While I have never been in the restaurant itself, we have had them cater meals for groups several times. Everything from the rice to the chicken is delicious. They never disappoint!

Very good local place. Quiet setting, and has a home feel. The food was delicious will defiantly go back. The only complaint I have was my girlfriends food came out cold.

Went for breakfast and it was such a pleasant experience. Cute décor and great fresh food. The menu had a good variety and I was more than pleased with my meal!

Great brunch/lunch spot. It was a much bigger space than I expected based on the pictures on Unilocal. The breakfast burrito with sausage was enormous, delicious, and cheap.

Finder is has won my heart from the first visit. I’ve post d photos with comments illustrating the delicious environment they’ve created. Now, I’ve finished my first breakfast here, their pulled pork hash sandwich of the day – delicious, if a little heavy on the vinegar, and chock full of large pieces of saluted peppers and onions, with large chunks of potato hash, creating an excellent balance of meat and veggies, on while wheat toast, with a separate plate of leftover hash, practically enough for a separate portion. My wife had the fried green tomatoes in grits, beautifully presented and just as tasty as it looks.(See photo of two meals on the table.) This place gets a «five» on all cylinders, food, service, ambiance, comfort… and good parking. Highly recommended!

I will start off by saying that this place was not at all what I expected. My review may be a little skewed because I don’t like restaurants set up like this one was. This is one of those places where you order at the counter and they bring your food out and then you clean up after yourself… I prefer the traditional restaurant. Reviewing it solely based on the type of restaurant it was… I was not impressed. The prices were decent for food, the coffee was a tad expensive. The girl at the counter wasn’t overly friendly. The food was ok– we each had a breakfast burrito– they were good but not amazing. The seating was really squished together and it was hard to carry a conversation– would probably be better if one went on a weekday.

The breakfast burrito, with added bacon and veggies, was one of the best I have ever experienced. Amazing. The old house location is also super cool. Plenty of room. This place rocks!

Between the quality and price, we will be coming here a lot. Our table got fried green tomato grits, bacon grits, skillet w/bacon, and quiche. And a brownie. Everything was very good. Order at the counter. Get your own water, forks, condiments, and napkins at a different counter; they bring the food, you bus your own table. I’m ok with this system, but they need to tweak it a little, it doesn’t work smoothly.

Expected this place to be crappy but it’s WONDERFUL! We went on Memorial Day weekend with our 7 month old son and realized they have a whole room full of baby and kids toys and books for mamas and papas too. And a separate changing table area and everything. So great and the food was really good. Very good chcocolate chip scone — like a biscuit instead of a rock like at some places. Try the fried green tomato grits!

Brunch was delicious! I had the skillet scramble and my husband had the Donderos Scramble. We both had the fried green tomatoes. It was wonderful! Definitely will recommend it to all of our friends. It was a wonderful change from the regular franchise breakfast.

So great! I’ve been here twice now and love it. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food, which really helps with moving things along, so there’s never been a wait. It’s in an old house, so there’s ton of different cozy rooms with tables and chairs. Perfect to grab a bite or work at!

Great little place with big atmosphere. Old house converted into café. We ate off of their brunch menu. Kids had breakfast quesadillas and grilled cheese. My wife and I had the fried chicken and cordon bleu wraps. Both were excellent! There is a kids play area in the back. Kept them busy while we waited. Very nice staff. Pleasurable visit.

What a neat place! Get the breakfast skillet all the way, its a solid amount of food. Great coffee, good prices, environmentally friendly, serve yourself, cool people. Definitely recommend at least for brunch.

They moved to the historic building next door, expanded the menu, and I am in LOVE. Donderos’ has upped the ante in the last year or so, and their excellent customer service paired with their delicious in-house or to-go food makes for a great experience. Love this place.

The exterior and sign don’t really light up eatery, but it’s a pretty stand up café and bakery inside. A warm atmosphere and quiet interior of a restored old home worn without the wallpaper and bare with interest. I’d happily return here to try more of the menu. A quick glance over proved to show at least several vegetarian, and maybe vegan, options though I include the contents of a display fridge as well.~ The baked goods looked very tantalizing. Noteworthy props for the French macarons, but without the foot I can’t say I was as tempted as I may question the texture over the aesthetics, but we lost half the fun in that. I ended up being lured in with fruity apricot chutney served with the black bean burger and some chips with the raspberry limeade. :) This is a bus yourself kind of place. I’m finding I like these types of places a lot.(Maybe I have’t ran into the bad ones yet?) The staff was welcoming and helpful so cheers to that. This place would make a great place to just sit and finish off some papers or work. Large windows with open sunlight and a quiet relaxing sitting area. My only sadness is Donderos’ summer hours are til 3 P.M. but nothing to cry over or lose a star for.~ Just means I didn’t get to whip out the laptop and finish off some comic pages. Five stars for the stellar eats.

This place has great food and I really enjoy the rustic casual dining atmosphere. I ordered the ½ sandwich and soup combo. It was a great value at $ 6– chicken salad flatbread sandwich and roasted tomato bisque. The chicken salad was well seasoned and very moist which complimented the crunch of the flatbread. The bisque was hearty and satisfying. They give large portions and it was plenty of food for one person. Great food, good service, plenty of seating with a good vibe. I will be eating there more often.

Housed in a renovated old house the vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and warm, come in and stay awhile ya’ll. Super brunch selection(the Donderos Skillet with green onions and their salsa is awesome) as well as a full slate of pre-prepared take away dishes you can cook later. The high quality of the food is evident, and covers a broad range of styles(desserts, casseroles, and cooked to order brunch) and caters to many specially requirements(gluten free and vegetarian all the way to a great looking crab dish). They serve delicious Thousand Faces coffee that is actually hot :) and look to be using locally sourced ingredients, including herbs from outside.

I had been to their botanical garden location before, but I’ve never been to the Milledge Ave. one until today. It is in a lovely old house that is very well appointed and looks inviting to hang out for a while in. There’s even a little market area and some local art and handicraft for sale. There were some prepared meals and sandwiches that looked really good, but I went ahead and ordered from the menu. I ordered a black bean burger with some sort of excellent chutney and really enjoyed it. It was very light, unlike a lot of other veggie burgers that I find around here. Housemade chips were served with it that were just my speed of salty. Loved it. Best of all, the staff was incredibly personable and they seem like they’re really trying to do awesome things in the neighborhood and with the local community. I’ll be back. I dig it.

Bought a coupon for Dondero’s from and had no idea what to expect, as I just moved to town. Well let me tell you, it was great! I went on the day they served Indian food and had the Butter Chicken and the Saag Paneer. Both were delicious and came with a yummy yogurt sauce. The gentleman working was very friendly. It had a nice and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely go back and try some of the other daily specials.
