Ok, I’m sure it’s like this at every other college bookstore. You register for classes, you need books, you buy them books at your campus bookstore, you are broke for a month, you get hard up for cash and start selling your body, drugs, organs, etc…
Well, today I dropped $ 500 on textbooks, one of which was $ 180. I can’t complain, I’m a math major, and we all know math books will rip out your heart and eat your babies. The part that makes me mad is what I’ll be able to sell them back for at the end of the term.
Fall term, I bought a book for $ 40, and they offered me $ 2.95!!! when I tried to sell it back to them. Well, thank you for your generous offer. I am going to go to 7 – 11 with my $ 2.95 and treat myself to a nice cold forty.
I can complain more, but I’m sure you all have your own stories to tell about this and how life is so unfair. Here’s something I do like about the bookstore: their art section! They have a great selection of pens, markers, pencils, paints, etc. I’d recommend checking out Ace Hardware as well, because they have a great art selection and are sometimes cheaper than the bookstore.
