Ta Nails

I was incredibly disappointed in this salon. Went and initially saw John. He used tools pulled out of a drawer and not a sanitizer, had no attention to detail, destroyed my cuticles, and gave me the worst gel manicure I’ve had in years.
I called the next day to make an appointment to have the gels removed (explaining on the phone why) and they assigned me to Lynn. She was quiet and gentle and I was pleased with her service. However, they charged me to have them removed and didn’t seem to realize I made the appointment because of poor service.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

So, I’ve been a long time customer of TA nails, even before they moved to this location and use to work at LA nails. I’m going to keep it short (not really), although I really have a lot to say. First off, this salon use to care about their customers and their services were great, but over the years of them thinking that no other nail salon in the Athens’s area was equal to their services, they have allowed their customer service to fall drastically. Not all technicians can do satisfactory work and they tell you to come when you call, but end up waiting 30 minutes before you receive any services. My last straw was I called to see if they (Kim or James owners) were available to do a full set. James told me yes and that I could come; keep in mind I spoke to him at 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:40 and James was not there, his wife Kim tells me to pick out a color and he’ll be back shortly. James returns to the store at 4:10 and then tells me he can’t do my nails because he has to leave by 4:45 to go pick his children up from school. He then says I told you to come at 3:30 which clearly was a lie, but even if that was the case, I waited for over 30 mins to be told you can’t do them. Then he suggests one of his other employees and by this time I’ve had it and will never return to this store because he has made it clear that he doesn’t value my time. It’s unprofessional to have your customers wait for ample amount of time and to be combative when the problem is within the business itself. One thing that will keep customers from returning to a business is bad customer service. Regardless of how long you’ve been going to a place when you feel like you’re not wanted there, you take your money and business else where. By me not returning to this location won’t hurt this stores business, but this review will allow others to know what to expect when you go here. I took my chances and went to a new Salon (Bellagio Nail Bar in Oconee shopping center). This is a nice place and they had me in and out in no time with a new full set that was FLAWLESS. Sorry TA, but you all need to do better.

If I could I would give it 0 stars. I got my nails cut before a manicure and he cut them crooked. I left looking like I let my 3 year old niece paint my nails. I do not recommend this place.

Probably the best pedicure I’ve had in a long time. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive as well as know how to do their work well. I had Benny do my pedicure both times I was here and I would highly recommend him. They offer a wide range of colors for both gel and regular manicures. The prices are very reasonable.

I went here when I was in Athens a few years ago. This place was the best walk-​in nail service I have had. The staff was courteous, the mani-​pedi my friend and I received were really good and their price was the lowest I have ever seen! Definitely will go here again when I am in town.

I always go to this salon. So far of any I have been to in athens, this Is definitely the best. They are nice and they do a great job on the pedicures. I usually get the middle one (deluxe?) With the hot towel wrap and the circulation massage and callus removal. It is always amazing. They take their time and usually that pedicure takes about an hour. It is very relaxing. They also offer waxing as well, I have only had my eyebrows done there but they did an excellent job.

I had a full set applied two weeks ago on a whim. Within the first week they were lifting on the edges. I went back after two weeks and asked for the acrylic to be removed and for a manicure. I was told to have a seat at #7. I sat there and watched as more than half a dozen women came in after me and were attended to immediately. After 20+ minutes of being ignored I got up and walked out. They do not even deserve the one star that I was forced to give them in order to write this review. THEY SUCK!

I was very disappointed with the service at this nail salon. I barely opened the door when a man barked at me from one of the nail stations asking me what I wanted. After yelling the number 4 several times, I was seated. I could have looked passed this if my gel manicure came out nice, but it didn’t. Never again

I had a horrible experience, my lady Lisa did a horrible job for my nails! I had to go home and REDO them, like seriously? What kind of nail place leaves you want to redo your nails that you just done? I guess she didn’t clean my nails right because there was bubbles/​dots on my nail and she also nicked my skin! Have she really been doing this? She should’ve gotten a one star since she wasn’t friendly either! I didn’t notice until I got home because I was really tired but that was a terrible experience, I could do a better job painting my nails then her!
However, the lady who did my feet was pretty good, I don’t remember her name but it was really nice and relaxing. So this lady saved the review to a 3 stars.
Just don’t ask for Lisa! She’s terrible!

I love TA Nails! The service is great! I always get the gelish nails and they always look good! With a manicure I pay $ 25 and without it is $ 20. Set an appointment with Jon or James –they’re so sweet and always do a really great job!

Love this salon! In my opinion, it’s one of the best in Athens. They are almost always packed, but they have tons of people (mostly men!) working there and you rarely have to wait too long.
I always get gel nails and they last forever! And I think I pay between $ 20 – 25 depending on if I get a manicure or just the color.

Worse eyebrow wax ever! I never go to these places for eyebrow wax but went in for convenience factor while shopping in center. The lady pulled the wax off my skin while barely holding skin, I ended up with scabs for a week on lids from the skin damage. At the end of the procedure, she accidentally dropped hot wax on my nose and face while rushing. At this point we were done and I was out of there. Other than the lady doing my eyebrows, the people seemed nice but I must stress that we must not accept poor business practices in this country no matter who you are.

Very nice people and the did excellent job on my nails.

Asked if the could kindly remove the shellack polish for me. didn’t want anything else and they were pretty pushy about it. I understand y’all are trying to make money but I’m happy to pay to just get this crap off my nails! they did a piss poor job, still have bits of gel on my nails and acted rudely when I pointed this a
out. they proceeded to tell me no its ok… right. lazy. so I will never go back. If you aren’t willing to do a good job on a small task, why would I reward you with my business when I am getting another 30 dollar gel nail manicure and pedi for 18.,. let me think: NO! I’ll be going to the other end of the plaza and seeing what that salon has to offer.
