Zero wait time, I was brought to a «room» as soon as I walked in. The rooms are really sections separated by curtains. It’s a no frills place but it looked clean and well maintained. They have disposables on top of the linens so at least you know it’s fresh before you get on the table. They had steady business as I was there — in my 30 min massage two people had finished up and another two people had come in. Always a good sign. 30 min was $ 25 I asked her to concentrate on my back and she really got into my kinks. She did a great job I will definitely come back and have this be my regular spot

Tried this place on a whim as my feet were killing me. Price was slightly higher than what’s in the area, I opted for the $ 20 for 20 min foot massage. The women hit some of the right pressure points but didn’t really get into it. I guess I need more than 20 mins. Place looked simple and rooms were separated by curtains. All in all it was decent, I’ll try some other spots in the area to compare.

Decided on a whim to stop in again when walking past, and was again seen right away. The pricing used in their picture here is still accurate, and definitely a steal.
I distinctly remember my first time here, and so it was a little weird having someone else work on me with such a different technique. My first visit was done with a small woman who did a very diverse massage that covered my entire body, and only at the end had some quick butt stuff. This time was done with a guy who seemed to incorporate my butt into every single stroke.
His pressure was incredible and I wasn’t able to breathe in some parts, but it bordered on the good kind of hurt/​outright simple pain. Being a no-​frills place, your experience is very dependent on fellow patrons as well — my first visit was remarkably quiet. This past visit had a couple that were very vocal, loudly gassy, and didn’t seem to think the waiting area was a place to use indoor voices. Not the establishments fault of course, but a factor in their service.
Overall I still would come back, and just know that the service will be very good, but contributing factors are simply hit or miss.

Always in search of the perfect massage — and GH may not be perfect buts it’s pretty. darn good. They really work out the knots and if I were able to, I’d be here every week. Place clean. Prices reasonable. People who work here nice. Never had to wait long. Next want to try the 45 min foot reflexology! Whoo hoo! Hope they don’t get edged out by all the cafés. We need this place! Also have the frequent flier card. :)

I always come to this spot bi-​weekly give or take. They always listen to w e I tell them the massage is great! I’ve forgotten things multiple times and the lady always hold on to it for me! Love the honesty here!

After my half ass massage tonight, I was getting dressed and found a HUGE flying cockroach in my room that flew under the massage table. I understand that sometimes these thing happen and are beyond control so I discreetly told the lady. (to not freak all the other customers out) She then proceeded to yell at me for 10 minutes and ACCUSED me of bringing the flying cockroach in via purse.

Went with my boyfriend on a whim and we had a great massage. It’s clean, music was relaxing and the masseuse was friendly (Lisa & Rain) we’ll def be back.

Can’t say whether massages are good here since they never have room for me. I don’t throw race around lightly but this was the third time I tried…

I really liked my time here. The woman was gentle and nice and asked me if things felt ok. I went in with a really bad neck and came out feeling just fine. I would definitely go back!
Only reason why I am not giving it five stars is that there was a woman buying a gift certificate and I could hear the entire conversation for 10 minutes. Distracting but ok.

I’ve probably spent the equivalent of a paycheck here over the past two years I’ve lived in Astoria, but it’s totally worth it! Best pricing in the neighborhood and also great quality. The women know what they’re doing and are willing to listen. They have a rewards card — 9 massages = 1 free 30 min session!
The place itself is pretty bare bones, but if you’re looking to be lulled into serenity, you should probably look for a spa. This place is all about physical relief (so don’t expect individual rooms or absolute quiet). But if you do want a firm, affordable and quick rub, this is a go-​to for Astorians. Plus afterwards, you can grab a drink somewhere along 30^th Ave.

I’ve been here a handful of times, and this is one of my favorite places to go get a massage in my neighborhood.
I’ve never had a bad massage, and I’ve easily fallen asleep in the middle of each one to be awoken when it was time to turn around.
I need to remember to tell them not massage my face (it’s weird and I’m not a fan when they do), but otherwise it’s a solid massage, complete with them climbing on top to really dig their elbows into me, which I appreciate!
These ladies are super strong and they’ve dug into knots I didn’t even know I had.
Definitely will be back for more!

Ive been here three times to mixed reviews although none bad. Good, bad, and finally amazing. I think it kind of depends on who you get, as to how good your experience will be. Im not sure of her name, she was short and kind of homely looking with hands like a football players and I want to marry her.
I had something go wrong in my mid-​back, told her about and BAM! She digs in there and starts finding all these other places that the pain either stemmed from or was the cause of. While the pain is not all gone i can say that i went from a 7 (10 being not able to move) to a 3.
Its one of those no-​frills asian massage places, and for $ 51 for 60 minutes you can’t go wrong. I give this place my bonafide seal of approval.

Ive been here at least ten times and maybe three of those ten times were awesome. It totally depends on who you get here but there are a number of women who only use ONE HAND or their forearms when they massage you and have absolutely no idea what they are doing.
I found a girl that I liked but the man running the show would not allow me to request or wait for her. Once, the man in charge massaged me himself and it was great except for the fact he kept answering the store phone every two minutes and it was impossible to relax.
I use their bonus card and am at the point where I get a free massage and I’m not even sure I want to go back here again to use it.

Holy bejeebus.
After a long work-​week I was walking by GH for the thousandth time when I did a pause, turn and walk-​in. One of the ladies, Wendy? was free and immediately brought me into one of the many covered stalls.
The place was clean, smelled spa-​y, and Wendy was über-​polite. I asked for a 20 minute but reneged and went for 30 after a few minutes of what I now assume, was the warm-​up period.
She gently started up and asked if I’d like a deeper massage. Indeed! (See previous rolling pin review)… A deep tissue massage? Woo-​hoo! At some point, she was on the table WITH me. After a few more minutes she asked if I’d like more pressure — sure thing! Oh. wait. OUCH. If anyone were recording my facial expressions the would’ve seen some interesting faces.
Essentially, it was so deep, it was painful, but ridiculously effective. I definitely could’ve told her to go easy on me, but that day and the next few, the long-​situated knots behind my shoulder blades and in my neck were gone to the point where i’d forgotten how it felt without them.
For the price, the speed and the service, I’ll be coming back for some more ‘bodywork.’ If you’re looking to get the knots out, this is your place.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I’ve had 3 – 4 different therapists and it was great every time. But, be warned, this is not a sissy massage… they work out knots with force and it’s fantastic. And, there’s no shady downtime in the massage… the time you buy is all time filled with great massage.
Also, I’ve walked-​in every time and never waited longer than 8 — 10 minutes.
Highly recommend this place!

My back pain & shoulder needed massage badly so I decided to try this place based on the reviews here but unfortunately didn’t meet my expectation. I used to get tui na massage in Flushing, but stop going there since the clinic abused my insurance :(
Comparing to the massage I got in Flushing, it’s not as strong but I know every one is different, for my sister the massage here is good for her.
The place is clean, not much communication with the therapist due to language barrier.

Shoulder pain from months of stressing and studying at a desk nonstop? Gone! Was it painful while she was tenderizing my shoulder and back? Yes! But worth it? Definitely! Of course there were a few moments when I was wondering if she really knew what she was doing because I read that massages aren’t supposed to be painful and I could swear she was trying to massage my bones. But I decided because it was my first time to keep my mouth shut and judge based on the results. And results were warm glow and relaxed back before my tough exam! Exactly what I needed!
In sum, nice hardworking people, quiet and very clean. No pressure to talk to masseuse because they don’t speak English well anyway. Bring cash if you don’t want to pay the little extra to use credit card (eg 48 cash for 60 min vs 51 with credit card). Love this place! Will definitely patronize again!

Thanks to Tim L for bring Golden Hands to my attention. I’ve walked past this place several times without ever noticing it. I usually go to Chinese Gongfu Tui-​Na up in Ditmars, but I’ll be sticking with Golden Hands from now on.
1) Golden Hands is closer to where I live,
2) Also has the buy 10 massages and get the 11^th free deal,
3) VERY clean and neat, not at all scruffy or skeezy looking,
4) Great Tui-​Na massages — I could feel all the tension and stress that I carry in my shoulders and neck being pushed out,
5) Cheap! $ 48 for an hour,
6) I loved the hot towel rub down afterward,
7) Walked out so relaxed that I fell asleep when I got home 5 mins later.

The majority of Astoria’s Chinese Qi Gong Tui Na establishments line the T section at Broadway & Steinway so it’s nice to find a place a little closer to the heart of Astoria.
This place is right on the main stretch of 30^th ave and a closer walk from the subway stop than Steinway is.
They offer their massage services to both men and women alike and unlike so many of the other places seems to be surviving quite decently.
With my deep knots many places often don’t put enough pressure, fear not they get go as hard as necessary to work those all out.
Most of them speak English better than some other Chinese places I’ve been to before which is a bonus. They even have a «Buy 10 get 1 free» type of deal going with their massages.
From what I can tell it’s based on the length/​type of massage you get. eg after 10×20 min massages you can get 20 min free, or 10×60 min = 60 min free.
The atmosphere isn’t exactly spa like, it’s definitely a little more on the sanitary/​sparse side of things which for some people can affect their relaxation.
All in all a decent experience.
