This pizza spot is great. I have tried all the non-meat pizzas, and I have to say the best one is the vodka pizza even though their known for their artichoke green pizza. Best thing is that you can order online and pick up your slices fast. This is a must try spot and its open till 4am from thrus. To sunday. That vodka pizza is soooo. Goood!

Delivery took a little over an hour on a Tuesday night. They didn’t drive it over but sent someone on a scooter. It was still hot though. Def tipped him more — those pizzas are heavy. I used to live near the first Artichoke on 14th st where there was always a line. It’s good but not as good as it used to be, especially the artichoke pie. It’s not as cheesy and artichoke-y as it used to be. I agree with the other reviewer that it’s not like the pies in the city. It is greasy and cheesy and a little salty — just not as flavorful as it once was. It’s missing that artichoke magic. Artichoke pie def travels and delivers better than the margarita. The margarita crust is thinner and gets soggier. There was too much sauce on it — it was mostly sauce. It’s pricey but pies are huge. Use a coupon code to get it for less.

Ordered three pies from here for a Super Bowl party and everyone loved the Sicilian vodka pie. the artichoke pies on the other hand were nothing like the ones you get in the city. There was something off about them. Couldn’t figure out if it was the dough or the topping. I have ordered an artichoke slice from this location in the past and had the same experience. I guess I will still be making a trip over the bridge for the authentic tasting artichoke pizza.

I have to apologize for my initial review as it was written in frustration due to particular recurring incidents. But the owner has personally reached out to me to rectify and adjust for a better experience, and it’s always nice when they go out of their way to contact you, which says a lot about the establishment and it’s operation. That being said, I love their pizza! I’ve never been to any of the city locations, but they make great slices here. Not your traditional New York style pizza, if that’s what you’re in for, but full, thick, plentiful slices of different varieties. Their trademark Artichoke slice is thick and creamy, but that and artichokes have to be your thing. I personally love their Staten Island slice, and I haven’t gone wrong with any of the others either. The place is nice and clean with plenty of seating, and even a bar with good happy hour times that they have twice throughout the evening. My initial review was in regards to how they package my to-go orders, which happened on a few occasions, but hope to see a change on my next visit, and kind of has no consequence on their food and environment.

I have a cousin from LA who visits me about twice a year here in NY. And the reason she visits isn’t actually me, but it’s Artichoke Pizza. That’s right. Her first stop as soon as she gets off the plane is Artichoke. It’s almost a religious experience for us. I live in Astoria, and I didn’t even know an Artichoke existed here until she told me. Anyway, since I’m an Astorian now, we hit this one up yesterday instead of one of the Manhattan ones, and it’s definitely my favorite one. We were expecting a stand where we got our slice and had to eat outside, so it was a pleasant surprise to see tables, chairs, and an adorably charming interior. There’s a bathroom as well. They even serve wine and beer, so this could be a cute date spot, too. As for the pizza, breathtaking as always. In my humble opinion, the other Artichokes don’t have anything on this one. Hallelujah!

So glad to know that there is a location in Astoria. Depending on the time of day parking can be a bit difficult. For $ 4.00 I am definitely a happy camper. I ordered a slice of the artichoke pizza which is saucy and packed full of flavor. The slices are also very huge. Also when you check in on Unilocal you get $ 2.00 off.

Best pizza on the Astoria-Ditmars stop. Huge slices make it very appealing to get pizza instead of making dinner. Vodka slice is to do die for.

Great pizza spot not too far from Rose & Joe’s, right off the subway exit. This place offers $ 4 draft beers from 4−8pm and 11pm-1am. They also have Empire’s White Aphro on tap. We ordered two slices of Staten Island($ 4.5 each) and a slice of Crab($ 4.5). You get a pretty big slice for the price, and they both tasted good! The atmosphere is pretty laid back. You can either sit at the bar or at the dining table.

I am a fan of Artchichoke pizza in the city and to find that a shop has opened in my neighborhood almost makes me feel like I’m dreaming. Let’s see if the dream is as good for my stomach too. I started this review with the classic artichoke pizza slice. Same thick crust to soak in the creamy sauce and artichoke bits as you would find in the city, yet it still keeping the crust crunchy is an amazing feat. The slice eats like a pure meal, and sometimes requires a nap. I have since eaten a different slice everyday for a week. Crab slice(this slice alone deserves it’s own review), margarita slice, Sicilian, and a white slice. I’ve not regretted one bite, and with happy hour introducing slashed prices on alcohol while you eat a slice, it’s pretty relaxing to munch and watch the world go by their large windows looking at a busy Astoria. Nice place, great pizza, full stomach.

Cute little spot, very comfortable & inviting. Got a few slices with my BF on a Saturday. I’m a pretty hungry woman & after 2 slices it was uncomfortable to walk out of the restaurant lol. Def worth it though. A decent amount of tables & chairs, they do a happy hour which is cool. Had the artichoke & the crab, 2 thumbs up

I think something went wrong with the first time(slice) I tried it at the 14th Street location. THISTIME at the Astoria location more than made up for it. I don’t remember them being the same. Maybe it was the night, the slice or it just came out wrong but this time ordering an entire pie made up for it x5 All seats were full at 7pm-ish. And there was a bit of wait but not that long. It was actually faster than expected even with the small bit of wait time. I still remembered the oozing cream of a sauce but it seemed less oily, dripping off factor. It still did but with less of the oily running off the pizza like last time. It reminded me of this: go to the supermarket and buy a pie of DiGiorno and pour Tostitos Creamy Spinach Dip and add some artichokes on top, bake it, bam you have a cheap version of what would be an odd version of the Artichoke pie. But the Artichoke pie is x10 better than what I said. And one slice is pretty big and filling. I required two out of the pie to fill me up. The dough is thick with only a hint of bread chewiness but doesn’t taste like bread, the pizza dough quality is good(The bottom lightly charred added a light crisp). The creamy artichoke and spinach sauce is light, subtle taste of all the ingredients made for a tasty cream. The sum of the cream sauce and good thick crust made it a very good combo. Well worth the $ 4.50 slice or $ 29 + $ 2.57 tax for a pie. The down side is I didn’t see a rest room. The plus side is there’s beer like SingleCut beer on tap. And a couple IPAs. And the other variety of pizza pies looked pretty good also. Fancy napkins and a simple layout of half bar, half pizza joint. Definitely will be back.

I was super excited to see that there was an artichoke in Queens! My hometown! Commuting to the city for my beloved pizza was a journey I didn’t mind, but life definitely more easier with this place being 20 minutes away from home by car. Staff is pretty cool, pizza is amazing. They even have a bar! I’m so glad this place is here.

This place is not as busy as the other locations in the city. That’s a good thing and a bad thing. The Good: Very little wait time. The Bad: Pizza ain’t fresh, no traffic means pizza just sitting there, waiting to be reheated. Reheated pizza = hard crust = you’re in for a mouth workout. Even though the pizza here isn’t as fresh, it’s still damn good. All in all, I think it’s a good addition to Astoria.

They also give city workers discounts! Not bad, but still pricy. It was $ 25 for 5 slices. Eeeeesh. Still really awesome pizza though The artichoke slice — artichoke hearts, spinach, cream sauce, mozzarella and pecorino romano cheese. Its deliciousness on a pizza! Cannot go wrong with this. Their slices are HUGE! So if you’re hungry and you’re thinking about getting two or three slices… im telling you now. Theyre huge! These slices are not cheap. You pay for what you get, though. I’d come back often if it were around me.

Probably one of the best non-New Haven pizzas I ever had. The quality and flavor, combined with a cold draught IPA and the view of the hustle and bustle outside made for a memorable lunch. The Artichoke pizza was amazing. The Crab pizza was nicely seasoned and unexpectedly great.

So glad that there’s an Artichoke in Queens now! Of course, we got the Artichoke slice. We also had another slice to see how their regular pizzas are. The staff was friendly, informative and had no problem with cutting the pizzas in half for us so we could split them. Though they didn’t have it at the time, they told us they have a Staten Island pizza, which has meatball, ricotta and red onions. Must try that next time. The artichoke slice was great as usual, but the other slice was okay. The cheese was good and melty, but the sauce was eh. Being a new location, the place was clean and the staff seemed to be comfortable with what they were doing. Everything went smoothly. They have a great brick wall with their name on it, and a TV in the corner. It may seem small from the outside, but the inside is pretty spacious!

Can’t give a full 5-star until I head into the shop itself, but methinks they ironed out the delivery woes some of my fellow Unilocalers have reported. My experience was perfection. Easy ordering online, pizza arrived in a reasonable amount of time and still warm enough to eat out of the box, heated up fine in the oven, tasted exactly like the original location and the West Village locations(albeit the crust a bit crunchier than said locations, though definitely not burnt), nice difference between the taste of the regular meatball slice and the Sicilian, perfectly packed in the box in a single layer with no overlap, carried properly as to not slosh about, and perfect crust to goodies ratio.

Very efficient and friendly service. It looks like 6 people working behind the counters. Not sure if they’ll keep that up or if they had more people because of the opening. You walk in the clean well lit space and it is open with seating in the front, a long marble bar, and you order in the back. The Artichoke slice($ 4.50) was creamy and tasty with the rich artichoke, spinach cream sauce and ample cheese. All their favorites are on the menu. Here I can only eat one slice as it is quite filling due to the slices being thicker and richer than regular pizza places. Slices and pies are offered for all pizza at $ 4-$ 4.50 each except for Burnt Anchovy which is whole pie only. Definitely a welcomed addition to the neighborhood.
