Pricey hotel, more than we wanted to spend, but WELL worth it. Rooms were very spacious, clean, and well taken care of. The breakfast was delicious! Lots of variety and hot and fresh. Entire facility was non-smoking too which was a plus.

Another great experience at a Hampton Inn. We had a king studio suite and it was very roomy. Easy access to the hotel from the highway, nice buffet breakfast in the morning and a good location with lots of restaurant choices for the evening. My only complaint is because it’s so close to the highway you could hear the traffic at night. I’m not sure if that’s possible from all the rooms but it was from ours, #104. I would stay here again.

This place was exactly halfway between New Orleans and my hometown in Indiana so it was a great stopping point on our roadtrip. Our room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and the price was right. They even offer a government/military family rate. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or fitness center, but I took a look at them. Pool is small, but perfect for a relaxing dip. Gym is small as well, but has the requisite aerobic machines and some free weights. Breakfast is complimentary and has the staples you expect. Eggs, bacon, B&G, fruit, cereals, waffles, juices, coffee, milk, water, bagels, muffins, etc. Makes for a great start to a long day of driving.

This is a nice hampton for the money. I stay at a lot of hotels and this one looks like it was recently redone. I would have given it a 5 but the highway is loud. And the rooms windows are not very sound proof. Other than that the hotel is clean and comfortable.

This is the same Hampton I always stay in when I’m in the area.(I’ve stayed 3 separate occasions) The past 2 times, everything was as expected. On those reviews I would probably rate this place a 4. However, this trip was night and day different. Just to name a few of the unpleasantries; first off, the lady at the front desk during check in told me there was no AAA discount. I have never stated at a hotel, this one included, that didn’t offer AAA discount. She rushed me my room key and quickly grabbed up her phone and continued her Facebook session. Whatever, I had a long day and didn’t feel like arguing with her at the moment. Once I get in my room and situated, I smell the faint scent if sewage. I tried to pinpoint the lovely aroma, but inevitably failed. Then I tried to watch a few minutes of TV before I crash for the night. Both the remote and TV itself could not change the channel. Only the power button and volume worked. I fiddled with this for several minutes before declaring this stay a total failure. So I lightly dusted my pillow with cologne and proceeded to have a horrible nights sleep. This review would have been a 2, but with my past positive experiences, I’ll blend them for the 3 they received. It seems this place has declined since my stay here last year. Not to mention I payed $ 20 more dollars than what a room at the Westin 17 miles south of this Hampton would have costed me. I won’t make this mistake again.

I’m not sure what is keeping me from giving this a 5 Star… maybe because for me to give a 5 start something has to be way above and beyond. Just like the other Hampton Inns we stay at the beds are super comfortable, and the breakfast fits our needs. I always go for the oatmeal and fresh fruit. They also have bagged breakfasts for those on the go. I love getting a hot chocolate for my road trip. Coffee and cookies are available round the clock. We have a pleasant stay. The only thing we found lacking was a hot tub in the pool area. However, we have found that the further south we travel some do not have indoor pools.

This is a nice spot to stay at. Clean and friendly. Hilton properties tend to not let one down. What can I say, when you are dead tired heading to NOLA a comfortable bed is waiting.

By far one of the nicest Hampton Inns I’ve ever stayed in and I spend nearly 50% of my life in HIlton hotels. It appears to either be brand new or very recently renovated. The staff here is super friendly — I definitely couldn’t forget that I was in the south! I was upgraded to one of the bigger rooms with a couch and kitchen area. Sure, the bed was a little harder than most HI beds — usually they’re some of the most comfortable in the Hilton family, but this one kinda felt cheap. It wasn’t nearly as bad as the Hilton Garden Inn beds, though. Restaurant choices in the area are limited, BUT there is a new Starbucks just down the street, which makes it all totally worth it.

Let me first say that I only am giving it a two because of my allergies and how uncomfortable and itchy the bed is. The other problem I had was my allergies were horrible here. I didn’t know Athens, Al was the soy capital of the US. I was in agony with my allergies. I think the bed had soy foam also, because I was unable to sleep on it. Even my non allergenic hubby was miserable and unable to sleep and he’s usually knocked out cold. Otherwise, the hotel is nice and again the staff is about as sweet as you’ll ever meet.

Hampton Inns are generally a sure thing and for the most part this one doesn’t disappoint. The only complaint I had was that the bed was FIRM I mean really, sleeping on wood, firm
