural distressed wood floor. Plenty of HDTVs to watch the games. We sat ourselves at a four-top in the bar. The bartender quickly came out to take our drink orders and get us menus. Our drinks were reasonably priced, a bit less expensive than another place nearby, around what you would expect. I was happy with the selection of beers on tap. The menu looked good — lot’s of things I would like to try, but was not super hungry on this visit. We shared the potato skin app, which were well made. They were crispy, cheesy and not too thick. Next I tried the Southwest chicken salad. This was winner for me. The salad had a nice crunch to it and the chicken had a nice southwest spice to it. Would liked it to have had its own dressing, like a sw ranch, but had to go with one of their available dressings. Chose the Honey Mustard Vinaigrette which worked fine. It was a large salad and I ended up taking half home for lunch the next day. I would like to see this place do well. I look forward to going back soon and trying something new off the menu.

The food was good, but everything else was, in a word, strange. First, the food. We got the toasted ravioli appetizer. It seemed like they were frozen, but they weren’t awful. The marinara sauce was a little too sweet though. I ordered the fish and chips and my sister ordered pasta alfredo. I know, fish and chips isn’t very Italian, but then neither was most of the food on the menu. The fish was actually really nicely done, but the fries tasted frozen. I had to ask the waiter for ketchup and the fish didn’t come with any tarter sauce. Strange… My sister ordered the pasta alfredo and naturally they asked what type of pasta she wanted. They only have three. Linguine, and two others that I can’t remember, but not spaghetti or fettucine… Strange… The waiter was never there when we needed him and while we were waiting for the appetizer he would pop up and blame the machine. Before either of us was done eating he popped up again with a dessert plate asking if we would like any. My sister pointed out after that generally you would wait until after everyone is done eating. We asked for the bill and after I put my card in our waiter very leisurely cleaned the table behind us before finally taking the bill. When we were leaving I said«Ughhhh» as I walked out because I was full and a woman asked«Is that ‘Ugh gross’ or ‘Ugh I’m stuffed’?» Both ma’am.
