Broadway Grill

This is an awesome little diner on Broadway in Astoria. It was the first place I tried after moving, and after living in Jersey for six years I can say that it definitely passed all tests of a good diner. Lots of menu options with some good looking specials, something for any mood, a variety of drinks, and an upbeat atmosphere. My girlfriend got the veggie wrap, and I got the Greek burger. The wrap was fresh and delicious, and the burger was a really interesting take, but awesome. I didn’t expect pita to make a good bun, but it worked out well and the feta was fresh and fit well with the burger.
It’s homey in a diner kind of way, what do you expect? Recommended for quieter nights and casual relaxing.

I live around the corner from this place and while I do not frequent it as often as I do other diners in Astoria, the times that I have ate there have been pretty satisfactory. Like other commenters have mentioned, it is a small place, about 6 booths and a counter with a couple of seats. Food is quite good– standard diner fare. Stick to the burgers, wraps/​sandwiches, breakfast parts of the menu and you won’t be disappointed. (I gotta admit– I never understood those who order a steak or chicken piccata at a coffee shop/​diner, and then wonder why their meals were less than savory– it’s a diner, get a cheeseburger deluxe!)
If you dine there in the evenings, it’s somewhat empty as I am guessing they do a lot of take-​out orders. There is usually one waitress and a cook in the back, with a delivery guy coming in and out every 20 minutes. Weekend mornings are pretty busy. Give it a try, though. And don’t order a friggin ribeye!

Their portions are generous and the food is yummy. It looks like there’s only one waitress, even on the weekends. she was very friendly and made an effort to attend to everyone. I would definitely come back again for breakfast!

I ordered once from here. And I am afraid never again. Asked for a cappuccino and they gave me chocolate milk. Steak was rubbery. U can just chew the steak for hours like gum. Just Awful.

SUCH a disappointment. We ordered two belgian waffles and a rodeo burger. First of all, it took over an hour for them to deliver our food. We asked for powdered sugar and whipped cream on the waffles and not only did they came bare but they had this weird underlying salty taste, not to mention being soggy and lukewarm. No butter, no nothing, and stingy with the syrup. Thank god I had a taco in the fridge leftover from yesterday’s lunch. We asked for honey mustard on the side for the burger and that wasn’t sent either. I’m extremely annoyed and honestly, if it was just me ordering I would have brought the food back and demanded a refund.

This is a good breakfast or brunch spot. They have a good selection of omelets and egg dishes. The brunch is a very reasonable $ 7.99 including caffe and toast. I had a Mexican omelet that was delicious. Three. Egg omelet stuffed with ground meat and saluted pepper and beans! The service was great and friendly. Constant flow of caffe refills.
The portions are filling and the quality was very good. Absolutely a good value for your money!

Ordered a cheesesteak… what i received was a poor excuse for one…
Steak was cold, hard, and chewy, cheese was not even melted, and fries were limp and tasteless.
Poor customer service and long delivery times for subpar food… DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

I’m show disappointed in the level of service at this place. I order delivery from this place everyday and it’s is always a $ 45 order. The reason for this review is on 3÷7÷15 I order 3 burger deluxe and a healthy salad. I work long hours and when the delivery came I ate 45 minutes later but to my surprise there was no dressing and since I was so hungry I was such a disappointment. I call them and told them about the situation and they said I will deliver you the dressing, when people are starving and the order was wrong people don’t want to hear that. What they should of said is I am very sorry for the mistake let me send you a new order or next time you order the salad is free. But I guess they don’t need my business. I don’t think I will order from them again there go $ 45 for 4 times a week. I hope the business owner reads this and understands customer service.

I really like their food and would give them 4 stars but they mess up to many orders so I dropped them to a 3. Their delivery used to be fast and now is slowwwwww. Don’t trust the estimate on seamless. If you go in and eat, you won’t be disappointed. I guess they are a 3.5, but that’s not an option.
My favorite dish is the German omelet. Sausage, bacon and ham. Can’t go wrong!

Oh how quickly you fall, Broadway Grill. I wanted to fight for you and did on many occasions but after the third screw up i just cant anymore!
My bf and i order from here often because its cheap *was* good food and *was* quick being nearby. well we placed an order recently and after waiting an hour finally called wondering what was going on. They claimed they never received our order despite me getting the confirmation email and tried to blame the company we ordered from. Magically somehow my order «came through» while i was on the phone and they assured me they would make it right away and it would be there in 20 minutes if we still wanted it. Well i was starving so i agreed… 45 – 50 minute later it arrived. There was nothing thrown in and they gave us no utensils or condiments.
We gave them one more shot after this if you can believe it and it took them over an hour AND they got the order WRONG. sorry my friends, i can no longer fight for you.

Had a delivery from them. Overall very tasty, fresh and satisfying food. Their Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich could’ve been a bit more generous in terms of portion size, Rodeo Burger could’ve been a little less burnt but the Broadway Grill Burger was delicious and compensated for the rest.

This is one of my favorite places, the food is great and is very affordable, the service is also very very good.

Been a little over a year since my last review, needed to update. To be fair, this is not about food quality or cleanliness, but service. The service here has always been a tad slow, but today it was practically non existent. I waited nearly 45 minutes for an order of French Toast and bacon that never came. Four tables were seated after me, and they got their orders. I finally called another server order and said I just wanted to pay for my coffee and go. They didn’t charge for the coffee, but I was very disappointed. They really need to up their game in the service area. The food is good and their prices are very reasonable, but I’m sorry, an order of French toast does not take 45 minutes.

I can’t speak as to their take-​out or delivery quality as some folks here on Unilocal have, however I have eaten here with my boyfriend a handful of times and while it’s not the Waldorf-​Astoria it IS a pretty good diner.
Meals we have had here between the two of us include:
Buttermilk Pancaaaaaaakes, egg and cheese omelets with fries and whole wheat buttered toast, Tuna Salad, Whole Wheat toasted bagel with cream cheese, toasted English muffin with butter, Turket BLT Double decker (or triple… yarg, I forget — it wasn’t my meal, lol).
None of my meals have been particularly bad and usually the boy is happy with his food — although this weekend his Tuna salad (served with a pita bread, boiled egg, tuna, lettuce and a large open tomato thingamabob) was a bit weird as the tuna was watery and didn’t look or taste as it has when he’s ordered it before.
Still — they’re reasonably priced, good friendly service, make my bf happy with their two varieties of Tabasco sauce (original and habanero), make consistent yummy diner-​quality food and are open late hours. Perfect for a quick bite or a lazy Sunday booze-​less brunch. We’ll both be back for sure!

I just went with my two nieces (4 & 9 y.o.) and we had a great dine in brunch experience. I’ve walked passed this place often and decided to try this place out, I’m glad I did.
I had the nutella french toast, the girls had the chocolate chip pancakes. We all left out stuffed. In addition to the food, the customer service was great. Our server name was Maria, she and the other woman working the floor were great!
I will return to this place for sure.

Came here on a Sunday for brunch when the other diners in the area were jam packed. The service was a little slow but nothing too bad, and I loved the omelet I ordered but my boyfriend didn’t like his pancakes. The place is small, but it’s fine for small groups. The music was bad, as other reviewers have mentioned, but I didn’t mind terribly as I had someone to talk to.

I love this place SO much, I come in at least once a week for their Delux Breakfast Platter! It’s such a good value and the food and coffee are always wonderful. I usually bring my work here, it’s a perfect quiet spot to spread out, concentrate, and relax. Everyone who works here is friendly and they refill coffee like a direct sieve which I always appreciate. I love that I stumbled upon this place, it’s a real gem!

$ 8 brunch menu! They have a variety of omelets, which come with home fries, toast and coffee (free refills!). And they have other typical brunch fare — eggs Benedict etc. You get a lot of food for the money, and it’s good quality. Straightforward diner style décor and totally laid back atmosphere. Staff are super friendly.
I’ve only been for brunch, but they also do breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Uhm… maybe dining in would give a better experience… but I would be hard pressed to order from here again.
My order arrived within the delivery estimate window… but the corned beef hash was maybe half a can of the cheap stuff you can get at the grocery store. Mind you, they did brown one side of it on the griddle. But, only one side.
The German Omelette was good. But they charged extra for cheese. So I ordered both Cheddar and Monterey Jack. They only put on Monterey Jack. But that was the second add on… so they had to move past cheddar to see it. I never received a call to say they were out… but I was still charged. I’ll have to presume the extra egg and mushroom were in there… though I’m used to cooking omelettes, and a four egg omelette with all that meat plus mushrooms in it really should have been larger… so I doubt they gave me all I paid for. And they didn’t include any jelly/​jam packets for the toast. At least the chunk hashbrowns were good…
The spaghetti bolognese was okay. Decent. On par with other area places, if a slightly smaller portion. A bit oily/​fatty. But it was good enough.
Rather underwhelmed and put off with this ordering experience.
