I’ve been coming to this location for about 21 years and today was pleasant & nice customer service from cashier and good selection saved me for a last minute party :)

The signs are mislabeled. You think you find a deal until you go pay for the clothes and realized nothing is as marked on the signs. They seem to market sale items with not on sale items. Rule of thumb when shopping here. If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.

I been shopping at Mandee stores since I was in high school maybe I’m getting too old for this store but I still love some of their clothes. This particular location was a bit small and didn’t have a great selection of items however I did find a cute skirt :)

My boyfriend took me here. They have some cute dresses, tops and shorts but the styles are a bit limited. It’s a small shop after all. They don’t have a shoe department or much of a jewelry department. Still, it’s okay to shop here. Their Almost Famous jean shorts are the best!

Mandees has been in my neighbourhood for many years and I can say that their slogan«Mandees to the rescue» couldn’t be more true. They don’t have the best quality clothing but they’re cheap and can save you on those laundry days when you have absolutely nothing to wear and need something fast and cheap to go do your laundry with lol. Also they come to the rescue when you wait last minute to go shopping for an event of some sort and need a decent looking, simple dress to wear and have no time, they can be very good for situations like that. But other than that, the place is obnoxious, the music is too loud the dressing room is unorganised and there’s never enough girls working.

Mandee has some cute clothes, mostly geared towards preteen/teenage girls, but adult women can find some interesting stuff in there too if you’re in a party mood. It’s a fun store to look around, and the prices are reasonable. However, trying them on is another story. The fitting rooms at this location are grungy: filthy and messy. If they cleaned them up, I’d go there more often.

Ah Mandees. What can I say about you that hasn’t already been said? Its as if you took Wet Seal, Charlotte Russe, and Forever 21, put it in a blender and out popped this store. Its very much like any other tween to early 20s store you could find. The clothing is bright, obnoxious at times, and trendy. They do have a large clearance section which, if you have the patience to sift through, you may find some good deals. Age appropriate attire is attainable(says this 25 year old) but you do have to sift a great deal. My patience runs low. I always remembered this store being cheap, but the more trendy items weren’t all that cheap for such poorly made clothes. $ 38 for a sheer, floral top? I think probably not. The late teens that work here really have no interest in much. I can’t really blame them, I mean, they do work at Mandees.

A sort of Clothestime, Wet Seal, Dress Barn combination. Lots of teeny clothes in bright colors and wild accessories. I found quite a few things, however!

Mandee’s has been on Ditmars for at over 20 years. As a kid through my early 20s I loved shopping there for fashion. Now, in my 30s I still find my self popping in there now and again. There are treasures to be found. Most of the trendy stuff is not age appropriate for me, but if you dig deep you can find some good deals. I have found REALLY good clearance sales on shoes there, I almost don’t want to Unilocal about it, lest my secret get out. Steve Madden shoes for $ 15 dollars, Converse and New Balance, 75% off. Winter pea coats can be found on clearance as well. Snagged a nice Guess pea coat for $ 34 on clearance. I also go here for my work out pants, cheap sunglasses, gloves, scarves and other«disposable» items. I’m also addicted to cute socks and Mandee gives me my fix. They have cute accessories, purses and shoes that let me update my expensive staples every year. Pajamas! Love Pajamas! I love cute Betty Boop/Hello Kitty pajamas and they can be found here. They also have inexpensive slacks and button down shirts that are great for work and I have actually found that they do last a while if you wash them on gentle and line dry. I have a pair that I bought 7 years ago and they still are in great condition. They also have great inexpensive jeans. «Angels» jeans are the only brand of jeans that ever fits me right and they carry a huge selection.

I used to be a frequent buyer in Mandees when I was younger as my mom didn’t mind paying the low prices and I could find some decent colorful things in my age group. Entire the 24 – 29 age range and Mandees wouldn’t be your first stop when looking for something age appropriate. Lots of glittery word tees and overly distressed jeans for adults who are trying to hard and tween/teen set who don’t know any better. However, for cheap jeans you truly can’t go wrong here. They have lots of jeans, some around only 20 bucks. Of course you aren’t going to get any proper name brands but you wouldn’t expect it going in. They had things that were insane amounts of percentages off, but due to time constraints I couldn’t give it a proper run through. What they do have which is better than previous Mandees, is a relatively large area for accessories like bracelets and those ghetto ass big hoop earrings that I hold so dear. (Minus 1 star) One thing that hasn’t changed is their sub-par fitting room areas. I got slightly irritated by the woman who had to tell everyone going in that you couldn’t leave any clothes or hangers in the room. She had me in a tizzy that I was going to get in trouble when I realized I left one hanger behind. (Minus 1 star) Why WHY do people choose to work in customer service when they are clearly a stank ass ho? Inquiring minds want to know. And if said stank ass hoe decides to make a decision to ruin people’s shopping experience, why would management put her in charge of both the fitting room AND the register. So of course it had to be one of the SISTAHS with a bad weave sitting high atop her head. She treated you like she was doing you a favor by graving shoppers with her presence and was the most discourteous cashier ever. No greeting, no words spoken during the entire transaction and when it was over she simply walked away from the register akin to my Popeyes shennanigans. Now I expect it from Popeyes but Mandees is to supposed to come to my rescue and it didn’t in that area. It’s a perfect place to stop however when you need something cheap and you don’t care how long it lasts. For the long legged ladies like myself, avoid purchasing the regular length jeans, as they are quick to shrink leaving people wondering where the flood you believe is about to begin is, as you have procured some high water pants for such an occasion.

Trust me when I say i don’t shop here as the clothing isn’t meant for people like me(male). However, after coming in here with a female who loves shopping, I realized that this place is great for children’s clothes and incredibly cheap women’s wear. She ended up purchasing panties for $ 1.99(is this cheap?) each, when it was originally marked $ 5 each. I noticed sale signs all over that ranged from 40−75% off and I overheard a sales associate mention that such sales happen«practically every other week.» The clothes here are hardly name brand and usually thats a good thing except the material seems to range from sub par to upper medium quality. Mandee’s isn’t small either, its a very good size for a department store that apparently gets real busy on the weekends. There needs to be a sitting area for all of the males bored out of their skull in this store, like yours truly.
