Another example of a NYC taqueria that is below average. For some reason most New York mexican places always have: — flavorless meat — smaller sized burritos — not juicy enough — salsa that’s not spicy enough Taco Jalisco follows all of these trends.

We love Jaliscos! The tacos are delicious. The al pastor taco is better than that of any of the Mexican restaurants in the vicinity. For those not familiar, al pastor is succulent pork with tangy pineapple in a taco — with a squeeze of lime it is superlative. The other tacos are delicious as well. The bistec and chorizo are particular highlights as well. There are so many things on the menu w are looking forward to trying. Oh, and its cheap! What more could you ask for?

Coming back from a late night in the city this is a go to spot for the drunk munchies. The nachos are really really good. Honestly, if you get a burrito, quesedilla, or nachos it all will pretty much taste the same. The owners are really really nice, and they take credit cards. Yes this food truck has saved me from many bad hangover headaches…

DONOTEATHERE. We found a wire in our food that looks like a staple with tape. The restaurant said they don’t use staples so I was mistaken. It’s a thin wire about the length of a Q-tip that was probably from some packaging. This is after they sent the wrong order but we chalked that up to a minor mistake. We definitely didn’t order a side of metal in our tacos though. There are FAR better options in Astoria. Avoid this place!

Had the stuffed pepper one day and it was delicious, so much so that I ordered it again a week later. Unfortunately this time it was disgusting. The beans were rotten — they actually smelled rotten too, the rice was dry, the stuffed pepper was very watery and just tasted terrible. It was like night and day, I had to throw it out after 3 bites. I don’t like to play Russian roulette with my meals so I will pass on this place going forward.

I’ve had their tacos from the truck on Broadway &31st St and they’re pretty good. They’re a bit more pricier but they usually put more filling. I was looking for some late night food at around 1:30am and I was amazed that seamless had Taco Jalisco was still open and delivering on top of that! I called the number just in case and found out they’re open ’til 3am. Perfection. I ordered a bistec burrito, al pastor burrito and chicken nachos. The burritos were a little on the smaller side for $ 8 but they were pretty good. What I want to rave about are the chicken nachos. A great size for $ 8, comes with plenty of chicken meat, cheese, beans, pico de gallo, slices jalapeños and some chunks of avocado. Very delicious and filling for two people. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Tired of the same old taco place in astoria. I decided to do a seamless search for(tacos) and this place popped up as delivering for mexican food. I’ve seen the truck on 31st and Broadway but never stopped for food. So I gave it a shot and ordered. I had my food in 20mins. Taste great and was not too expensive. I would definitely order from here again. 2 Thumbs up!

So I was driving back from Virginia and didn’t get home until 1:00AM on a Sunday night. In an effort to get home as quickly as possible without any further delay, I didn’t stop for anything… and I mean nothing. Starving the entire way, I was so glad to be home. A quick search on Seamless resulted in an attempted order with another restaurant. Needless to say the restaurant was closed even though they said they were open until 1:30AM so they didn’t take my order. Definitely concerned, I tried another place and this truck was it. Needless to say, I was pretty appreciative that they were still delivering food at 1:30AM. Within about 20 minutes, I had my food at the door and I scarfed every bit of it down my gullet. I ordered 1 steak taco, 1 al pastor taco, and 1 huevos con chorizo torta. First off, I was impressed with how much meat was in the tacos, although it was a little more expansive than other taco trucks, they piled that meat high. The torta wasn’t really a torta but a cemita(or maybe they ran out of the torta bread). I was happy they had oaxaca cheese in it since it’s the best cheese for Mexican food but I wish they had some more kick added to the sandwich like jalapenos. The chorizo in the sandwich was pretty flavorless and I was a little disappointed that the egg was not a whole egg but scrambled while on the flat top. If I were to go back, I’d stick to the tacos but a huge thumbs up to them for delivering so late on a Sunday night.

I’m here at least 2 – 3 times a week. Their ingredients are so fresh — they cook the meet right in front of you so you know it hasn’t been sitting they’re for hours like most foot trucks. They’re prices can’t be best for what you get. The quesadilla for $ 6 you get a salad and rice with. It’s a little small if your very hungry I’d also recommend adding on a cantina taco for just $ 2.50. The roast pork tacos are my favorite. I feel like it a relatively healthily alternative when your hungry and want something fast. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area and lucky enough to see them. They’re usually on the corner of 30th and broadway in Astoria.
