I’ve never been to Three Springs Fruit Farm itself — but I do eat their unbelievably delicious apples, peaches and pears all through the year, purchased at various top-​tier farmers markets in the Philadelphia area.
From the first blushing berries of early summer (that always go too fast!) to the Honeycrisp apples that hail the arrival of fall, Three Springs farmer Ben Wenk brings only the best to us deprived city-​dwellers. Prices are fair for such eye-​opening flavor — you just don’t get apples that taste like this for 99 cents a pound.
Besides providing the very best bites, Ben and his farmers market staff are among the friendliest folks you could ever chat with on a lovely weekend morning.
