Tina is a color genius. She listened to what I was looking for and delivered beautifully. She has a new loyal customer!!!

I’ve been going to Tina for years. Her cuts are wonderful. She is always able to make me look fresh and new without making me go out of my comfort zone. I was very proud that I had never colored my hair and finally I decided to go for it and Tina is the only one I trusted. The color is perfect and so natural looking. She was very thoughtful and listened to what I wanted. Her prices are best in the city and she’s a delight to spend a few hours with.

If you are struggling to find a good colorist in New York… Tina is your go-​to. I just recently visited for a much needed touch-​up on my blonde balayaged hair, and Tina did exactly what I had hoped: fixed my 6 month over-​grown roots perfectly!
From the moment I arrived, Tina was very accommodating and immediately knew what to do with my hair. We had an initial assessment and discussion of what I wanted and the best way to achieve it. We decided to proceed with blonde highlights (very well placed, look natural) and toner to warm the overall process.
I loved it! Very happy, and will certainly be back at the next sign of root. IF you’re unsure of where to go, and want to have a stylist who knows hair AND color well– Tina should be your first stop.

I have been going to the same place on the UES for many years, but now that I live in Astoria it’s not so convenient. I looked on Unilocal and walked in to Tina on Saturday afternoon and she was so sweet and helpful. She was able to do a single process and cut immediately. The entire salon was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back and become a regular. Thanks again!

This is a little overdue. I went to Tina for the first time on New Year’s Eve and I couldn’t have been more impressed! Having just moved to NYC, I thought I would have to try several places before I found one that I liked.
I went in for a single color and cut and right away Tina suggested we add some lighter sunlights into my hair. Let me tell you this. If Tina makes a suggestion, listen to her!
She was absolutely right! My hair color is absolutely beautiful and I am constantly complimented on my cut and color.
The whole experience was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and they even got me coffee while I waited.
I will definitely be visiting Tina regularly for my cut and color! I could not have been luckier to find someone right in my neighborhood and so amazing.

Tina is FANTASTIC I came in with pictures showing the style an the highlights I usually get blond gold an she made a recommendation to go dark w highlights an it turned out amazing .,
I’ve gotten so many compliments, she professional an super sweet as is everyone else in the salon.

My hair had become black black black from too many colorings. Tina was able to bring my shade back to a softer brown, and at a very reasonable price.
If you have had problems with color or need a change, Tina is the on to go to.

her clients! she said she would be able to give me what i wanted and ended up just damaging my hair and the color was nothing close to what i wanted. i would honestly give her a zero but thats not even an option here!!!

Tina is an excellent stylist and a great colorist. I have tricky curly hair and Tina is the only person that found the right cut for me. I am 31 and have been to many salons in both the US and abroad. I haven’t let anyone else touch my hair since I met her.
A couple of years ago Tina gave me highlights and brought my hair from dark brown to blonde but also taught me how to take care of it. So now my hair is healthier than it’s ever been.
Tina is an true professional and a riot to be around! I highly recommend her!

Getting my hair cut and colored with Tina was an absolutely great experience. She is a true artist who understands the chemistry of color, and exactly how to cut and style hair to its most flattering shape. I’ve not stopped getting compliments on my new do since I’ve left her chair, and am so grateful to her and her vision. Of equal importance to her technique is what a lovely person she is: kind, understanding, and hilarious! Thank goodness for Tina… she’s now officially my hairdresser!

From the first minute Tina made me feel comfortable and listened to what I wanted.
I moved to Astoria (from Brooklyn) and needed a new hair stylist.
I’m the kind of person that once I find a good hairstylist I remain very loyal.
And after the color and cut I was even happier. I have red hair and wasn’t sure someone would get what I was going for. She gave me a beautiful, realistic, vibrant looking red which was exactly what I wanted and which I love.
I highly recommend her and I will definitely be going back.

Searching for someone to correct my hair color from over deposit for quite sometime. Came across these reviews and gave it a try. I am so happy I did! If it isnt enough to walk into a party and the first words out of my sisters mouth are «your hair looks amazing!!».
Tina and Lena are a great team, thank you both so much!!! Tina explains every step as she goes along. Excellent haircut too!!!

Just as everyone else has written, I too had a terrific experience with Tina. I asked her to do what she thought best for my color (dirty blonde with old highlights) and she chose a golden brown base with very subtle and artfully placed highlights. I feel she took years off me with her insightful and spot-​on color shift — amazing and so much more reasonably priced (and better!) than in Manhattan. A couple days later I was giving a party and decided to get a wash/​blow dry in the city. The woman who did it, herself very experienced, commented on what beautiful highlights I had. Tina is wonderful at her craft and as a person.

I love Tina! First visit and she turned my bleached hair into what I actually wanted. She took me in at short notice as it was an emergency too, Adore the hair and will be coming back soon! xxx
Taking off a star cuz it is a little pricey and they didn’t have sulphate free shampoo. =/​Overall, LOVE IT.

I’ve have been looking for someone who can color my hair for the past 3 years. i live in the Bronx and lately all the colorist around my are have done a bad job doing my hair. i Google «best hair colorist in NY «and saw hair color by Tina. i immediately got in my car and drove over to Astoria to get my hair done. First of all, i got lost a bit getting to the place, but once i got there, I felt really comfortable as soon as i walked in. everyone at the salon was very pleasant and very nice. Tina checked my hair and said she will work with me on trying to pick a color that i would love not something that someone else will like to see me with. it was a long process and a little pricy but at the end it was worth it. i love my hair color and highlights. she did and amazing job. i can truly say i found my hair colorist, after all the ups and down with the previous ones.

Tina is my hairdresser for over 2 years. I have dared many changes in cut and color. Tina is great with color, foresees what it will look like and if it suits me. She is a true professional and very experienced. I will continue to go to Tina and highly recommend her.

Visiting from upstate and decided to gamble on a haircut. Went for just a trim but Tina assessed my current look and deemed it «90s» so I went with her judgement. Happy I did… Nice careful haircut and blow dry and my hair looks healthier than it has in a long time. Ask her for advice and she will steer you in the right direction.
