A Plus Alterations

Quick, skillful service. Altered a way-​too-​big suit to fit me great. Got it done quickly before a sudden funeral. Very good experience all around.

I brought a coat to be taken in and was told that it would cost $ 45-​$ 50. When I came to pick it up the price had gone up to $ 56. I know that’s only a $ 6 difference but don’t tell me a price and then go over just to make a few extra bucks. I am a small business owner and if I tell someone a price, I stick to that price – ESPECIALLY if we’re talking 5 and 6 dollars!
I’ve had this kind of thing happen countless times while living in Athens. I don’t know if it’s because people there are struggling more than in other areas that I have lived or if people see the college kids as easy targets (I was several years out of college by this time but still appeared to be about 20.)
Anyways, the fitting was not done properly and I really wish I would have taken it somewhere else. However, the work was completed on time so I give this place ²⁄₅ Stars.

My daughter bought a used prom dress that was perfect for her in every way… except for the size. We found A Plus Alterations in the Yellow Pages, and really took a big chance on taking it to someone new, since my usual seamstress retired. We could not have been more pleased with the work she was able to pull off on the heavily beaded dress! Excellent and timely work!
