Delicious espresso, ice cream to die for and the staff are sweet. Warm and homey feel.

Each and every time I visit the roasting co, the sound of the door opening brings me nostalgic memories of sweet company and tasty coffee. I would consider myself a coffee snob and the roasting co exceeds my expectations. I love the environment and the staff is stupendous. I highly recommend this place to fellow coffee lovers.

We stop in Ashland several times a year, usually for coffee. We have been to several outstanding coffee shops over the years. We stopped at Noble, only to find they had just closed for the day. So, we thought we’d give Rogue a try. I like good coffee… no flavors or sprinkles… just a good latte or espresso. I have to say it was one of the worst lattes I have had of late. From the reviews, it looks like they probably have good pastries, but not good coffee. If you want good coffee go to Case or Noble.

The one thing you will not find for Ashland is discounts. I always check Groupon, SocialLiving, American Airlines dinning and there might have been one discount a few years ago. Only 1 or maybe 2 restaurants use OpenTable for reservations. Nevertheless, I check all these sites before I leave for Ashland. I was very pleased that there was a Groupon for Rogue Valley Roasting Co. It was a good move on their part; it is off the main street and might go unnoticed to many out-of-town visitors, I never saw it and I do wander off mains streets. I had a slice of quiche and went all out and had an espresso shake with espresso chip ice cream both were tasty. Linda had a warm wrap. We share a muffin. We were both to full to have dinner. I will be back next year.

Average coffee but TERRIBLE fly problem. Unsure if they have ever cleaned this place, as you cannot move without having a fly land on you. Yuck. Also the prices have gone up over the years and they no longer carry bagels.

Perfect place to relax on Sat. morning and have a smooth cappuccino. Parking is easy. Really loved being able to sit outside on the front porch and enjoy a delicious mocha.

Small neighborhood place– good fruit pastries and quiche. Atmosphere is a little bit more relaxed– so a better place to read and get some things done(i.e. if you want to dodge the hordes of children and families on vacation at Mix). The Mexican Mocha is all right by me!

I like this little place. The beans were VERY fresh and perfectly stored. The espresso was poured promptly and correctly and the food we tasted was very good. The guy with the ponytail behind the counter was annoying in a sexist sort of way, but I live in reality and realize that not every place is going to treat everyone with equality. With coffee this good, it was easy enough to ignore. tl;dr Good place to go if you need a cup in a hurry. They don’t do Chemex pour overs, but their espresso is insanely good.

Best coffee, and espresso in town. Always friendly service, very quick. I love coming here in the morning and getting an americano with almond milk. I love that they have multiple non-dairy options for creamers. They have some amazing pastries, ice cream and other random treats. This place is so good that they are often very busy. Id like to see them in a larger space it seems like more people go here then Starbucks(as they should)

This is a fantastic neighborhood coffee shop; a great place for a date, meeting, or small group. Their drinks are tasty and served by a great crew. My choice for coffee when in Ashland!

Nice, homey place near the cemetrary. A little cheaper than other places in town, and larger cappuchinos. Maybe not as precious? And easier street parking

We needed caffeine. Starbucks was busy. We came here. And I’m so very happy we did! On our first visit I got the butterscotch mocha and the hubs got the regular coffee. Both were great… mine was better, because butterscotch. On our second trip we both got butterscotch mochas. :) And we got the hazelnut chocolate crescent as well as the ham & cheese turnover. Both very good(note: the outside edge of the crescent has that burnt chocolate taste… the inside parts are awesome). Great environment — loved the front porch. Nice baristas. Good coffee. This would be my go to place if I lived in Ashland.

Just try the hot chocolate So, RVR Co makes the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. You can watch as they slowly melt Guittard chocolate chips into a heavenly chocolate paste, then mix in the milk. It makes one tear up and look for people to hug. Combine it with one of their bear claws and I think it legally counts as therapy certified by workplace EAP programs. Worth every penny. Owner family are great people, as well.

In Ashland, there is a coffee house for every occasion and mood. If you want to see-and-be-seen and enjoy boutique coffee from a local roaster, then try Noble Coffee. If you need to have your Stumptown fix, then try Mix. Feeling alternative? Try Evo’s Java House. But if you are looking for a neighborhood coffee shop run by college kids, then Rogue Valley is an excellent choice. It was like walking back in time to my old college days. The environment is dated, but in a very pleasant way. Drinks are well made and the environment is totally chill. A bit of a walk from downtown, but what a lovely place to stroll.
