Visited the inn last week while checking out SOU. Don and Deanna are terrific hosts and what is best is that they open their living room and library to all guests. Beautiful yard and wonderful room. And if by some chance, you are a closet Trekkie, you are in for a real treat!

Of all the b & b’s my husband and I ever stayed at in the US and England, we award the Romeo Inn in Ashland, Oregon, our highest grade. We spend a week every year in Ashland to attend plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and from our first stay at the Romeo Inn in 2000, we’ve loved the place — not only the delightful innkeepers, Deana and Don Politis, but also Buster, the gentlemanly(outdoor) orange cat. Deana and Don prepare and serve delicious home-made breakfasts — starting with a yummy smoothie, then a mix of fresh fruit, a muffin or a scone, and a unique main course that has never failed to register tops on the«delicious» scale. Deana will also accommodate special diet requests — she and Don have even remembered, year after year, to leave the grapes out of my fruit bowl. The accommodations are as lovely as the breakfasts are tasty — six rooms all decorated differently, but each with an English cottage flavor. There’s also a pool, a hot tub, and lovingly cared-for gardens. Staying at the Romeo Inn is a treat for all the senses. Deborah and Leo Ruth Kensington, California

Large, quiet bnb, away from the main drag but I my 15 min from Oregon Shakespeare Festival theaters. Breakfasts are simple, yet elegant. A new standard for bnbs!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Ashland! The owners go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are nicely decorated, the beds are very comfortable, and breakfasts are delicious. The Inn’s location is excellent, close to the Shakespeare Festival theaters and local restaurants and shopping. We have stayed here three times, and would have stayed more often if the Inn had had any rooms for the dates we wanted.

When you dream of a place that provides an oasis of comfort, cleanliness, quiet, and beauty, my dream came true when my husband and I found the Romeo Inn. Nestled in the hills, but still walkable to town and OSF, innkeepers, Don and Deana, have carried on the tradition of a B and B: immaculate rooms with comfy beds and thick bath towels; varied breakfasts with the freshest ingredients; freshly baked cookies as a treat every afternoon, and gardens along every aspect of the residence, showing off the local foliage, complimenting the Ponderosa Pine trees that outline the property. Imagine waking up to the sound of bluejays outside and the smell of fresh baked muffins inside. Simply wonderful! My husband and I have stayed at the Romeo for 21 years and have already reserved our 2014 stay. We do visit Ashland for Shakespeare and wine tasting, but, really, we look forward to seeing Don and Deana, the Inn, and to recharge and renew ourselves. You must stay here and experience this magic!

My husband and I decided to stay in Ashland for his 40th birthday. I was lucky to have found Romeo Inn. Our room was immaculate along with the entire house and grounds. Don and Deana were terrific hosts and excellent chefs. The breakfasts were amazing, different each day. The inn is located in a quiet neighborhood where we saw many deer grazing. The walk to town is a little hilly, but, good for burning off extra calories from the dinners in town and from visiting the local microbrews. We will definitely stay at Romeo Inn the next time we visit Ashland! Thank you Don and Deana!

I really enjoyed this place. Our room was clean and quite large with 2 beds. They have a nice little pool, hot tub and backyard for sitting out and enjoying the sun. Their fuzzy orange cat Buster(who also enjoys laying in the yard) is more than willing to keep you company. Breakfast was quite tasty, with a different fruit dish, smoothie, some baked item and a main dish each morning. The owners are quite friendly and helpful and the other guests were pleasant as well. This place is a few blocks from the main streets– not a bad distance at all, although its a bit hilly so folks who can’t walk too well would need to drive. They also have solar panels installed, cookies in the cookie jar and a small guest fridge.
