I had a really nice side salad(legit greens) and the cajun chicken wrap(super tasty), but what I really came here to say is this place has THENICESTSTAFF. So attentive and really great. Our waiter was a sweetheart and even a waiter that wasn’t ours saw me waiting by the restroom and came over to tell me about the loo downstairs. Oh, and get the honey whiskey buffalo wings!

Such a good spot for happy hour. Who can complain about 5 dollar drafts and 6 dollar well drinks. Plus the service was amazing! Our waiter was so nice and took great care of us. Plus the nachos were great so all around a win win!

I came here twice. First time was during the day and they had happy hour specials. It wasn’t that great. It was borderline A-OKAY, but I hate to say this, but AppleBees food tastes better than theirs. Second time, I literally came in and sat down for a bit to wait for my boyfriend. They stll had maybe 3 other people there, but the service guy came by MEONLY and rudely said«we are closing. you NEED to get out.» Didn’t say that to anyone else, just me. What if I was about to order a drink? Could you have asked that more nicely? What the hell is your issue? Learn some manners and respect. Stay away from this place: bad service and mediocre food. Save your money.

The food is alright. The service varies too much. I tried to like this place as it’s right down the street from me, but the table service is spotty. I hate having to interrupt my server from her facebook time, when I need another beer. The day time ladies are rude. I tried to come in late night once, I was ignored by the bartender as she and the server just stared at the pos, and I watched a customer steal a full glass of beer as they were too busy to pay attention to anything. I’ve had 2 alright experiences out of 10.

Pretty damned good sports bar located right off the train in Astoria. I came in here to watch Porzingas and ended up talking with the bartender about basketball for hours. Good guy. Hopefully I’m back here again someday.

The most unpretentious place in Astoria. You can be a fan of whatever team and you are welcome. The staff is lovely, and you can tell they have a following. I am never disappointed when I come here. The food is good, wings, burgers, salads… I don’t really want to let everyone know what a best kept secret this place is because they certainly don’t need any douchie people invading and judging, but they deserve the 5 stars. See you soon!

This place has really gone down hill. I have been coming here for Sunday football for two seasons and one Sunday this season will be my last. They used to have unlimited drinks for 2 hours that is now gone. The food has really taken a hit too. However my biggest complaint is the service. If you do end up coming here make sure you don’t have the blonde waitress with short hair serve you. She knows literally no English. She messed up our food. She messed up our drinks she over charged us. My group and I just wanted to leave ASAP. This lady didn’t know anything about the specials… what beers in the cooler… NOTHING…on top of that she was rude. I write good and bad reviews… not only bad however I had to make Unilocalers aware of how downhill this place has gone. My friends and I will be taking our Sunday football gatherings else where. It’s Astoria many many better sports bars. I really like this place since it was close to come and quiet but the service is probably the worst I ever had and the food is not much better… if I could say anything nice about this place it would be about the TVs… at least everyone could watch the game of there choice.

Don’t come for football. 2nd week in a row they’re completely clueless. 13 tvs 10 games on and only 4 are being shown. Met a girl last night who literally joined Unilocal so she could warn people about this place.

Just OK to go spot for Brunch during football season. Typical bar food with eggs entrees, prepared in a proper manner. Good deal on bloody Mary’s, the only bummer is that their brunch stops at 1PM, also asked for mustard and had a categorical«NO» for answer by the barback ??? Unheard of… Definitely Sanford’s next door is a better deal for Brunch as far as food and service. If you’re an early riser on Sundays this could be your spot to watch football games, specially if you’re a Jets fan …

The service was alright, I went there really late at night with a couple of co-workers and we were just really tired from work and just wanted a drink and some food.

I love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is very good for bar food. Nice, chill spot and they have a wide selection of flavored vodka which I love. I usually get grape vodka with sprite… only place I can have that :)

Use to be a great bar but the staff has becomes very relaxed with service. Might wait a while before obtaining a drink. Pouring a beer must be difficult. Barkeep had the worst cough while pouring everyone’s drinks. Sure enough a few days later I was confined to my bed due to deplorable cleanliness of this bar. It’s hit or miss depending on the staffs mood. Approach with caution. I miss the old vibe.

Having TVs in every booth is awesome. Having service that actually brings you what you are really there for(drinks and food) is WAY better. Our table, in a fairly empty restaurant, had to wait 20 – 30 minutes for our food, 10 – 15 minutes for our drinks and they came out WRONG. We repeated our orders to the waiter and when we were missing a dish, she tried to argue with us that we never ordered it. And then we even tried to jog her memory because we asked her a question about the dish before ordering… and her answer«Well it wasn’t clear that you wanted the dish.» Seriously. Go for beers and stay at the bar. The food is just OK, there are plenty of other places to go to in Astoria.

Basically the waiter and bartender were overwhelmed and there were only about 20 patrons. Our finger food came out 15 min before our drinks and we ordered drinks 10 min before our food… Apparently nobody knows how to make a kettle martini with a twist. All in all what a massive disappointment.

Your basic run of the mill dive bar under the tracks of the N Q. Come here for a cheap happy hour drink($ 5 sky vodka mixed drinks can’t be beat).

This place is solid. That’s it. It’s not the food paradise of Astoria, and it isn’t the hippest bar in town. But the people are usually nice, the bar tenders and servers pretty nice and they have a regular bar menu that doesn’t taste like shit! So hey, SOLID! I’ve come here many times for Steelers games. There’s a Steeler contingent in Astoria you ask? Why, Yes there is! You can find them there nearly every game! Potato Skins on the menu are awesome, and they have recently started a $ 10 pitcher deal there during the games. Good Stuff! Tons of TVs, never too crowded, only a block away from the Broadway Station!(did you get it?)

Came for brunch because Sanford’s was packed and this place was empty. Brunch at a sports bar? Ehh I was skeptical, but it turns out this place has some superb pancakes. Big, perfectly fluffy yet dense, just delightful. The menu said three pancakes but I only received two, so I notified the waitress and she brought me my other one shortly.(It was even bigger than the first two. NOM) Pay attention to details, kids! The staff was accommodating and even split the bill four ways for us.

We stopped in for a round of rainy day Guinness when our original destination was discovered to be closed. I am pretty sure we made a decent choice that day. I really love when bartenders pour a Guinness correctly and wait a few to serve it, or at least let you know that it’s still settling. This is the case with the very friendly bartender that day — I apologize I forget her name, but you’ll know her for her gift of small talk. It’s pretty dark at Broadway Station. Low lighting commonly found in a pub or sports bar setting is absorbed by the large amounts of dark heavy wood and dark leather seating. It’s a good setting for a day when you want to feel cozy and safe from cold drafts or rain, but I can’t see it being super inviting during the summer months. We also ordered a plate of homemade potato chips, because the guy next to us had them and they looked really delicious. When they arrived we found them to all be slightly undercooked — a thin, soggy potato slice. I would characterize them as bad and to be avoided, and the fact that they are served with ketchup is just more confusing… really thin overcooked coin-shaped fries, or terrible potato chips. Steer clear, just stick to beer. There are some really comfortable booths here also, and most are outfitted with small screens so that you can watch a game without craning your neck to find the one screen you want to watch… a great thing for a small group. Know that on game days they fill up pretty fast. Last tip: when the drink specials are presented make sure to double check with your server or bartender on any specifications or limitations to the deals. More than once I have experienced awkward conversations when the bill came and it doesn’t reflect the special advertised. They are also sometimes not so accommodating, depends on who is managing I guess.
